Operation limits analysis of PW206C turboshaft engine in manual mode (PW206C 터보축 엔진의 수동운용범위 분석)

  • The power control system of Smart UAV is similar to the propeller pitch governing concept of turboprop aircraft. The pilot adjusts the engine power directly and the pitch governor controls the propeller pitch to maintain the propeller rotational speed. The electronic engine controller(EEC) of PW206C engine developed for helicopter is not fit for the power control concept of Smart UAV, and therefore the manual back-up system of PW206C engine is used for the engine power control of Smart UAV. Engine performance estimation program is used to predict the control range of power lever angle(PLA) according to the variation of engine output shaft speed, flight altitude and flight speed. These data provide a guide for the PLA control in manual mode operation.

  • A drone has been popularized to such an extent as to be seen in the near parks recently. The drone refers to an unmanned aerial vehicle(UVA) which can fly and be steered by a radio wave without a pilot and it has a airplane or helicopter shape. The drone was first started to be used from military purpose, but its usage has been expanded to the private such as broadcast shooting, crop-dusting, field discovery and hobby. However the drone that we can see often in the market is expansive, hard to be repaired when it broken down and has a discomfort of the short flight time. In this paper, to solve an uncomfortable talk on the cheap ATmega128 Using (Quad copter) drone for implementation. Effects of Meteorological Conditions and Self-instruction on Anxiety and Performance of Helicopter Pilots in Flight (기상 조건과 자기 교시가 조종 중인 헬리콥터 조종사의 불안 및 수행에 미치는 영향)

  • Anxiety is known to upset the balance of the attentional system and prioritize the stimulus-driven system over the goal-directed system; however, self-instruction induces goal-directed behavior with the self-regulation effect. This study verified the effects of meteorological and self-instruction conditions on pilot anxiety and flight task performance for in-service pilots in a virtual reality environment. The meteorological conditions were divided into visual meteorological and very low visibility conditions, and the flight tasks were conducted by varying whether or not self-instruction was performed. The experiment results reveal that anxiety and heart rate were higher, and the performance of the flight task was lower in the very low visibility condition. However, anxiety and heart rate were lower, and the performance of the flight task was higher in the self-instruction condition. This result suggests that accidents due to difficulty in flight may increase because of anxiety, but such accidents may decrease because of flight performance improvement by self-instruction.
