Dang Jonghae put in order symptoms to volume one of Uihakgyeonneung by the attack region of illness, to volume two of Uihakgyeonneung by systemic symptoms, and ones peculiar to gynecology and pediatrics to volume three of Uihakgyeonneung. He presented the basis of a differential diagnosis by Yin-Yang, heat and cold, weakness and firmness. He seized the cause and mechanism of a disease obviously and took measures to cope with a disease. These were the result of his rationality that he integrated the Chinese and Western medicine. That is to say, he summarized the voluminous medical books and extracted the essential ones to utilize conveniently, and he made us grasp the essence of medicine to make symptoms concrete. Therefore, we can study this book as the fundamental courses to make use of basic research and clinical medicine.

The Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) technique can be used to obtain a whole-field view of thermal counterflow velocity profile in He II. Using commercially available microspheres, we have been able to visualize the normal fluid velocity in He II thermal counterflow; however, the measured velocities are less than predicted from the two fluid model. None the less, the PIV is a useful tool for observing the counterflow field in He II flow, particularly where the flow is complex as occurs through channel constrictions or around bluff objects. The present paper shows recent results using PIV to observe He II counterflow. Two cases are discussed: 1D channel flow and turbulent flow around a circular cylinder.

The purpose of this study is to show the development process of space concept by studying on the Louis I. Kahn's painting as pre-architectural thinking. Generally the idea of an architect is represented with lots of mediums, and the architectural thinking is developed through the process. In his early days, he, as an architect, made many travel sketches of Europe. In these clays, painting was the most significant medium to him. Since 1950's, he also left lots of sketches affected by abstract painting in addition to travel sketches. The results of this study were as follows: He found the image of antiquity from his painting and he made this image into abstraction in the facade. And the image of ruins was translated the layered space which was the transitional space. And he presented 'marche' through the series of painting of various view point. The Concept of 'marche' was translated into the connections of repetitive mass in the architectural space.

The effects of the temporal dark image sticking phenomena on bright screen were investigated with various He, Ne contents and a high Xe content fixed at 11% in the 50-in. ac-PDPs. In this work, the disappearance time and the display luminance between the before and after discharge in the discharge and non-discharge regions were measured with 0%, 35%, and 50% He contents. Consequently, the temporal dark image sticking on bright screen was reduced with the increase of He contents compared with the non-He (0%) content.

非同時化시킨 HeLa $S_3$ 細胞에 있어 MMS에 의한 $^3 H$-Thymidine Uptake率은 MMS의 頻度증가에 따라 직선적으로 감소하며, BUdR 혹은 IUdR과 二重處理할 경우 그 감소율은 더욱 증가한다. MMS에 의한 $^3 H$-Thymidine Uptake은 thymidine 二重 處理후 얻은 同時化된 HeLa $S_3$ 細胞의 $G_2$ 時期에서 檢出된다. BUdR과 IUdR은 MMS에 의한 $^3 H$-Thymidine Uptake率을 더욱 증가시키며 IUdR은 BUdR에 비해 더효과적인 感受性 物質로 판명되었다.

Pu-lei is a well-known translator in Chinese literature. He had delivered his experience, knowledge and paternal love to his son who was studying abroad, by hundreds of letters from 1954 to 1966. These letters are appreciated as the perfect expression for paternal love and concerns. Although he had experienced both cultures of the West and the East, his lessons for son are rooted in the oriental‘sprit training’. What he emphasized in his letters is that one should put sound personality first than merely enhancing abilities. Especially, he valued the recreation from meditation and living up to one's belief. Furthermore, he had taught his son to observe the properties, to manage time, and pride of his country and patriotism. The modern family education has overlooked the enhancement of human nature. The egoistic and jaundiced parental love and over-protectiveness led the disorder and the absence of morality today. In this point, the lessons from Pu-lei's letter will give us important suggestions.

20-hydroxvecdysone (20-HE) seems to be related in the regulation of vitellogenesis in Drosophifa sp. (robwta species sroup). Although yolk proteins (YPs) synthesis does not occur at a high rate in fat body cells of one daw-old female after eclosion, application of 20-HE to isolated abdomens deprived of anterior endocrine glands stimulated the synthesis and secretion of YPs into the hemolvmph. An injection of 0.3 $\mul$ of a 10-s M 20-HE was sufficient topromote synthesis and secretion of YPs in isolated abdomens. The response of isolated automens to hormones was first detected between 2 hr and 3 hr after treaDent of 10-s M 20-HE. Transcript analysis showed that the effect of 20-HE on yolk protein synthesis was mediated at the level of transcription.

Objectives : Cho Wonhui published his book "Ounyukgi-Uihakbogam", in which Ungi was used for clinical purposes, but his life is hardly known. Conclusions & Conclusions : Cho Wonhui passed the Jinsa exam in 1894 and entered Seonggyungwan. Gojong recommended him to study medicine, and in 1907, he treated a person (later Taisho Emperor) who visited the Korea Empire and achieved his reputation. He was invited to Japan with this opportunity and received a degree from Meiji Emperor, a philosophical doctor of medicine. He passed the medical intern examination in 1923, and in 1938, he published the book "Ounyukgi-Uihakbogam". After 6 25, the Ceonundang oriental medicine clinic was opened in Busan and patients were treated. In 1963, he died at the age of 90.: This study met Cho Wonhui's descendants and talked about the life of Cho Wonhui and comprehensively summarized the related data.

We developed a new grid-based Monte Carlo code to trace far UV He II line photons that are incident on a thick H I region and subsequently transferred through Rayleigh and Raman scattering with atomic hydrogen. In particular, we consider a neutral region that is moving away from the He II emission source which is either monochromatic or is described by a Gaussian profile. The resultant Raman scattered He II line profiles from a monochromatic source are characterized by a double peaked core part with an extended Raman red tail that is attributed to multiple re-entry events. Complicated behaviors are observed in the case of a Gaussian He II source including the formation of a secondary red peak near the Balmer center dependent on the H I column density. A preliminary application of our results to the CFHT data of the planetary nebula IC 5117 is presented.

This paper examines the moral vagueness penetrating Heart of Darkness. It views that the inarticulate moral presentation in the book is caused by the way in which the author distracts Marlow throughout his journey to Congo and ultimately to Kurtz, and puts him in a distance from what the real Cong is. Also Conrad's peculiar narrative style leads the readers' view astray Marlow describes what he sees and delivers the impression he gains in the journey but all he gets seems to be merely hazy and nebulous the readers are left with suspicion about his reliability on what he conveys to them. The effect is, because of the meagre tangibility on what Marlow experiences, he does not seem to get a clear grip on his moral rumination on what Congo can emit and what Kurtz ended up with, which allows the novel to defy a moral absoluteness. The moral awakening Marlow has gone through remains obscure. The readers are simply invited to work out what Marlow is up to.
