Effects of harvesting times on pasting properties of starch in colored rices

  • The study was conducted to investigate the effects of different harvesting time on pasting properties of starch in three colored rices. Seven major parameters of starch pasting properties, peak viscosity (PKV), hot pasting viscosity (HPV), cool pasting viscosity (CPV), setback (CPV minus PKV), breakdown (PKV minus HPV), peak time, and pasting time were determined by Rapid Visco Analyzer. The peak viscosity, hot viscosity, cool viscosity and peak time were influenced by different harvesting times. Pasting time was delayed slightly with prolonged harvesting time in all rice cultivars. Pasting temperature in each rice cultivar differed from each harvesting time, and pasting temperature of the two rice cultivars, Hongjinju and Joseongheugchal, showed the highest at the 40 days after heading and then it decreased at the final harvesting time. With the delay of the harvesting time, peak viscosity, hot viscosity, cool viscosity, setback value and pasting temperature did not exhibit a regular trend depending on their genetic characteristics. Branch chain length distribution of amylopectin was demonstrated a distinct difference among these colored rices. In changes of amylopectin branch chain-length distribution, the amylopectin structure of Hongjinju rice cultivar as affected by different harvesting time, the shortest chain length of amylopectin in rice starch harvested at 20 days after heading was characterized by the significant increase in A chains with $DP{\geq}12$ and remarked decrease in long chains $37{\leq}DP$ compared to that of 30, 40, and 50 days after heading. In particular, when harvesting time is delayed the distribution percentage of short chain (A chains with $DP{\geq}12$) was increased except for the rice which harvested 20 days after heading. The similar results were also observed in Sintoheugmi rice cultivar like that of Hongjinju rice cultivar. Otherwise, distribution percentage of the shortest chain length of amylopectin in rice starch harvested at 20 days after heading was characterized by the significant decrease in A chains with $DP{\geq}12$ and remarked increase in B chains $13{\leq}DP{\geq}24$ compared to that of 30, 40, and 50 days after heading.

Feed Value of Whole-Crop Silage Rice by Cultivars and Plant Parts at Different Transplanting and Harvest Dates

  • This study was carried out to find out the changes in the growth characteristics and feed value of the three different whole-crop silage rice cultivars of whole-crop silage rice such as Jonong, Yeongwoo and Mogwoo to develop an efficient double cropping system. This study showed that there were significant differences biomass and feed values among cultivars but no clear difference among transplanting dates. Dry weight and height were in order of Mogwoo, Yeongwoo, Jonong (p<0.05). Dry weight and feed value of Jonong showed no significant difference after 21 days after heading (DAH), it was expected to be harvested before DAH 30 days. Yeongwoo showed a lower dry weight than Mogwoo, but heading date was earlier than Mogwoo, so one can expect a higher feed value than Mogwoo. Mogwoo had lower crude protein and total digestible nutrient than the other two cultivars but relative feed value in stem was higher than that of the other cultivars, but had higher dry weight than other cultivars so it was considered to take an advantage as a silage rice. Therefore, the results of this study suggest that the selection of whole-crop silage rice on the cropping system be made comprehensively by considering the heading characteristics of the cultivars and the feed value.

벼 자포니카와 통일형 품종간 광전역에 따른 엽신의 광합성특성 차이 (Effect of Light Pretreatment on Photosynthetic Characteristics of Leaf Blade in Japonica and Tongil Type Rice)

  • 광전역이 수도엽신의 광합성에 미치는 영향을 구명코져 일반형 2품종(추청벼, 화진벼)과 통일형 2품종(삼강벼, 칠성벼)에 대하여 분얼기에서 출수기에 이르는 기간동안 무처리, 30%, 70% 차광처리하여 분얼기와 출수기에 고저 광도 조건하에서 광합성 특성 및 이와 관련한 생리, 생태적 특성을 검토한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 차광처리에 의한 건물중의 감소는 70% 차광처리구에서 많았으며, 분얼기보다 출수기가 현저하였고, LAR 및 SLA도 출수기에 높았다. 2. 분얼기 저광도(5Klux)하의 개체의 광합성 능력은 낮은 편이며, 무처리<30%<70% 차광처리의 순이었고, 고광도(33Klux)하에서는 무처리구 보다 30% 차광처리구가 가장 높았다. 3. 출수기에 단엽의 광합성 능력은 무처리에 비하여 70%차광처리구가 오히려 높았다. 4. 광합성에 대한 호흡비율(Respiration/Photosynthesis${\times}$100)은 무처리구에 비하여 차광처리구에서 전반적으로 낮았다. 5. CGR, RGR, NAR은 무처리구에 비하여 차광정도가 높을수록 감소하였다. 6. 차광처리는 수량 구성요소중 특히 1수 영화수를 감소시켜 정조수량이 감소되고, 따라서 수확지수도 저하되었다.

