금속재와 복합재 이종구조물로 된 압력용기의 설계이론 개발 (Development of a Design Theory of a Pressure Vessel with Combined Structure of the Metal and the Composite)

  • 수십 msec의 단시간에 큰 추력을 발생시키는 임펄스모타의 무게를 가볍게 하기 위하여 금속재와 복합재를 조합하여 수만 psia의 초고압을 지탱하는 압력용기의 설계이론을 개발하였고, 탄소성 구조해석을 통하여 이론식의 타당성을 입증하였다. 임펄스모타의 연소관을 이론식으로 설계하고 제작하여 유압시험과 지상연소시험을 실시하였다. 실험결과의 파열압력은 설계식과 구조해석 결과로 예측한 값과 유사한 값을 보였다. 본 논문의 설계이론을 통하여 설계단계에서 가볍고도 충분한 안전율을 갖는 고압용기를 간단히 설계할 수 있게 되었다.

자연탐사활동이 과학고 학생들의 환경인식에 미치는 효과 (The Effect of Natural Exploration Activity on Environmental Perception of the Science High School Students)

  • Since the effect of environmental education at class using textbooks or materials related to environment is limited, the importance of activities for field experience is getting increased day by day. Thereby, the education tends to change into the type of education providing students with direct environmental experience. Students attending the science high school have excellent aptitude and ability for science and will lead the development of science in the future. Now it is urgent to develop various experiential programs which are helpful for them to establish desirable values on environment. However, the field of environmental education that allows science high school students equipped with ample environmental knowledge to improve environment sensitivity and have proper environment awareness is quite restricted as of now. Natural exploration activities are the programs which provide science high school students having lack of chance for environmental education with good opportunities to contact nature and also play significant roles in arousing their interest in issues related with environment. Therefore, it is thought that they will let science high school students explore the natural features of Korea, understand the importance of preserving environment and ecosystem profoundly, and encourage environmental awareness and will of environmental practice. Thereupon, with the study subjects of 121 first and second graders at U Science High School, this article analyzed their recognition of the necessity for environmental education and environmental pollution problems before and after the natural exploration activities, and conducted a survey on their satisfaction after the natural exploration activities and analyzed it. The result of this research is as follows. First, it was shown that the natural exploration activities were effective to raise the science high school students' awareness of issues related with environmental pollution. Second, the natural exploration activities had effect upon enhancing the students' willingness of environmental practice. Third, there was statistically significant correlation between the science high school students' satisfaction with the natural exploration activities and their achievement in the science subject. Fourth, there also was a statistically non or weakness significant correlation between their satisfaction with the natural exploration activities and preference for the science subject. In particular, it was found that students preferring biology indicated higher satisfaction.

선박용 판형 열교환기의 볼트풀림방지 및 수량최소화기법 개발 (Development of a Technique to Prevent Bolt Looseness and to Decrease in Quantity for the Plate Type Heat Exchanger Used in Large Craft)

  • There are many methods to assemble various parts of a product, and one of them is the bolting system widely used in a industrial field due to the merits; easiness to obtain strong tightening force, simplicity of assemble or disassemble in order to repair, substitution or cleaning, and so on. But this bolting system needs attachments not to let a bolt loose and they are an important factor to cost a great deal. In this study, some equations are suggested and FE analyses are carried out to verify the cause of the bolt looseness occurring in the tightening process. And because the number of bolts in the bolting system has been decided by empirical know-how of designers in the field, safety rate in the plate type heat exchanger is often too high. Therefore the equations to decrease in quantity are suggested in consideration of the relationship between a critical shearing force acting on the screw and a normal force acting on the cooling plate by the working fluid.

  • Recently, an apartment has been changed to be high and diverse. In addition, it has been popularized rapidly. The more number of residents are increased, the more danger of the fire is also increased. If residents are in the upper floor when a fire breaks out, they have much longer evacuation path than the usual. What is more, their condition becomes more unstable. so, riskiness of evacuation is very serious. We should set up environment of evacuation safely. Even though some evacuation system is set up , the dangerous situation is more likely to be occurred. Because it depend on the person. If the person in the building don't recognize that system, it's valueless. Therefore it's very important to understand residents' conciousness level which is related to flee for safety in the fire. In this study, we examine into residents' aware safety level by their residential type. And according to this data, let residents know how they escape from danger . As a result, they can get out of danger when a fire breaks out.

농촌 지역공동체 활성화지역 주민의 공동체특성 - 충남 홍동지역 사례연구 - (Residents' Community Characteristics of a Rural Area with Active Community - Case Study of Hongdong, Chungcheongnam-do -)

  • The purpose of this study was to give a suggestion for vitalizing rural area's community, with respect to the components of community; 'locality' and 'communality'. The survey was conducted at Hondong, Hodongseong-gun, Chungcheongnam-do, which was a representative area for active rural area community. For the survey, we interviewed an activist on the village in November $9^{th}$, 2014, and let 81 residents fill the questionnaires during March $7^{th}$ to $14^{th}$, 2015. Major findings were as follows. 1) As for the 'locality' factor, the motives of residents' immigration were influenced by the availability of facilities for agriculture education, living, and convenience in the area. Most of residents recognized that the area comprises their own community facility area and expanded area with concentrated facilities of 'li', minimal adminstration unit. It means that their usage pattern of community facilities influences their conceptions of the village. 2) As for the 'communality' factor, original residents and immigrant back-to-farm residents showed different pattern in communicating with neighbors and community facility usages. Residents communicated with neighbors by meeting up or using the concentrated facilities in Gatgol, and visited the Balmak library frequently. Residents' sense of belonging was high with mean 4.16 point of 5.0 in Likert scale.

