The purpose of this study is to analyze effects of medical service quality on the customer satisfaction and intention of revisit in long-term care hospitals. To achieve purpose of the research, the data was collected from 321 patients in 8 long-term care hospitals using a standardized questionnaires. Using the structural equation modeling(SEM), this study examines the relationship among medical service quality, customer satisfaction and intention of revisit. The results show that the medical service quality factors such as convenience and accessibility have positive effects on the customer satisfaction which positively relates to intention of revisit. Medical expertise of the service quality factors has positive influence upon intention of revisit in long-term care hospitals. Therefore, the results of this study show that the medical service quality factors which are convenience and accessibility leading to customer satisfaction are important factors to select long-term care hospitals.
Purpose: The purpose of this research is to develop and classify district visiting nursing standards and to standardize visiting nursing service pathways. Method: This research was conducted as a focus group study and analyzed visiting nursing records. We surveyed 201 recipients at urban health centers, who were selected through convenient sampling, from April 2003 to November 2003. Result: First, visiting nursing service recipients were classified into four groups according to household and financial characteristics, existence of disease, ability of self-care, and existence of home care service needs. Standardized pathways of the selected items were assessment. nursing care plan, disease management and promotion of self-care ability for Level I (mean=12.2 visits). For Level II (7.3 visits) were offered assessment. disease management. health education. and health promotion services. For Level III (5.2 visits) were offered assessment. disease management. health education and health promotion services, and for Level IV (2.7 visits) were offered thorough assessment, education for self-care and health promotion. Conclusion: The visiting nursing service pathways identified in this research need to be developed further as basic materials applicable to quality assurance and agency evaluation. For this, we suggest repeated research and test to apply the derived standardized visiting nursing services pathways in visiting nursing programs.
In this study, services for promoting health were provided to kindergarten children. As u-Health services for children, services centered of positioning of children are provided. However, since problems related with obesity and mental health are increasing day by day due to westernized eating habits, the necessity of physical and mental health care for children is on the rise. Considering this state, in this study, experiments of u-Health services under the concept of wellness were conducted on kindergarten children. For physical health, the children's obesity was controlled and for mental health, services of diagnosing hyperactivity disorder which is a sub symptom of ADHD were provided. Based on the results, it could be identified that parents' satisfaction and children's health conditions were improved.
Objectives: The purpose of this study is to obtain the basic data for the development of maternal health care by analyzing the status and needs of service target persons in Timor-Leste. Methods: The subjects were selected through the non-probability sampling method applying the FGI. Researchers interviewed 3 maternal health service managers, 6 midwives at Gleno and Railaco Health Centers and 2 women between 15 and 45 years of age. Results: In the results of on-site visit of the delivery facility and the FGI, we found poor sanitation in delivery room, lack of medical equipment related to antenatal consultation and delivery. In the case of the health center manager, the public health center provides various maternity health services, but the lack of the staff has difficulty in providing the service and managing the subjects. Midwives asked for regular maintenance education. Women in child bearing age living in mountainous areas had poor access to delivery facilities and lack of awareness of delivery services. Conclusions: It is necessary to increase the maternity management rate through regular maternity and maternal health check service and application to maternal management database, to improve the sanitation of the maternity clinic in the public health center, to strengthen the midwife competency program.
Objectives: This study aims to develop a community care model in traditional Korean medicine (TKM) by developing a community care participation model for the health of the elderly and deriving tasks to implement it. Methods: This study implemented a group interview with experts. A fact-finding survey was conducted targeting 16 local governments that are implementing a leading project to identify the status of TKM service provision and welfare service linkage in all regions. An expert group interview (FGI) targeted public and private sector experts for each job role, the former represented by those in charge of the central government's health care policy and administrative delivery system, and the latter by professors majoring in social welfare, professors majoring in health, and local TKM societies. After forming the expert groups, three expert group interviews were conducted. Results: Through collective interviews with experts, a model for providing TKM and welfare services in community integrated care was derived by dividing it into local and central government levels. The strategies and tasks for promoting TKM-oriented health welfare services were derived from 3 strategies, 8 tasks, and 20 detailed tasks. Conclusion: The core direction of the TKM health care model is the region-centered provision of TKM and welfare services. To this end, policy support for the use and linkage of health care service resources is required at the central government level, and linkage and provision of health welfare services centered on TKM are necessary through linkage and convergence between service subjects and between government health care projects.
