산업용로보트를 이용한 자동전선망(wire harness) 조립시스템의 설계에 관한 연구 (Design Alterntives for Robot-based Wire Harness Assembly Processes)

  • Wire harness assembly is one of the most labor intensive processes in manufa- tuing, but the process has not been fully automated yet. In this paper a variety of concepts for flexible automated assembly system are suggested to design a robot- based wire harness assembly cell. All concepts are featuring an automatic, fedkng of wires, terminating routing, inserting and bundling. Based upon possible assembly methods and procedures, six alternative systems are proposed and, finally, evaluated10 from the view point of system performance such as flexibility, reliability assembly time and equipment cost.

  • Recently industry of motor vehicle is making a gradual progress of automotive electric components. According to this step, wire harness equipped at motor vehicle is also increased. The most important component at the wire harness is electric connector. At the manufacturing process of electric connector, exactly at the crimping process, design variables, such as clamping-height, clamping-width and clamping die shape are critical parameters to assure satisfactory harness shape in clamping process of electric connector. In this study we have performed FEM simulation for clamping process and clarified the effect of design variables on compression rate of wire.

전면 도어 와이어하니스 시스템의 내구 수명 예측에 관한 연구 (Durability Prediction of Door W/H System Using FEM Analysis)

  • In vehicle's door wiring harness (W/H) system is more toward to arrange a passenger compartment than a hinge and a weatherstrip. An opening/closing member of a vehicle is attached to a vehicle by a hinge in a manner enabling easy opening and closing of the opening/closing member. Such members include doors, such as side-doors and rear doors, and other opening/closing members, such as trunk lids. This article gives some insight into the dimensioning process, with special focus on large deflection analysis of wiring harness(W/H) in vehicle's door structures for durability problem. The Finite elements analysis for door wiring harness(W/H) is used for residual stresses and dimensional stability with bending flexible. Durability test data for slam test specimens were compared with the numerical predicted fatigue life for verification. The final testing of the component combines the effects of these microstructural features with the complex stress state arising from the combined service loading and residual stresses.

안전모의 충격전달에 관한 이론적 고찰 (A theoretical study on the shock-absorbing characteristic of safety helmet)

  • The need for the protection of workers in many industrial workstations has long been recognized, and many type of protective equipment have been devised. In many protective equipment designs, this study set limits to the safety helmet. The direct closed head impact problem was idealized as a linear-damped spring model. This study concerns what properties of helment should afford optimal protection in a direct closed head impact problem. The solution to the problem was achieved through analytic method and numerical computation. The answer was found in terms of 4 parameters : 1) rigidity of shell, 2) viscosity of shell, 3)rigidity of harness, 4) viscosity of harness. The choices are as follows 1) to reduce the rigidity value of harness as small as possible 2) to increase the viscosity value of harness as large as possible. 3) to select the rigidity value of shell sufficient for preventing a breakage.

코르셋 타입 하네스의 신체 하중압력 분포 측정 및 가상착의 적용 (Investigation of the body distribution of load pressure and virtual wear design according to the corset type harness)

  • Harnesses are used in a variety of industries, such as rescue operations, medicine, and entertainment. However, conventional harnesses have problems as they are uncomfortable to wear and causes continuous pain. Therefore, in this study, the load and pressure applied to the body in the flying state when using a conventional harness were measured in real time and the distribution change was observed. Load and pressure were measured using a modified corset harness, a pressure sensor, and a human mannequin to measure the maximum and average pressure on the waist. As a result, it was confirmed that the load concentrated on the waist in the flying state was 104 N, and the pressure was applied to the left and right sides was 800 kPa or greater. The pressure distribution showed a pressure of 3-45 kPa in 73% in all measurable pressures. The results of the load and pressure distribution are presented as basic data for improving the wearability and reducing the discomfort of harnesses in the future, aid in the development of a harnesses that can minimize discomfort for various activities, and increase the concentration on experiential activities. In addition, using the CLO 3D program, which is a 3D virtual wearing system, a harness was put on a virtual model, and the compression level was checked and compared with the actual pressure distribution. As a result of comparing the measured pressure values in the flying state with the clothing pressure wearing the harness in the CLO 3D program, the total pressure value was found to be about 68% of the actual measured value. This helps develop a harness that can minimize discomfort during activities by predicting the load and pressure on the body by first applying new designs to a virtual wearing system during development. These new harness patterns can solve the problems of conventional harnesses.

