트롤 어구에 대한 가상 고등어의 반응 행동 시뮬레이션 (Simulation of the virtual mackerel behavior to the trawl gear)

  • This paper focuses on the mackerel's visual ability and swimming capability, and aims to describe the behavior in capture and escape process by trawl. The visual sensory systems and reaction behavior based locomotory capability were analyzed and simulated. The ability of fish to see an object depends on the light intensity and the contrast and size of the object. Swimming endurance of the fish is dependent on the swimming speed and the size of the fish. Swimming speeds of the fish are simulated 3 types of the burst speed, the prolonged speed and the sustained speed according to the time they can maintain to swim. The herding and avoiding is typical reaction of the fish to the stimuli of trawl gear in the capture process. These basic behavior patterns of the virtual mackerel to the gear are simulated. This simulation will be helpful to understand the fishing processes and make high selectivity of fishing.

Post-Adoption of Online Shopping: Do Herding Mentality or Health Beliefs Matter?

  • Purpose: The Covid-19 pandemic has triggered several herd purchase behaviors, and online shopping has been considered a health-related preventative behavior. Thisstudy aimsto the relative impact of health threat beliefs concerning Covid-19 (perceived susceptibility and perceived severity) and herd mentality on consumers' online shopping post-adoption disconfirmation and continuance intention of online shopping. Research design, data and methodology: An internet survey was conducted with Vietnamese consumers, and upon screening, usable data of 292 responses were analyzed using PLS-SEM. Results showed that while herd mentality positively affects disconfirmation, health threat beliefs including perceived susceptibility and perceived severity of Covid-19 do not. Results: Results also provided further support for the notion that disconfirmation is a crucial determinant of post-adoption continuance intention. Moreover, herd mentality also has a significantly negative influence on online shopping post-adoption continuance intention. Conclusions: The research provides evidence supporting the role of herd mentality and post-adoption disconfirmation in driving consumers' intention to continue online shopping. However, the research shows that neither the perceived susceptibility of Covid-19 nor the perceived severity of Covid-19 has significant impact on post-adoption disconfirmation, adding mixed evidence to the application of health belief theory in technology (such as online shopping) adoption.

Role of Animal Agriculture for the Quality of Human Life in the 21st Century - Review (Keynote Speech) -

  • The role of animal agriculture for the quality of human life has always been emphasized during 20th century and it is expected to be even more important in terms of food supplies and in providing additional functions in the future. The world human population has almost tripled during a period of half century. The world population of animals has increased 2~3 times (6 times for chicken) during the last 60 years, and the total amount of livestock products has increased 5~6 times (more than 10 times in pork) with higher annual growth rate (9%) in developing countries. Increased personal income certainly encouraged demand for animal products over grains and lower animal production costs resulted from scientific and technological advances. Similarly the production of total grains has more than doubled owing to the advances in agricultural science during the later part of the 20th century. The average life span of world people in 1950s was only 46 years, which will be increased to almost 66 years in the year 2000. Present date clearly indicate that the life span of people is proportional to their income (GNP) and/or animal protein intake. Animals can provide other resources than foods. The increase of human population indicates that the number of animals as well as per capita consumption of animal products will be increased in the 21st century. The other resources we get from animals are drafts, packing, riding, hunting and herding. Guiding the blind, protection and companionship are also examples of what we can expect from animals. In the very near future, animals will become major donors of organs, skin and producers of drugs or special functional foods. It may be concluded that animals are very closely associated and related to the quality of human life, and they are expected to remain the same way in the 21st century.

주식투자 전략, 과거 재무정보, 투자자의 행태편향에 대한 융합적 연구 (A Converging Approach on Investment Strategies, Past Financial Information, and Investors' Behavioral Bias in the Korean Stock Market)

  • 본 연구는 한국 증권시장에서 과거 재무정보인 자본이익률(ROE)과 주가수익률(PER)를 이용해 가치투자 전략과 모멘텀 투자전략의 성과를 향상시킬 수 있는지 실증분석하였다. 본 연구는 가치투자전략과 모멘텀 투자전략 모두 ROE/PER가 높은 기업으로 구성된 포트폴리오의 투자성과가 종전의 가치투자전략이나 모멘텀 투자전략보다 높은 양(+)의 초과수익률을 나타냄을 관찰하였다. 본 연구는 이러한 초과수익률의 발생 원인을 설명하기 위해, 관련 심리학 분야의 선행연구를 이용한 융합적 접근방법으로, 증권시장 참여자들의 보수주의나 확증편향 같은 의사결정 행태의 불완전성이 초과수익의 원인이 될 수 있음을 토론하였다. 이는 증권시장에서 투자자들이 합리적으로 행동한다는 효율적시장 가설의 예측과 일치하지 않는 결과이다.