Tall fescue 품종의 환경적응성 III. 가을철 예취관리가 1번초의 개체중과 수량구성요소에 미치는 영향 (Environmental Adaptation of Tall Fescue varieties in Mauntainous pastures III. Effect of autumn cutting management on the dry weight of plant(DW) of the 1st cutting)

  • This experiments were carried out to estimate the optimum final cutting date in autumn and the selection of highly adaptable varieties in mountainous pastures of Taekwalyong area. The evaluations were based on the data of varietal differences of dry weight of plant(DW) and yield components of the 1st cutting as affected by various final cutting dates of last autumn. Nine varieties of tall fescue Barvetia, Fuego. Demeter, Safe. Barcel, Forager, Johnstone, Enforcer and Stef. were used and 4 final cutting date of autumn were $C_1$, cut on 30 Sept. $C_2$, on 14 Oct. $C_3$, on 28 Oct. and $C_4$. on 11 Nov.. respectively. The results obtained were as follows: I . Between the dry weight of plant(DM) and yield components of 1st cutting were different by various final cutting dates of autumn. The dry weight of plant(DW) was significantly positive correlated with heading characteristics of the 1st cutting in earlier cuttings($C_1- C_3$) of autumn, but there was not significant correlated with heading characteristics of the 1st cutting in the latest cutting($C_4$) of autumn. 2. The variety of Forager with heavier weight of heading tiller(HTW) and dry weight of tiller(WT) showed the highest dry weight of plant(DW) of the 1st cutting in earlier cuttings($C_1-C_3$) of autumn, whereas the variety of Barcel with high number of tillers per plant(NT) showed a high dry weight of plant(DW) of the 1st cutting in the latest cutting($C_4$) of autumn. 3. Optimum final cutting date and critical period of mountainous pastures in Taekwalyong area were estimated in late September($C_1$) and middle October($C_2$), sespectirety. 4. The dry weight of plant(DW) of the 1st cutting was significantly negative correlated with final cutting dates in growth period of autumn.

진흥(振興)과 IR 667의 엽초(葉鞘) 및 절간(節間)의 당(糖) 및 전분함량(澱粉含量)과 등숙환경(登熟環境) (Sugar and starch in leaf-sheaths and internode of Jinheung and IR667 rice under various ripening environments)

