For succesful political advertisements the role of mutual communications between advertisers and their targets (i.e. voters) should be magnified, which must be based on the understanding of voter's life-style including the trends of daily life, their philosophy and attitude toward the contemporary matters. During the campaign period for the last parliamentry election the most important issue was nothing but who could be the best representer of their region without any political considerations compared to previous election and the decision made by voters has been evaluated as one of most brilliant ones so far. One thing to note from the last election is that many new faces have been high lighted and that could not have been possible if they could not differentiate their campaign from one of unchanged senior politicians by calling more attentions of voters to them by scrutinizing competitors' election pledges. The differentiation strategy in election campaigns is basically detecting small signs of changes in voters life\ulcornerstyle, bringing them into relief and provoking voters attentions to the election and advertiser. In this sense niche marketing strategy is the differentiating strategy itself and it can be a useful guide in political advertisement for the triumph of advertiser in elections as well as for heathy and fresh political environments on the basis increased attentions of voters. In this paper, aiming at further development of the niche marketing in political advertisements we propose questions whether the niche marketing in the last parliamentary election was introduced on the basis of concept of differentation by analysing last election's strategies targeted at voters specific dispositions.

To determine the frequencies of the genotypes of estrogen metabolising enzyme (CYP17, CYP1A1, CYP1B1, and COMT) and to identify the high-risk genotypes of these metabolic enzymes to breast cancer in Korean, the author has analysed 115 breast cancer patients and corresponding age and sex matched heathy controls using polymerase chain reaction-restiction fragment length polymorphism (PCR-RFLP). A2/A2 genotype in CYP17 polymorphism, m2/m2 genotype in CYP1A1 polymorphism, and Val/Val genotype in CYP1B1 had 0.95, 1.40 and 0.76 relive risks to breast cancer comparing with reference genotypes of each polymorphism, respectively. Among the genotypes of COMT enzyme polymorphism, L/H and L/L genotypes had 0.97 and 1.54 relative risks to breast cancer, respectively. According to the number of high risk genotype, the patients with one or two putative high risk genotypes had 0.95 and 1.94 relative risks to breast cancer, respectively. This study have demonstrated the unique frequency of genotypes of estrogen metabolizing enzyme in Korean healthy women, which will provide the basic data and insights to study the estrogen related conditions in Korean women including breast and endometrial cancers. And it also indicates that the well-known high risk genotypes of estrogen metabolizing enzymes are not significantly associated with the development of breast cancer in Korean women.

1998년 강원도 태백시에서 음나무에서 미지의 병을 발견하였다. 이 병은 잎에는 암녹색내지는 갈색의 병반을 나타냈으며, 줄기의 마름 병징을 나타냈다. 과습한 조건에서 병반에서는 많은 포자가 형성되었으며, 병반에서 Botrytis속의 곰팡이가 계속 분리되었다. 병원균의 분생포자는 무색 또는 옅은 갈색의 단세포로 난형 및 타원형이었고 크기는 6-12$\times$4-8$\mu\textrm{m}$이었으며, 주사전자현미경으로 분생포자의 표면을 관찰한 결과 봉상 돌기구조를 확인하였다. 분리된 병원균을 건전한 음나무에 접종한 결과 감염을 일으켰으며, 병징도 처음 병징과 유사하였다. 이 병원균을 B. cinerea로 동정하였고, 음나무 잿빛곰팡이병으로 명명할 것을 제안한다.

1999년 강원도 강릉시에서 시클라멘에서 미지의병을 발견하였다. 이 병은 꽃임과 잎에 암녹색내지는 갈색의 병반을 나타냈다. 과습한 조건에서 병반에서는 많은 포자가 형성되었으며, 병반에서 Botrytis 속의 곰팡이가 계속 분리되었다. 병원균의 분생포자는 무색 또는 옅은 갈색의 단세포로 난형 및 타원형이었고 크기는 9.0-16.0$\times$6.0-10.4$\mu\textrm{m}$(평균, 12.7$\times$7.8$\mu\textrm{m}$) 이었으며, 주사전자현미경으로 분생포자의 표면을 관찰한 결과 봉상 돌기구조를 확인하였다. 분리된 병원균을 건전한 시클라멘에 접종한 결과 감염을 일으켰으며, 병징도 처음 병징과 유사하였다. 이 병원균을 B. cinearea로 동정하였고, 시클라멘 잿빛곰팡이병으로 명명할 것을 제안한다.

