돌출높이와 초기온도 변화에 따른 연소실 벽면에서의 열유속에 관한 연구 (A Study of Heat Flux According to the Initial Temperature of Combustion Chamber and Blight of Probe in a Constant Volume Combustion Chamber)

  • As for the Production of internal combustion engines there has been further movement toward development of high Performance engines with improved fuel efficiency as well as a lightweight and a small size. These tendencies help to solve the problems in engines for example, such as thermal load. abnormal combustion and so on. In order to investigate these Problems, a thin film-type probe for measuring instantaneous temperature has been suggested. A method for manufacturing such a probe was established in this study The instantaneous surface temperature of a constant volume combustion chamber was measured by using this probe and the heat flux was obtained through Fourier analysis In order to thoroughly understand the characteristics of combustion. authors measured wall temperature of combustion chamber and calculated heat flux through a cylinder wall while varying the protrusion height of probe. For these Purposes, the instantaneous surface temperature probe was developed. thereby making possible the analysis of instantaneous temperature of wall surface and the detection of unsteady heat flux in the constant volume combustion chamber.

소형 연소기 냉각 유로 개념 설계 (Conceptual Design of Coolant Channel for Sub-scale Combustion Chamber)

  • 소형 연소기의 냉각 유로 설계를 위하여 열전달 및 냉각 유로의 구조해석을 수행하였다. 연소기의 고온가스에서의 열전달에 관한 2차원 해석을 수행하여 연소실 벽으로의 열유속을 예측한 다음 이를 3차원 해석을 위한 열경계 조건으로 적용하였다. 위 방법으로 예측한 열 유속은 기존의 경험식과 비교하여 검증하였으며 냉각수의 유량에 둔감한 것으로 판명되어 냉각 조건이 변화하더라도 동일한 열경계 조건을 사용할 수 있었다. 단일 냉각 유로에 대한 3차원 해석을 수행하여 연소실 벽의 최대온도 변화를 예측하였으며 이는 재사용 연소기 개발에 적용될 것이다. 냉각 유로의 정적 구조 해석을 통해 응력 분포와 구조 안전성을 예측하였다.

디스크 브레이크의 구조 및 열 해석 (Structural and Thermal Analysis of Disk Brake)

  • Continuous contraction and expansion of disk brake can be due to friction and temperature difference at repeated sudden braking. As serious vibration at disk is produced, the braking force will be changed ununiformly and braking system can not be stabilized. Temperature and heat flux at disk brake are investigated by structural and thermal analysis in this study. The maximum equivalent stress and displacement are shown respectively at the ventilated hole and the lower part of disk plate. At thermal analysis of initial state, temperature on disk plate is distributed from $95.9^{\circ}C$ to $100^{\circ}C$. The maximum heat flux of $0.0168W/mm^2$ is shown at the inner friction part between disk plate and pad. At thermal analysis of transient state, temperature on disk plate is distributed from $95^{\circ}C$ to $96.5^{\circ}C$ after 100 second. The maximum heat flux of $0.0024W/mm^2$ is also shown at the inner friction part between disk plate and pad. By comparing with initial state, the temperature on disk plate is more uniformly distributed and heat flux is more decreased by 7 times at transient state.

니켈기 자융성 합금 코팅층의 미세구조 및 마모거동에 미치는 후열처리 조건의 영향 (Effect of Heat Treatment Conditions on the Microstructure and Wear Behavior of Ni-based Self-flux Alloy Coatings)

  • This study aims at investigating the effect of heat treatment conditions on the dry sliding wear behavior of thermally sprayed Ni-based self-flux alloy coatings. Ni-based self-flux alloy powders were sprayed onto a carbon steel substrate and then heat-treated at 700, 800, 900 and $1000^{\circ}C$ for 30 minutes in a vacuum furnace. Dry sliding wear tests were performed using sliding speed of 0.4 m/s and applied load of 6 N. AISI 52100 ball(diameter 8 mm) was used as counterparts. Microstructure and wear behavior of both as-sprayed and heat-treated Ni-based self-flux alloy coatings were studied using a scanning electron microscope(SEM), energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy(EDX), electron probe micro-analysis(EPMA) and X-ray diffraction(XRD). It was revealed that microstructure and wear behavior of thermally sprayed Ni-based self-flux alloy coatings were much influenced by heat treatment conditions.