Objectives: The purpose of this study was to identify the intrinsic strengths and weaknesses, as well as opportunities for success and threats of Korean health care industry when planning strategies to enter Chinese health care market. Methods: To suggest directions for planning the strategies, a SWOT(Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) analysis was used in combination with an AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) in this study. A total of twenty SWOT factors and the relative weight of SWOT groups were examined through a survey on the respondents who have work experiences in the area of entering Chinese market. Results: "Geographical proximity between Korea and China" was recognized as a key strength. "Absence of success case in medical service industry" was selected as a critical weakness. "Increase in demand for advanced medical services in China" was identified as an important opportunity. "Difficulty in establishing Korea-China partnership" was considered as a major threat. The respondents prioritized weaknesses, followed by threats, opportunities, and strengths when conducting strategic planning to enter Chinese health care market. Conclusions: Improving local hospital management plan as well as specializing in certain health care services may be necessary.

Occupational health services in Korea have been operated as dual types: one is operated by occupational health care manager and the other is health care agency without their own personnel. The performance of occupational health service should be different due to the variety of characteristics of health care manager and workplace, qualification of health care manager. This study is to analyze performance of occupational health care services with a particular consideration of job, based on comparing those two types of health care management to show on the basic data for the settlement of more qualitative. health care management system at workplace. For this study, total 391 places in Seoul and Inchon city area: 154 places (39.4%) managed by designated. health care manager and 237 places (60.6%) by the agency with their commission are selected as research samples. Tools for data collection are questionnares have been investigated during the period of 20 September 1993-20 December 1993. Those data are compared with percentiles, mean, standard deviation due to the characterstics of each variable and analyzed for impacting factors with relation to the using multiple regression analysis using SPSS PC program, especially using t -test method in order to compare each type of health care management. Conclusions observed from the tests and each comparison could be summerized as follows : 1. This policy alternatives for establishment of rehabilitation health care delivery system for the disabled in the community were developed based on the data of current health status and situations of health care management for disabled persons in Korea. This research was conducted with secondary data analysis for identifying health status and current situations of managing health of disabled persons, and discussed current issues for establishing rehabilitation health care delivery systems in the community. Observing the health status and current situations of managing health of disabled persons, scope and target population of disabled person extended. so prevalence rates increased. and the severity of disability intensified and specified. The summary of issues of health management for disabled persons included; 1) absence of comprehensive and systematic policy in rehabilitation health care systems. 2) absence of consumer based rehabilitation health care facilities and delivery systems that are considered as the characteristics of disabled persons 3) fixed form of projects based on the provider and lack of variety in the programs. Hereafter. to overcome these problems. policy alternatives should 1) establish a comprehensive rehabilitation health care policy for disabled persons. 2) establish comprehensive and specific community based rehabilitation health care delivery systems that can promote preventing disability. providing medical care for disabled persons, establishing rehabilitation management for disabled persons and health care when returning to society. 3) provide training and secure manpower for rehabilitation, but the training case managers who will take the roles as an expert rehabilitation nurse mediators for multidisciplinary team work are needed immediately. and 4) include efficient connection and provision of independent services for welfare rehabilitation service and health care. Conclusively. a community based rehabilitation health care delivery system should be comprehensive policy vision of the government on rehabilitation health care delivery System rehabilitation service has to be constructed systematically under suitable facilities con consumer characteristics and rehabilitation health care policy. Purpose: This study aims to examine the quality of tuberculosis (TB) care after the 1st to 3rd national quality assessment (QA) program for TB healthcare service in Korea was conducted. Methods: We analyzed Health Insurance Review & Assessment Service (HIRA) claims data of new TB patients during the period of January to June from 2018-2020. The new TB patients were defined as TB patients reported to Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Agency (KCDA). The unit of analysis was the patient. Chi-square tests were used to analyze the differences in indicator value according to the types of medical facilities. The QA indicators of TB care were divided into 3 areas consisting of the following 7 quality indicators: 4 indicators of diagnosis test (the rate of acid-fast bacilli smear, the rate of acid-fast bacilli culture, the rate of Mycobacterium tuberculosis-polymerase chain reaction, drug susceptibility test), 1 compliance of treatment guideline, and 2 indicators of care management of TB patients (encounter rate, day of therapy). Results: The QA program for TB care was conducted among 8,246 patients from 534 facilities in 2020. The value of the 7 quality indicators was shown to increase as a result of the QA program. The indicators of the diagnostic test were all higher than 95%, with the exception of the drug susceptibility test which was 84.8%. Both indicators for care management of TB patients were 88.5%. Conclusion: The quality of TB care has been improving with the implementation of the QA program. In order to continue to improve the quality of TB care, it will be necessary to disclose the results of the QA program in medical facilities in the future.
