  • To increase heart disease by smoking, diabetes, obesity, stress, etc. is caused by death rate so heart disease has proposed early diagnosis necessity in modem society. Especially, incidence is on the increase rapidly because of ignorance and indifference of people about heart disease. Therefore to solve a social phenomenon about heart disease, this paper would like to design objective output parameter necessary early diagnosis of heart disease based on diagnosis theory about heart condition in the proposed Donguibogam. Specially to prove inaccurate pronunciation by heart disease would like to perform comparison, analysis of experimental group to extract vibration change rate of the vocal cords. This paper is comprised of heart disease patient and healthy people group in adult man speak to standard language then I'd like to propose early diagnosis about heart disease through comparison, analysis of vibration change rate of the vocal cords by acquisition of these voice.

  • Recent advances in the surgical treatment of congenital disorders of the heart have necessitated an accurate preoperative diagnosis. Right heart catheterization has become widely accepted as a research tool and diagnostic test to detect the heart diseases, especially in the congenital heart anomalies. Right heart catheterizations were carried out in 50 cases of congenital heart diseases at Department of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery, , Kyungpook National University Hospital, during the period of June, 1975 through September 1978. In age distribution, 27cases were below 10 years of age, 18 cases between 11 and 20, and 5 cases above 20 male to female ratio was 2.8:1. The distribution of congenital heart diseases was VSD [42%], TOF [36%], PDA [10%], ASD [8%], and PS[4%]. Of these, 44 cases [88%], were compatible with the clinical impressions that were made preliminarily before cardiac catheterization, and all the cases except 1 case of VSD was correlated well with the postoperative diagnosis. The right heart catheterization is considered to be reliable and accurate toll in the preoperative diagnosis of congenital heart diseases. These procedures caused complications such as left side hemiplegia [lcase], occlusion of the femoral artery [lcase], and transient ventricular tachycardia [1case], and so the complication rate of right heart catheterization was 6% [3 cases]. None of patients who have undergone right heart catheterization was died.

  • The objective is to establish the standard of criteria for differential diagnosis of signs and symptoms. This study selected signs and symptoms related to heart which stands for Fire(火) as a kind of five phase(五行). Eleven experts was asked to evaluate the adequateness of criteria which was developed by Korea Institute of Oriental Medicine(KIOM) and to suggest the amendment of them. To implement the study, we used the questionnaire which asks about the diagnosis criteria for an insufficiency of the heart-qi(心氣虛證), deficiency of the heart blood(心血氣證), deficiency of the heart-yin(心陰虛證), insufficiency of the heart-yang(心陽虛證), exuberant fire due to hyperactivity of the heart(心火亢盛證), stagnation of the heart blood(心血瘀阻證), heart disturbed by phlegm-fire(痰火擾心證), attack of the heart by retainedfluid(水氣凌心證). Every criteria consists of primary symptoms, secondary symptoms, tongue findings. and pulse findings. In perspectives of the classification of patterns for signs and symptoms and criteria for diagnosis, the result shows that the previous standard doesn't have so many problem. So many of experts were agree with the criteria which was suggested but the trend is that they use, in their actual practice, less than the criteria. Additionally, they pointed that every element in a criterion should have the different weight value, criteria for the overlapped pattern should be added, and, in future, criteria which are based on clinical investigation should be established.

  • People health improvement is becoming new subject through the combining with the oriental medicine diagnosis theory and IT technology. To do this, firstly, it needs sicked data that supply the visualization, objectification and quantification method. Especially, if an ocular inspection can be more objective and visual expression in oriental medicine, it seems to offer the biggest opportunity in diagnosis field. In this study, I propose a diagnosis to check the symptoms of heart diagnosis. Our research aim is on the visualization of diagnosis using image processing system which it can be actual analysis about the symptom of heart. To catch up this study, through the color support assistance by face image processing, I devide the face area and analyze the face form and also extract face characteristic point in heart disease diagnosis using oriental medicine based on an ocular inspection method. I would like to prove the usefulness of the method that proposed by an experiment.

  • Electrocardiogram(ECG) being the recording of the heart's electrical activity provides valuable clinical information about heart's status. Many researches have been pursued for heart disease diagnosis using ECG so far. However, electrocardio-graph uses foreign diagnosis algorithm in the con due to inaccuracy of domestic diagnosis results for a heart disease. This paper proposes ST-segment extraction technique diagnosing heart disease parameter from raw ECG data. As the ST-segment is used for prediction of Coronary Artery Disease, we can predict heart disease using classification approach in data mining technique. We can also predict patient's clinical characterization from patient clinical data.