  • 진흥(振興)과 IR667-수원(水原) 214의 작기이동재배(作期移動栽培)에서 출수기(出穗期)와 출수(出穗)4주후(週後)에 절위별(節位別) 엽초(葉鞘) 및 절간(節間)의 당(糖) 및 전분함량(澱粉含量)에 따라 탄수화물대사(炭水化物代謝)에 있어 고당형(高糖形)(당(糖)>전분(澱粉)), 당경향(糖傾向)(당함량증가경향(糖含量增加傾向)), 고전분형(高澱粉形)(전분(澱粉)>당(糖)), 전분경향등(澱粉傾向等) 분류(分類)의 타당성(妥當性)을 재검토(再檢討)한 결과(結果) 다음과 같다. 1) 진흥(振興)보다 IR667이, 엽초(葉鞘)보다 절간(節間)이, 조기(早期)보다 만기(晩期)가 출수기(出穗期)보다 4주후(週後)가 저온(低溫)에서보다 고온(高溫)에서 당경향(糖傾向)이었다. 따라서 출수기(出穗期)에는 조기(早期) 및 만기재배(晩期栽培)의 진흥엽초(振興葉鞘)와 절간(節間)이 고전분형(高澱粉形)이고 조기(早期) IR667의 하위절간(下位節間) 및 만기(晩期) IR667의 엽초(葉鞘)와 절간(節間)은 고당형(高糖形)이었다. 극만기(極晩期)에서는 진흥출수기제(振興出穗期第)1절간(節間)을 제(除)한 두 품종의 모두 절간(節間)이 고전분형(高澱粉形)이었다. 출수(出穗)4주후(週後)에는 진흥(振興)의 제1(第) 및 4위엽초(位葉鞘)를 제외(除外)한 두품종의 모든 엽초(葉鞘)와 절간(節間)이 고당형(高糖形)이었다. 조기(早期) IR667과 만기(晩期) 두품종이 출수(出穗)4주후(週後)에 절간(節間) 보다 엽초(葉鞘)에서 고당형(高糖形)이 강화(强化)되었다. 2) 상위(上位)3절위(節位) 엽초(葉鞘) 및 간(稈)이 탄수화물전류(炭水化物轉流)에서 같은 방향(方向)으로 작용(作用)하는 것 같다. 그들간엔 상위(上位)로 갈수록 출수기(出穗期)에는 당경향(糖傾向)을, 4주후(週後)에는 전분경향(澱粉傾向)을 보이며 이러한 현상은 진흥(振興)에서 뚜렷하였다. 3) 작기(作期)가 늦을수록 탄수화물함량(炭水化物含量)(당(糖)+전분(澱粉))이 높고 이 경향(傾向)은 출수(出穗)4주후(週後)와 IR667에서 뚜렷하여 저온(低溫)에 의(依)한 전류조해(轉流阻害)를 나타내는것 같다. 4) 수(穗)로의 전류속도(轉流速度)(일당입중증가(日當粒重增加))는 단기재배(單期栽培)에서 빠르고 진흥(振興)보다 IR667이 빨리 최고속도(最高速度)에 도달(到達)하였다. 5) 작기(作期)가 늦을수록 수량(收量)에 대(對)한 출수전(出穗前) 탄수화물(炭水化物)의 기여율(奇與率)은 커지며 엽초중심형(葉鞘中心形)인 IR667이 언제나 컸다. 6) 당(糖)/전분비(澱粉比)는 주(主)로 품종(品種)의 대사특성(代謝特性)으로, 이차적(二次的)으로 그러나 상당한 정도로 환경요인(環境要因)에 의하여 결정(決定)되는것 같다.

커뮤니티 주제 어휘의 상호운용에 관한 연구 (Interoperability of Community-Oriented Subject Vocabulary)

  • 본 연구에서는 최근 활발히 이용되고 있는 커뮤니티 주제 어휘의 특징을 선행연구인 ULIS-DL과 디지털오카야마 대백과(디지털강산대백과(デジタル岡山大百科))를 중심으로 알아보고, 이들 어휘들의 상호운용 모델을 일본의 동경도(東京都), 홋카이도(북해도(北海道)), 한국의 충청남도의 각 도청 홈페이지의 디렉토리 용어들을 이용하여 제안하였다. NDLSH(National Diet Library Subject Heading)와 NDC(Nippon Decimal Classification)를 스위칭 언어를 사용하여 다섯개의 어휘 매핑 모델을 제안하였다. 마지막으로, 각각의 모델들에 대한 평가 및 한계점에 관하여 매핑의 정확율과 재현율을 이용하여 논하였다.

파이프를 이용한 플랜지의 성형특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Forming Characteristics of Flange Using Pipe)

  • This study is aimed to find out the optimal forming conditions by comparing and analyzing material flow, deformation pattern, and a forming load through rigid-plastic FEM for a flange using pipe. Flanges are widely used for various purposes as connectors of industrial steel pipes which are manufactured by drawing process. The forming feature of flange was reviewed through both heading process and radial extrusion process in a cold working condition. As a result of simulation, the shape of flange can not be made by heading process, but made by radial extrusion process. The effects of design factors, such as gap-height, die-comer radius, and frictional factors on maximum forming load and deformation pattern are investigated for radial extrusion process.

비조질강의 개발 동향 (The Current Status of the Development of Heat-Treatment-Free Steel)

  • Heat-treatment-free steels have been replacing for conventional quenched-and-tempered structural steels since the microalloyed forging steel was developed in early 1970s in Germany. Substantial cost reduction provides the driving force for this change. As a result of intensive R & D efforts and application trials, various kinds of grades, for example heat-treatment-free steels for hot forging, machining and cold heading, have been developed and moreover these steels are in tonnage production throughout the world. The developments in alloy steels, processing conditions and structure-property characteristics of the heat-treatment-free steels, are described and also recent trend and future prospect are summarized in this report.