스마트폰 기반 모바일 뱅킹 서비스 수용의도의 선행요인으로서 개인적 영향요인과 사회적 영향요인의 역할에 관한 실증적 연구 (The Role of Personal and Social Dimensions in the Determination of the Intention to use Smartphone-based Mobile Banking Services: An Empirical Investigation)

  • 오늘날 모바일뱅킹은 은행들에게 고객편의성 증대는 물론 비용절감의 기회를 제공할 수 있어 도입하는 은행들이 늘고있는 반면, 스마트폰 이용능력 부족 등과 같은 개인적 이유로 모바일 뱅킹을 이용하기를 꺼려하는 고객들이 아직 많기 때문에 이러한 고객들의 모바일뱅킹 이용 거부감이 은행 온라인 전략에 걸림돌이 되고 있다. 이러한 배경에서 본 연구에서는 개인적 및 사회영향요인들에 기초한 스마트폰 기반의 모바일 뱅킹서비스 수용의도의 예측 모델을 제시하고 이를 실증분석 방법을 통해 검증하는 데 주된 목적이 있다. 실증분석을 위해 751명의 모바일뱅킹 이용자들을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 가설검정 결과에 의하면, 개인적 영향요인들은 모두 수용의도에 긍정적인 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 사회적 영향요인들 중에서 인지된 무리행동은 수용의도에 유의한 영향이 있는 반면, 주관적 규범은 유의한 영향을 미치지 못하는 것으로 나타남에 따라, 모바일 뱅킹의 수용은 주변 지인들의 시선보다는 대세라는 인식에 의해 더 중요한 영향을 받는다는 점이 확인됐다. 연구결과를 바탕으로 학문적 및 실무적 시사점을 제시하였다.

스트로보광에 의한 전갱이와 잉어의 망막운동반응 (Retinomotor Responses of Jack Mackerel Trachurus Japonicus and Carp Cyprinus Carpio to Strobe Light)

  • 위협광에 의한 어류의 행동제어개발을 위하여, 스트로보광에 대한 전갱이와 잉어의 명순응과정을 조사하였는데, 스트로브광의 섬광빈도는 전갱이의 경우, 1.7, 5, 10, 25, 430Hz의 5단계, 잉어의 경우는 1.7, 5, 25Hz의 3단계로 하였다. 안구표본의 채취는 조사전과 조사직후부터 1, 5, 10, 30분 경과마다 행하였고, 채취한 각 표본은 종단조직절편을 만들고 현미경 관찰을 행하였다. 망막의 순응율은 원추체지수를 구하여 나타내었다. 조사시간에 따른 평균 순응율은; \circled1 전갱이의 경우, 광조사전의 27%가 1, 5, 10, 30분 경과 시마다 각각 42.6%, 49.8%, 59.8%, 83.1%로 증가하였다. \circled2 잉어의 경우, 광조사전의 28.4%가 1, 5, 30분 경과 시마다 각각 51%, 54.9%, 91.3%로 되었다. 명순응과정은; \circled1 전갱이의 경우 430Hz, 25Hz, 5Hz, 1.7Hz, 10Hz의 순으로, \circled2 잉어의 경우는 25Hz, 5Hz, 1.7Hz의 순으로 대략 빨랐다.

해양오염제거용 천연분말상 유흉착재의 흡착 특성에 관한 연구 (Adsorption Characteristics of Natural Powdered Oil Absorbent for Marine Oil Pollution)

  • The amount of petroleum consumption has been Increased according to the industrialization and It leads to the increase of the possibility of marine oil pollution. In Korea, some countermeasures including oil skimmer, gelling agent and herding agent of oil have been used for the remediation of the pollution. However, most of them have lets of shortcomings in the application under in-situ condition, because they are sensitive to the situation such as geographical feature, the wind and the tide. In reported literature, the natural powdered oil absorbent which is made of peat moss is an effective mean to clean spilled oil from lake or coast. However, the peat moss is a natural resource which is only Produced from a specific cold weather are like Canada. This indicates that the alternative materials which is readily obtained from everywhere are needed for powdered oil absorbent. Therefore. in the study, same natural materials including pine leaves and straw are tested as the alternative materials for the absorbent. The raw materials were dried and treated by heat at various temperature during several Periods and then. shattered by a grain cracking machine. The oil sorption capacity of the prepared materials was compared according to the methods of heat treatment and their sizes. The proportion of hydrogen cyanide to combustion of the absorbents was measured to confirm their final disposal methods. The biodegradability test of the absorbents was carried our to evaluate possibility of a side pollution in the coast. In was found that the heat treatment of pine leaves enhanced the capacity of oil sorption and decreased the water sorption. The maximum oil sorption was observed for the material treated at 18$0^{\circ}C$for 60 min. The amount of hydrogen cyanide from the combustion were 0.09ml/g, 0.07ml/g for pine leaves and straw respectively meaning that the final disposal by combustion might be feasible. The amount or organic carbon extracted from pine leaves during 7 days was up to 0.015g organic carbon from one gram of pine leaves. but the degradation was as fast as for glucose. It is concluded that the pine leaves can be served as a good raw material for the powdered oil absorbent like peat moss.