The purpose of this study was to investigate relationship between the eating behavior, physical and mental health. For this purpose, the data was collected by using questionnaires and intervews distibuted to 293 the elderly residing in Seoul. This study was designed to observe the eating behavior(eating habit, healthy food preference, smoking, drinking), physical health(weight, height, desease and heath of the current and past, self-awareness of the health) and mental health(weight, height, desease and heath of the current and the past, self-awareness of the health) and mental health(meeting, excursion, exercise, service, activi ty, depression). The major results are: 1. The heathy elderly had the better eating habit and the non healthy tried to stop smoking and drinking for their own health. 2. There were many elderly with neuralgia and arthralgia, especially women were worse. The sleep disorder related to many disease. When physical health was bad, so was mental health. 3. More than 50 percentage of subjects had light depression, especially women and the elderly at 60-75age were more serious. The depressive elderly had no meetings, excursion, exercise, service activity and showed a hight tendency for under-weight or obesity. In conclusion, the relationship between the eating behavior and physical and mental health wa very significant, so it was necessary to provide comfortable living condition to the elderly.

Stellate ganglion block is a selective sympathetic blockade affecting the head and neck, and the upper extemity. It is an important method which has been used most frequently in neuro-pain clinic due to its wide range of indications. The authors attermpted to define the minimal volume of local anesthetic which need for successful stellate ganglion block by using 1% mepivacaine HCl mixed with dye. In 40 heathy volunteers, two different volumes, 3 ml in the group 1 (n=20) and 4 ml in the group 2 (n=20), were injected by an anterior paratracheal technique at the sixth cervical vertebral level. We compared the degree in sympathetic blockade by clinical sings and symptoms and also checked the spread range of dye by plain X-ray. With seven criteria for an effective block. mean score was 5.7 in group 2, while 3.4 in group 1. These results suggest that 4 ml of local anesthetic are adequate for a successful stellate ganglion block.

A new gait detection system using both FSR (force sensing resistor) sensors and a gyrosensor was developed to detect various gait patterns. FSR sensors were put in self-designed shoe insoles and a gyrosensor was attached to the heel of a shoe. An algorithm was also developed to determine eight different gait transitions during four gait phases: heel-strike, foot-flat, heel-off and swing. The developed system was evaluated from nine heathy mans and twelve hemiplegic patients. Healthy volunteers were asked to walk in various gait patterns: level walking, fore-foot walking and stair walking. Only the level walking was performed in hemiplegic patients. The gait detection system was compared with a optical motion analysis system and the outputs of the FSR sensors. In healthy subjects, the developed system detected successfully more than $99\%$ for both level walking and fore-foot walking. For stair walking, the successful detection rate of the system was above$97\%$. In hemiplegic patients, the developed system detected approximately 98% of gait transitions. The developed gait phase detection system will be helpful not only to determine pathological gait phases but also to apply prosthetics, orthotics and functional electrical stimulation for patients with various gait disorders.

Recently, as people are interested in the quality of life and well-being trend, the consumer's demand on a healthy residence is rapidly increasing. To offer heathy residential environment to consumers, it is necessary to investigate the quality of design regardings health. The purposes of this study are to arrange the elements of interior design for the healthy apartment and to present the essential points of design to make a proposal for the newly built healthy apartment. It is believed that the accumulated data will be the basic information to develop more healthy apartment in the future. Questionnaire was delivered and analyzed. Also, checklist were checked by visiting model house. Through the comparison and analysis between consumer's demand and the condition of the model house, this research suggests what the healthy apartment should be replenish. The result of this study are as following. In spite of the demand of improvement on sanitation, health diagnosis program, thermal comfort, sound comfort were high but the evaluation of the present apartments shows not that high. Consumer's demands like above are reflected on latest apartments but those are not reached enough to the consumer's demand.
