  • With increasing use of a personal mobile computer. the Mobile IPv6 is one of the main protocols that support mobility and complies with IPv6 specification. Similar to the mobile IPv6, the mobile IPv6 also has limitations on fast moving condition. The Hierarchical Mobile IPv6 is a solution that overcomes these limitations. The Hierarchical Mobile IPv6 is a micro mobility protocol that supports fast mobile IP handover and reduces signaling overhead with Mobility Anchor Point(MAP). But until now no paging method is applied to the Hierarchical Mobile IPv6 to reduce unnecessary signaling overhead and power consumption of mobile nodes. So, the paging mechanism for the Hierarchical Mobile IPv6 is proposed in this paper. the mechanism is implemented by making use of the destination option header and extension function and the last location algorithm. The results show that the Hierarchical Mobile IPv6 with the paging ability reduces the traffic of mobile networks by removing unnecessary binding update packet generated whenever handover takes place. Also, the larger the paging size is. the less the number of BU(Binding Update) massage generated.

  • This Letter proposes a scheme that supports a fast handover effectively in hierarchical mobile IPv6 networks (F-HMIPv6) by optimizing the associated data and control flows during the handover. By NS-2 simulation, we show that the proposed scheme can give better handover performance than a simple combination of existing schemes.

  • Internet Engineering Task Force(IETF) proposed the Hierarchical Mobile IPv6(HMIPv6) to support mobility efficiently. The HMIPv6 was developed to reduce the signaling overhead and delay concerned with Binding Update in Mobile IPv6. However, the HMIPv6 still need a further enhancement for supporting the real-time application because HMIPv6 only concerns with the latency resulted within a MAP For providing seemless handoff we propose a scheme that can reduce latency when Mobile Node changes a MAP. Also we compare the HMIPv6 with the proposed scheme through a analysis model.

  • Hierarchical Mobile IPv6 improves performance of Mobile IPv6 by managing Binding Update in terms of location, With improved handover delay, realization of delay-sensitive services (e,g, VoIP or video streaming) has become more persuadable, Comparing with Mobile IPv6, however, Hierarchical Mobile IPv6 brings security threats related to Local Binding Update to mobile network, In the RFC 4140, specific methods to authenticate Local Binding Update message are not explicitly presented. It is essential that design secure architecture to address problems related to authenticating Local Binding Update, Many secure suggestions for Local Binding Update, however, concentrate on infrastructure-based solutions such as AAA PKI. These approaches may cause scalability problem when the suggested solutions are applied to real network. Therefore we suggest authentication method that doesn't require infrastructure, In addition to authentication of Local Binding Update, our method also provides mobile node with power saving ability.

  • As the number of the mobile nodes (MNs) increases in the networks, the signaling traffic generated by mobility management for MNs will increase explosively, and such a phenomenon will probably affect overall network performance. In this paper, we propose a novel analytical approach using a continuous-time Markov chain model and hierarchical network model for the analysis on the signaling load of representative IPv6 mobility support Protocols such as Mobile IPv6 (MIPv6) and Hierarchical Mobile IPv6 (HMIPv6). According to these analytical modeling, this paper derives the various signaling costs, which are generated by an MN during its average domain residence time when MIPv6 and HMIPv6 are deployed under the same network architecture, respectively. In addition, based on these derived costs, we investigate the effects of various mobility/traffic-related parameters on the signaling costs generated by an MN under MIPv6 and HMIPv6. The analytical results show that as the average moving speed of an MN gets higher and the binding lifetime is set . to the larger value, and as its average packet arrival rate gets lower, the total signaling cost generated during its average domain residence time under HMIPv6 will get relatively lower than that under MIPv6, and that under the reverse conditions, the total signaling cost under MIPv6 will get relatively lower than that under HMIPv6.

  • The Mobile IPv6 provides the enhanced internet services to user by supporting a node's mobility. In Mobile IPv6(MIPv6), the mobile node sends the binding message which binds home address(HoA) with care-of address(CoA) to the home agent whenever it changes its point of attachment to the internet. To reduce the mobility management signal message the Paging Hierarchical Mobile IPv6(PHMIPv6) is proposed. The mobile node does not send the binding message within the domain if the mobile node's state is idle. Therefore the mobility signal message cost can be reduced. However, when the mobile node's session arrival rate is high the many mobility management signal cost are needed because the paging cost is very high. In this paper, we analysis the drawback of PHMIPv6 and propose the scheme which can reduce the mobility management signal cost. The proposed scheme works independent of the number of subnet in the domain. Therefore the proposed scheme can improve the mobile node's mobility management scheme.

  • The Hierarchical Mobile IPv6 (HMIPv6) has been proposed to accommodate frequent mobility of the Mobile Node and to reduce the signaling load. A Mobility Anchor Point is a router located in a network visited by the Mobile Node. The Mobile Node uses the Mobile Anchor Point as a local Home Agent. The absence of any protections between Mobile Node and Mobile Anchor Point may lead to malicious Mobile Nodes impersonating other legitimate ones or impersonating a Mobile Anchor Point. In this paper, we propose a mechanism of the secure Mobile Anther Point discovery in HMIPv6. The performance analysis and the numerical results presented in this paper show that our proposal has superior performance to other methods.

  • The binding update of the Mobile IPv6 which does a route optimization in basic by the node which moves frequently brings about the signaling traffic increase of binding update. It supplements this the MAP(Mobile Anchor Point) for to let, and Hierarchical Mobile IPv6 which considers a macro mobility and a micro rambling regional mobility was proposed. But Mobile IPv6 when transmitting the packet, always does to pass by the mP, the packet intensive actual condition of the MAP to occur it does not guarantee a route optimization. In this study, It accomplishes the course improvement which considers the mobility of mobile node and it interprets the relaxation quality of packet intensive actual condition with the MAP