  • The objective of tills study is to identify the difference of somatic characteristics between Hwa-Byung and Major Depression by comparing the pattern identification of Hwa-Byung group and Hwa-Byung with Major Depression group(double diagnosis) Method: According to Hwa-Byung Diagnostic Interview Schedule(HBDIS) and SCID, 17 patients as diagnosed Hwa-Byung and 20 patients as diagnosed Hwa-Byung with Major Depression group(double diagnosis) were recruited. and by depression scale like Hamilton Rating Scale for Depression(HRDS) & Montgomery-Asberg Depression Rating Scale(MADRS), we excluded patients complaining moderate & severe depression among Hwa-Byung group and excluded patients showing mild depression among Hwa-Byung with Major Depression group. After this evaluation, we analysed and compared the pattern identification of both groups by OMS-prime. Result: 1. There were no significant differences of demographic data between both groups. 2. In the result of 'analysis on pattern identification' for all participant used by OMS-prime, most frequent pattern was deficiency of Yin and Yang of the heart(49%). 3. In the result of 'analysis on most correlated pattern identification' used by OMS-prime, for Hwa-Byung group was deficiency of Yin and Yang of the heart(45%) and the next were disharmony of the liver and spleen (20%), generation of phlegm due to stagnation of Gallbladder(15%) deficiency of Qi and Yin of the heart(l0%), And for Hwa-Byung with Major Depression group(double diagnosis) was deficiency of Yin and Yang of the heart(53%), the next were generation of phlegm due to stagnation of Gallbladder(18%), and deficiency of Qi and blood of the heart(l2%), 4. In the result of 'analysis on significant pattern identification' used by OMS-prime, for Hwa-Byung group was deficiency of Yin and Yang of the heart(20%) and the next were disharmony of the liver and spleen(15%), generation of phiegm due to stagnation of Gallbladder(15%), deficiency of Qi and Yin of the heart(14%), And for Hwa-Byung plus Major Depression group(double diagnosis) was deficiency of Yin and Yang of the heart(18%), the next were deficiency of Qi and Yin of the heart(18%), deficiency of Qi and blood of the heart(l0%), generation of phiegm due to stagnation of Gallbladder(18%), Conclusion: Hwabyung is syndrome that have many different symptoms, but there is no difference between Hwa-Byung group and Hwa-Byung with Major Depression group(double diagnosis) on the side of symptoms. Therefore, Hwabyung could be a new model for research on depression in Korean.

  • Heart sounds generated by the beating heart and blood flow reflect the turbulence created when the heart valves snap shut. Cardiac diagnosis is typically started by an auscultation using a stethoscope, from which a medical doctor, depending on his hearing capabilities and training, listens and interprets the acoustic signal. This method of diagnostic is uncertain, mostly due to the fact that human ear loses the acoustic frequency sensitivity through the years. Even though an auscultation has some weaknesses like uncertainty, it is considered as a primary tool due to its simplicity. In this paper, heart murmur detection algorithm is proposed using time and frequency characteristics of heart sound. The propose heart murmur detection method adapted conventional primary heart sound detection method in time domain and modified spectral flatness method in frequency domain for detecting heart murmurs. From experimental results, it is confirmed that the proposed algorithm detect the heart murmurs efficiently.

  • Dextrocardia means right-sided position of the heart in the chest irrespective of the cause. For the absolute diagnosis of the dextrocardia, the segmental analysis of heart is necessary. Once the segmental analysis of the dextrocardia is made, it is often relatively easy to identify the presence of any associated defects based on conventional methods including physical examination, EKG, echocardiography, and angiocardiography. Two cases of dextrocardia with congenital heart disease were treated surgically.A eleven - months old boy was operated under diagnosis of ASD, VSD, and bilateral SVC with mirror - image dextrocardia {I,L,I} by primary closure of ASD and VSD.A twenty-four months old girl was operated under diagnosis of ASD, VSD, and PS with corrected TGA {I,D,D} by primary closure of ASD, VSD and dilatation of pulmonary stenosis. Both of them were discharged healthily after operation.