청소년의 쏠림소비 영향요인 연구: 무리행동이론 관점에서 (Determinants of Adolescents' Consumption Disequilibrium: In the Perspective of Herding Behavior Theory)

  • 본 논문의 목적은 인터넷으로 연결된 시대에 청소년 소비자의 구매의사결정과정에서 무리행동에 따른 쏠림소비 현황을 파악하는 것이다. 이를 위하여 본 연구에서는 유행민감도, 상호작용, 부정확성이 어떻게 청소년의 쏠림소비에 영향을 미치는지와 더불어 쏠림소비와 소비행복 간의 관계를 조사할 수 있는 연구모형을 개발하였다. 본 연구를 위해 설문방법을 이용하였고, 분석을 위한 데이터는 142개의 데이터를 적용하였다. 그리고 자료의 분석은 구조방정식모형을 사용하였다. 실증분석결과는 첫째, 유행민감도와 상호작용이 쏠림소비에 직접적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 쏠림소비는 소비행복에 직접적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과는 청소년들의 소비행동에서 합리적인 선택을 설계할 때 무리행동의 중요성을 제시하였다는데 의의가 있다.

Computational intelligence models for predicting the frictional resistance of driven pile foundations in cold regions

  • Numerous studies have been performed on the behavior of pile foundations in cold regions. This study first attempted to employ artificial neural networks (ANN) to predict pile-bearing capacity focusing on pile data recorded primarily on cold regions. As the ANN technique has disadvantages such as finding global minima or slower convergence rates, this study in the second phase deals with the development of an ANN-based predictive model improved with an Elephant herding optimizer (EHO), Dragonfly Algorithm (DA), Genetic Algorithm (GA), and Evolution Strategy (ES) methods for predicting the piles' bearing capacity. The network inputs included the pile geometrical features, pile area (m2), pile length (m), internal friction angle along the pile body and pile tip (Ø°), and effective vertical stress. The MLP model pile's output was the ultimate bearing capacity. A sensitivity analysis was performed to determine the optimum parameters to select the best predictive model. A trial-and-error technique was also used to find the optimum network architecture and the number of hidden nodes. According to the results, there is a good consistency between the pile-bearing DA-MLP-predicted capacities and the measured bearing capacities. Based on the R2 and determination coefficient as 0.90364 and 0.8643 for testing and training datasets, respectively, it is suggested that the DA-MLP model can be effectively implemented with higher reliability, efficiency, and practicability to predict the bearing capacity of piles.

Effect of forest restoration treatment on Abies holophylla growth and soil condition: Focusing on the Daegwallyeong alpine pastures

  • This study aimed to determine a method for restoring grasslands to forests in mountainous areas. The study was conducted in an area damaged by trampling due to construction activity and herding. Additionally, there were concerns of hindered tree growth due to the alpine region climate, characterized by the low temperatures, drying, and strong winds. Therefore, forest restoration treatments such as tillage, furrow, and shading were performed to improve growth conditions. From July 2021 to April 2023, soil temperature and moisture were monitored for each treatment plot, and changes in the initial growth and survival rate of Abies holophylla were investigated. Both soil temperature and soil moisture showed significantly higher values during the four seasons in the grassland-furrow treatment plot (p < 0.05). Compared to the grassland-control plot, the average soil temperature in winter was as high as 1.1℃, and the soil moisture in summer was as high as 20.3%. Additionally, the survival rate and relative growth rate were the largest in the grassland-furrow treatment plot. The survival rate was 87.5%, the relative growth rate in terms of height was 0.013, and the relative growth rate in terms of diameter at root collar was 0.023, indicating that furrow treatment had a positive effect on the initial survival and growth of seedlings. These results suggest that furrow treatment may be an appropriate restoration method when implementing forest restoration projects in areas where tree growth is challenged.
