호스 제작시 니플 돌기부가 변형 특성에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of the Nipple Protrusions on the Deformation Characteristics of the High-Pressure Hose in the Manufacturing Process)

  • In this paper, the stress and deformation characteristics of the high pressure hose that have the hose components such as rubber, braid and steel( sleeve and nipple) during the manufacturing process, and analyzed using the [mite element method The swaging process is modeled with a contact problem in identical conditions of real circumstances, and the properties of hose materials based on the experimental data are used in this analysis. Also, to understand the effect of the nipple protrusions on the deformation characteristics of a power steering hose among the steel materials shape of the existing model, and changed the steel materials shape partially, and compared with the existing model.

  • 유압호스는 적용되는 압력에 따라서 저압, 중압, 고압으로 구분되어진다. 승용차의 파워스티어링 시스템은 저압부와 고압부 시스템으로 구분되어질 수 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 차량이 회전할 때 발생되는 충격압력이 고압호스부에 적용될 때 수명을 예측하는 것이다. 내부와 외부 조건을 조절하기 위해서 충격 압력과 작동유의 온도는 충격압력 시스템에서 제어되는 것이 필요하다. 충격압력 시험에서 압력과 작동유 온도만을 조절하여 얻은 결과는 고압호스의 수명을 예측하기 위한 조절형 가속수명시험을 적용하였으며, 또한 유한요소법으로 스웨이징부를 해석하였다.

  • Flexible hydraulic hose assembly that consists of hose and joints is used widely on various construction heavy equipments, agricultural machines, motor vehicles, and industrial heavy machines that require flexibility on hydraulic pipelines. It is classified by the maximum usage pressure which is determined by the winding layers of coiling steel wire and the inner diameter of the hoses. In this paper, we designed and performed an accelerated life test for assessing the reliability of a flexible hydraulic hose assembly. In the proposed accelerated life test, typical impulse pressure testing method is applied with the half omega flexing operation to simulate the practical flexing motion of the hose assembly.

  • The mechanical components with high-pressure hoses are generally produced by the swaging process. The hoses are composed of the rubber materials and the reinforced braids to support tensile forces. In case they are subjected to high mechanical and thermal loads under severe operating conditions, the oil in hoses can leak at the parts of small clamping forces. In this paper, the deformation characteristics of a fiber-reinforced hose are analyzed with respect to the jaw strokes using the finite element method. The manufacturing process is modeled with a contact problem in consideration of a real situation, and the material properties based on the experimental results are used in the analysis. Examinations of the relationship between the swaging strokes and the deformation behaviors of the hose were made on the basis of the stress and strain values of the hose components. The relations between clamping forces and separating forces are also proposed, in order to estimate clamping forces corresponding to separating forces for the given model.

  • We have studied on the main causes of pressure drop in the paint hose under the spraying with airless spray pump and suggest calculation method for selecting the optimum pressure drop during the spraying. Among many factors contributing the pressure drop during the airless spraying procedure of paint, some of the key factors and the correct method for checking pressure loss between airless pump and spray gun are addressed. We have developed pressure loss calculation method which depending on hose length and diameter, viscosity and flow rate in the painting hose during the spraying. also we have developed calculation equation for the expected spray tip flow rate which depending on pressure and specific gravity and tip size.

  • 한국형발사체 및 시험발사체에 대한 지상 운용을 위해서는 우주센터 종합조립동 내에 여러 가지 지상지원장비가 필요하다. 여러 가지 지상지원장비 중 발사체 접속장치와 고압유연배관은 지상의 고압가스 공급장비와 발사체 사이에 고압배관 연결을 위해 필수적인 장비이다. 본 논문에서는 고압가스 연결을 위해 필요한 발사체 접속장치와 고압유연배관에 대한 개요와 개발 진행 상황에 대해 소개하고자 한다.

화재현장에서 사용하는 소방호스의 마찰손실 감소 방안에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Friction Loss Reduction in Fire Hoses Used at a Fire Scene)

  • 본 연구에서는 화재현장에서 사용하는 소방호스에 대하여 사용압력과 방수량 변화에 따른 마찰손실을 실측하였다. 소방호스의 종류, 수량, 사용압력 등 소방호스의 사용 실태를 분석하여 그 결과를 토대로 실측한 결과 화재현장에서 소방공무원이 사용하는 조건에서 소방호스의 마찰손실은 무려 56.8%까지 측정되었다. 옥내 외 소화전설비에서 펌프양정 계산시 사용하는 소방호스의 등가 길이와도 많은 차이가 난다. 관련규정조차 마찰손실에 대한 제한 규정이 없고, 소방호스를 생산하는 업체에서도 마찰손실을 측정한 자료가 없으며, 화재현장에서는 마찰손실을 고려하지 않고 소방호스를 전개함으로써 호스의 사용량이 많아지고 소방펌프차에서 고압으로 방수하게 되는 원인이 되므로 본 연구를 통하여 소방호스 마찰손실에 대한 등가길이 기준을 정립하고 화재현장에서 소방호스의 마찰손실을 고려한 전개 방법을 제안하고자 한다.

다이캐스팅 금형 공간 내의 감압도에 미치는 제 변수의 영향 (Effect of Evacuation Variables on Pressure Change in the Die Cavity)

  • There are two types of vacuum die casting, one is known as the chill block method, and the other is the valve block method. Efficiency of the valve block method is better than the chill block method. However purchasing and maintaining cost of the former one is very high, the latter method is popular in many small and medium die casting shops. Simple evacuation system using chill vent was prepared to investigate the effect of the air pressure, hose length and chill vent type on the pressure change in die cavity in this study. The rate of evacuation was influenced by the evacuation method, chill vent condition and hose length. Evacuation time became longer and vacuum level lower when evacuating cavity via chill vent. It took a longer time to evacuate the cavity when a longer hose was used. Vacuum level in the cavity also decreased with increase in hose length.

  • The failures such as leakage and burst stemmed from the repetitive motions of bending and stretching of the assembly of hydraulic hose in construction machines, agriculture machines, vehicles, and industrial heavy machines can induce big troubles. Therefore, the hydraulic hose itself eventually requires an estimation of life to operate the hydraulic system safely. In this research, we have qualitatively selected the efficient test items by the analysis of the life and potential failures of hydraulic hose. We have used more than seven of hydraulic hoses simultaneously for the research. We have applied impulse pressure and half omega flexing motions to the accelerated life testing Test results have been expressed by employing weibull plot.

  • The failure of hydraulic hose assemblies is caused by the impulse pressure and repetitive motions of bending and stretching (flexing) used at high pressure pipe in the form of bursting Since it takes long time to observe the bursting for life analysis, we can reduce test time by the method of applying the Knockdown stress which is equivalent to 70% of initial bursting pressure on rubber hose assemblies with maintaining the failure mode equally In this study, after scale parameter, shape parameter, and acceleration factor by preforming the impulse pressure test until the hose bursts, and finally analyzed the accelerated life.
