Various hemispherical reflection methods are evaluated for their suitability and robustness across display technologies.   • In this paper, the forming limits of laser welded blank sheets are introduced, obtained from a tensile test and a hemispherical dome punch test. Especially, the forming limit diagram(FLD) on the heat affected zone with a width 2.54mm is emphasized. Also, the experimental experiences in finding specific strain conditions are discussed.

  • PISA 방법은 주로 승모판에서 역류하는 혈류량을 측정하기 위해 사용되고 있다. 이 방법은 PISA isotach의 기하학적 모양에 대한 모델링에 관한 것이다. PISA의 일반적인 유동모델은 isotach의 표면이 수식적으로 반구이거나 비반구임을 가정하여 계산된 것이지만, 본 논문에서는 영역기반방법으로 isotach를 추정한 후, 타원체의 높이에 기초한 실제적인 표면분할 유동모델을 이용하여 유체량을 추정하였다. 제안한 밥법을 평가하기 위해, $30cm^3/sec-60\;cm^3/sec$의 실제 유량을 가지는 동적인 180개의 유동영상에 대해서 기존 방법들과 비교하였다. 실험한 결과, 반구 유동모델의 유체량 평균이 $29\;cm^3/sec$로 실제 유체량 평균보다 35%정도 적게 추정을 하였고, 제안한 방법의 평균은 $45\;cm^3/sec$으로 비반구 유동모델의 평균과 같았고, 유체량 변화파형도 유사한 결과를 가짐을 알 수 있었다.

An experimental study on the ballistic performance of FRP-steel plates completely penetrated by a hemispherical-nosed projectile

  • Experiments were carried out to investigate the ballistic performance of fiber reinforced plastic(FRP)-steel plates completely penetrated by hemispherical-nosed projectiles at sub-ordnance velocities greater than their ballistic limits. The FRP-steel plate consists of a front FRP laminate and a steel backing plate. Failure mechanisms and impact energy absorptions of FRP-steel plates were analyzed and compared with FRP laminates and single steel plates. The effects of relative thickness, manufacturing method and fabric type of front composite armors as well as the joining style between front composite armors and steel backing plates on the total perforation resistance of FRP-steel plates were explored. It is found that in the case of FRP-steel plates completely penetrated by hemispherical-nosed projectiles at low velocities, the failure modes of front composite armors are slightly changed while for steel backing plates, the dominate failure modes are greatly changed due to the influence of front composite armors. The relative thickness and fabric type of front composite armors as well as the joining style of FRP-steel plates have large effects whereas the manufacturing method of front composite armors has slight effect on the total perforation resistance of FRP-steel plates.

양극산화된 알루미늄과 마이크로 인덴데이션을 이용한 3차원 마이크로-나노 하이브리드 패턴 제작 (Development of 3D Micro-Nano Hybrid Patterns Using Anodized Aluminum and Micro-Indentation)

  • A simple method for the fabrication of 3D micro-nano hybrid patterns was presented. In conventional fabrication methods of the micro-nano hybrid patterns, micro-patterns were firstly fabricated and then nano-patterns were formatted on the micro-patterns. Moreover, these micro-nano hybrid patterns could be fabricated on the flat substrate. In this paper, we suggested the fabrication method of 3D micro-nano hybrid patterns using micro-indentation on the anodized aluminum substrate. Since diameter of the hemispherical nano-pattern can be controlled by electrolyte and applied voltage in the anodizing process, we can easily fabricated nano-patterns of diameter of loom to 300nm. Nano-patterns were firstly formatted on the aluminum substrate, and then micro-patterns were fabricated by deforming the nano-patterned aluminum substrate. Hemispherical nano-patterns of diameter of 150nm were fabricated by anodizing process, and then micro-pyramid patterns of the side-length of $50{\mu}m$ were formatted on the nano-patterns using micro-indentation. Finally we successfully replicated 3D micro-nano hybrid patterns by hot-embossing process. 3D micro-nano hybrid patterns can be applied to nano-photonic device and nano-biochip application.

반구형 접지모의시스템을 이용한 접지전극의 형상에 따른 대지전위상승의 분석 (The Analysis of Ground Potential Rise for Shapes of Grounding Electrode Using Hemispherical Grounding Simulation System)

  • In order to analyze ground potential rise of grounding system installed in buildings, the hemispherical grounding simulation system has been designed and fabricated as substantial and economical measures. Ground potential rise(GPR) has been measured and analyzed for shapes of grounding electrode using the system in real time. The system is apparatus to have a free reduced scale for conductor size and laying depth of a full scale grounding system and is constructed so that a shape of equipotential surface is nearly identified a free reduced scale with a real scale when a current flows through grounding electrode. The system was composed of a hemispherical water tank, AC Power supply, a movable potentiometer, and test grounding electrodes. The test grounding electrodes were fabricated through reducing grounding electrode installed in real buildings such as rod type, mesh grid type. When a mesh grid type was associated with a rod type, GPR was the lowest value. The proposed results would be applicable to evaluate GPR in the grounding systems. and the analytical data can be used 0 stabilize the electrical installations and prevent the electrical disasters.

  • 본 논문에서는 반구형 공진자이로에 대한 연구를 위해 NI FPGA 장비를 기반으로 한 실험 장치를 개발하였고 공진유도, 진폭제어 및 회전실험을 통해 실험 장치에 대한 적합성을 판별하고 시스템에 대한 파라미터를 추정하였다. 또한 공진기의 형상 불 균일로 인해 진동패턴이 표류하는 현상을 확인하고, 이를 정렬시킴으로써 구동모드중 하나인 FTR 모드 구현에 대한 선행연구를 수행하였다.

  • This article focuses on a hemispherical resonator gyro driven by the Coriolis effect. The operational principle of resonator gyros and mathematical models are introduced. These models are useful to explain the behavior of a resonator and to design controllers. Several control tests of a resonator have been done. A resonator has been excited by electromagnets controlled by a computer. Its amplitude has been adjusted by a PI control. The transient response is matched with a simulation result based on a mathematical model. A vibrating pattern may drift due to non-uniform factors of a resonator. The drift of the vibrating pattern is controlled and aligned to a reference direction by a PI control. These results are very useful to understand the behavior of resonator gyros and to design advanced control algorithm for better performance.

고강도콘크리트에 대한 기존 내충격 성능평가식의 비상체 선단형상계수 유효성 평가 실험 연구 (Experimental Study on Validation of Nose Shape Factors of Projectile in Existing Impact formulas for High-Strength Concrete)

  • This study was conducted in order to validate the nose shape factors of projectile in existing impact formulas for high-strength concrete in the event of collision with high-speed projectiles. In order to conduct the high-speed impact experiment, specified concrete strengths of 35, 100, and 120 MPa were prepared and tested in collision with both conical and hemispherical projectiles. The results showed that the measured penetration depth did not decrease linearly as concrete strength increased. Comparing the ratio penetration depth to the kinetic energy of the conical and hemispherical projectiles, the difference in the ratios for high strength concrete was observed to decline as concrete strength increased. However, in the modified NDRC and the Hughes formulas, the difference in the predicted penetration depth of the conical and hemispherical projectiles was constant despite increasing concrete strength. The modified NDRC and Hughes formulas should be improved upon so as to be applied to high strength concrete.