High heat flux limits of the fusion reactor water-cooled first wall

  • The water-cooled WCLL blanket is one of the possible candidates for the blanket of the fusion power reactors. The plasma-facing first wall manufactured from the reduced-activation ferritic-martensitic steel Eurofer97 will be cooled with water at a typical pressurized water reactor (PWR) conditions. According to new estimates, the first wall will be exposed to peak heat fluxes up to $7MW/m^2$ while the maximum operated temperature of Eurofer97 is set to $550^{\circ}C$. The performed analysis shows the capability of the designed flat first wall concept to remove heat flux without exceeding the maximum Eurofer97 operating temperature only up to $0.75MW/m^2$. Several heat transfer enhancement methods (turbulator promoters), structural modifications, and variations of parameters were analysed. The effects of particular modifications on the wall temperature were evaluated using thermo-hydraulic three-dimensional numerical simulation. The analysis shows the negligible effect of the turbulators. By the combination of the proposed modifications, the permitted heat flux was increased up to $1.69MW/m^2$ only. The results indicate the necessity of the re-evaluation of the existing first wall concepts.

고해상도 수치예보모델을 위한 수도권지역의 상세한 도시특성정보 구축 및 사례 분석 (Construction and Case Analysis of Detailed Urban Characteristic Information on Seoul Metropolitan Area for High-Resolution Numerical Weather Prediction Model)

  • In this study, the high-resolution numerical simulations considering detailed anthropogenic heat, albedo, emission and roughness length are analyzed by using single layer Urban Canopy Model (UCM) in Weather Research Forecast (WRF). For this, improved urban parameter data for Seoul Metropolitan Area (SMA) was collected from global data. And then the parameters were applied to WRF-UCM model after it was processed into 2-dimensional topographical data. The 6 experiments were simulated by using the model with each parameter and verified against observation from Automated Weather Station (AWS) and flux tower for the temperature and sensible heat flux. The data for sensible heat flux of flux towers on Jungnang and Bucheon, the temperature of AWS on Jungnang, Gangnam, Bucheon and Neonggok were used as verification data. In the case of summer, the improvement of simulation by using detailed anthropogenic heat was higher than the other experiments in sensible flux simulation. The results of winter case show improved in all simulations using each advanced parameters in temperature and sensible heat flux simulation. Improvement of urban parameters in this study are possible to reflect the heat characteristics of urban area. Especially, detailed application of anthropogenic heat contributed to the enhancement of predicted value for sensible heat flux and temperature.

고체 열원이 존재하는 공동 내의 복합열전달 문제의 유한요소해석 (A Finite Element Analysis of Conjugate Heat Transfer Inside a Cavity with a Heat Generating Conducting Body)

  • In the present study, a finite element analysis of conjugate heat transfer problem inside a cavity with a heat-generating conducting body, where constant heat flux is generated, is conducted. A conduction heat transfer problem inside the solid body is automatically coupled with natural convection inside the cavity by using a finite element formulation. A finite element formulation based on SIMPLE type algorithm is adopted for the solution of the incompressible Navier-Stokes equations coupled with energy equation. The proposed algorithm is verified by solving the benchmark problem of conjugate heat transfer inside a cavity having a centered body. Then a conjugate natural heat transfer problem inside a cavity having a heat-generating conducting body with constant heat flux is solved and the effect of the Rayleigh number on the heat transfer characteristics inside a cavity is investigated.

남극 세종기지에서의 지표 플럭스 관측: I. 난류 특성과 현열 플럭스 (Surface Flux Measurements at King Sejong Station in West Antarctica: I. Turbulent Characteristics and Sensible Beat Flux)

  • The Antarctic Peninsula is important in terms of global warming research due to pronounced increase of air temperature over the last century. The first eddy covariance system was established at King Sejong Station located in the northern region of the Antarctic Peninsula in December of 2002 and has been operated over one year. Here, we analyze turbulent characteristics to determine quality control criteria for turbulent sensible heat flux data as well as to diagnose the possibility of long term eddy covariance measurement under extreme weather conditions of the Antarctic Peninsula. We also report the preliminary result on sensible heat flux. Based on the analyses on turbulent characteristics such as integral turbulence characteristics of vertical velocity (w) and heat (T), stationarity test and investigation of correlation coefficient, they fallow the Monin-Obukhov similarity and eddy covariance flux data were reliable. ${\sim}47%$ of total retrieved sensible heat flux data could be used for further analysis. Daytime averaged sensible heat flux showed a pronounced seasonal variation, with a maximum of up to $300Wm^{-2}$ in summer. In conclusion, continuous and long-term eddy covariance measurement may be possible at the study site and the land surface may influence the atmosphere significantly through heat transport in summer.