  • Let M be a connected n-dimensional submanifold of a Euclidean space $E^{n+k}$ equipped with the induced metric and ${\Delta}$ its Laplacian. If the position vector x of M is decomposed as a sum of three vectors $x=x_1+x_2+x_0$ where two vectors $x_1$ and $x_2$ are non-constant eigen vectors of the Laplacian, i.e., ${\Delta}x_i={\lambda}_ix_i$, i = 1, 2 (${\lambda}_i{\in}R$) and $x_0$ is a constant vector, then, M is called a 2-type submanifold. In this paper we showed that a 2-type surface M in $E^3$ satisfies ${\langle}{\Delta}x,x-x_0{\rangle}=c$ for a constant c, where ${\langle},{\rangle}$ is the usual inner product in $E^3$, then M is an open part of a circular cylinder. Also we showed that if a quadric hypersurface M in a Euclidean space satisfies ${\langle}{\Delta}x,x{\rangle}=c$ for a constant c, then it is one of a minimal quadric hypersurface, a genaralized cone, a hypersphere, and a spherical cylinder.

노인 기분장애 영향요인에 관한 실증적 연구: 지역사회 특성의 영향을 중심으로 (An Empirical Study on Factor Associated with Mood Disorders in Elderly: Focusing on the Influence of Community Characteristics)

  • Background: The mental problems of the elderly are at issue as a serious social phenomenon. The purpose of this study is to identify risk factors affecting the mood disorders of the elderly. Methods: The subjects were 1,779,236 aged ${\geq}65$ and participated in health screening. Dependent variable was mood disorders. Independent variables were consisted of community level (regional deprivation index and healthcare resources) and individual level (sex, age, insurance type, disability, smoking, alcohol, physical activity, body mass index, and healthcare utilization). Multilevel logistic regression was performed. Results: At the individual level, women, employed insured, severely disabled people, heavy alcohol drinkers, high-intensity physical activity, body mass index, and patients who had chronic disease and severe disease were significantly associated with mood disorders. As the age has increased, it has let increase of mood disorders. At the community level, as the regional deprivation index has increased by 1, mood disorders has been increased by 1.005 times. The intra-class coefficient was 7.04%. Conclusion: We found individual and community level factors are associated with mood disorders. Systematic approach is essential to reduce mood disorders.

Wide Dynamic Range CMOS Image Sensor with Adjustable Sensitivity Using Cascode MOSFET and Inverter

  • In this paper, a wide dynamic range complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor (CMOS) image sensor with the adjustable sensitivity by using cascode metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistor (MOSFET) and inverter is proposed. The characteristics of the CMOS image sensor were analyzed through experimental results. The proposed active pixel sensor consists of eight transistors operated under various light intensity conditions. The cascode MOSFET is operated as the constant current source. The current generated from the cascode MOSFET varies with the light intensity. The proposed CMOS image sensor has wide dynamic range under the high illumination owing to logarithmic response to the light intensity. In the proposed active pixel sensor, a CMOS inverter is added. The role of the CMOS inverter is to determine either the conventional mode or the wide dynamic range mode. The cascode MOSFET let the current flow the current if the CMOS inverter is turned on. The number of pixels is $140(H){\times}180(V)$ and the CMOS image sensor architecture is composed of a pixel array, multiplexer (MUX), shift registers, and biasing circuits. The sensor was fabricated using $0.35{\mu}m$ 2-poly 4-metal CMOS standard process.

The Research of Costume on Shin, Yun-Bok's Painting in Late Chosun Dynasty

  • The Hanryu(韓流) phenomenon in and around Asia looks like slowing down lately. At that time, the research about contents that can inform the high traditional culture of Korea is useful. The references which can make a study about cultural clothes, especially paintings, let us to infer the life of the people of that period. In this research, I try to study the characteristics of customs, symbol and costumes by analyzing the paintings of Shin, Yun-Bok who was genre painter of the late Chosun. The mens are wearing dopo(道袍) and are putting sejodae(細條帶) around their waists and gat(黑笠). Also, We can see many different types of job such police, official man, a buddhist priest, a barmair, kisaeng and shaman through the costume. Most of women in the paintings, They are wearing Deep blue skirts, banhwoejang pale tone jeogori and tress. We discussed the common lives of the people through genre painting. They have satire, humor, and symbolism. Also, we can look into the various lifestyles, customs of times and seasons, ceremonial occasions, civilian beliefs, and plays ransmitted from the past. The philosophy in Shin, Yun- Bok's genre painting, is close to Taoism not Confucianism.

웨이블릿 변수화의 최적화를 통한 적응형 조기심실수축 검출 알고리즘 (An Adaptive Classification Algorithm of Premature Ventricular Beat With Optimization of Wavelet Parameterization)

  • The bio signals essentially have different characteristics in each person. And the main purpose of automatic diagnosis algorithm based on bio signals focuses on discriminating differences of abnormal state from personal differences. In this paper, we propose automatic ECG diagnosis algorithm which discriminates normal heart beats from premature ventricular contraction using optimization of wavelet parameterization to solve that problem. The proposed algorithm optimizes wavelet parameter to let energy of signal be concentrated on specific scale band. We can reduce the personal differences and consequently highlight the differences coming from arrhythmia via this process. The proposed algorithm using ELM as a classifier show high discrimination performance between normal beat and PVC. From the experimental results on MIT-BIH arrhythmia database the performances of the proposed algorithm are 98.1% in accuracy, 93.0% in sensitivity, 96.4% in positive predictivity, and 0.8% in false positive rate. This results are similar or higher then results of existing researches in spite of small human intervention.