  • Since past till now, automotive wiring harness has been designed and produced under the method of part number list. However, the number of options has increased gradually on the basis of customer's needs and car manufacturer's policy, thereby bringing about an increase in the number of classified parts. Because of a large number of classified parts, cost estimates for manufacturing and production planning are more important than ever. However, the pre-existing manufacturing bill of material abbreviated as BOM is only focused on the list of materials used for actual manufacturing, and as such there have been limits to other fields or areas of usage except for manufacturing. In essence, the present paper is concerned with our study conducted on modular BOM as one of planning BOM. On such basis, we have been able to completely use a method by which to have access, make an option units' calculation in wiring harness manufacturing, and build an efficient system for cost estimates in manufacturing as well.

  • 소형 추적 레이다는 여러 구성품들이 유기적으로 연결되어 있어서 와이어 하니스 설계가 매우 중요하다. 구동부 위인 김발을 지나서 안테나와 초고주파수신기로 연결되는 배선은 연결되는 path에 따라서 전기적 특성에 영향을 준다. 또한 김발의 구동 성능에도 영향을 미친다. 디지털 신호가 많은 신호처리부 및 서보부와 연결되는 케이블은 전자파 노이즈에 의하여 신호처리부의 CPU가 오동작을 하지 않도록 대책을 마련해야 한다. ◯◯ GHz 대역의 신호전송을 위한 케이블은 온도, 진동, 충격에 대한 설계가 반영되어야 한다. 좁은 공간에 와이어 하네스를 설계하기 위해서는 컨넥터의 크기를 최소화 해야 한다. 본 논문에서는 소형 추적 레이다의 와이어 하네스 설계에 고려해야 할 사항들에 대하여 설명하고 설계 방안을 제시하였다.

철도차량 대차 적용 유리섬유/에폭시 4-매 주자직 적층 복합재의 인장-압축 피로특성 평가 연구 (A Study on the Evaluation of Tension-Compression Fatigue Characteristics of Glass Fiber/Epoxy 4-Harness Satin Woven Laminate Composite for the Railway Bogie Application)

  • 본 논문은 철도차량 경량화 재질로 적용된 유리섬유/에폭시 4-매 주자직 적층 복합재료의 인장-압축 피로특성을 평가하였다. 유리섬유/에폭시 4-매 주자직 적층 복합재료의 인장-압축 피로시험은 경사, 위사 그리고 ${\pm}45^{\circ}$ 방향으로 적층된 시험편에 대하여 수행하였다. 인장-압축 피로시험은 5Hz의 주파수를 갖으며, 응력비(R)는 -1로 수행하였다. 인장-압축 피로시험 수행 시 압축하중에 의한 시험편의 좌굴을 방지하기 위하여 좌굴방지지그를 설계하고 이를 시험에 적용하였다. 또한, Goodman 선도는 유리섬유/에폭시 4-매 주자직 적층 복합재의 피로특성과 수명을 평가하기 위해 사용하였다. 유리섬유/에폭시 4-매 주자직 적층 복합재료의 인장-압축 피로시험결과 경사방향 적층 복합재의 피로특성이 기존 금속재 대차에 적용되는 SM490에 비하여 우수한 것으로 나타났다.

CRS 하네스 벨트 사용에 따른 어린이 인체 모형 상해 연구 및 실차 레벨 충돌 평가 (Injury Study of Older Children Anthropomorphic Test Device with CRS Harness Belt and Vehicle Level Crash Test)

  • For years, Q1.5 (anthropomorphic test device for 1.5 years old infant) and Q3 (anthropomorphic test device for 3 years old infant) dummy protection has been improved considerably by the effort of EuroNCAP. ISOFIX strength of vehicle structure has increased and many child occupant protection tests have made child restraint system (hereafter CRS) optimized for child safety. However, from 2016, EuroNCAP changed the dummy which is used for the child occupant protection from Q1.5/Q3 to Q6/Q10 and these were also adopted in KNCAP from 2017. Therefore, a new method is required to secure the safety for older children In this research, child dummies were tested by using adult safety systems, and the different results from each adult restraint system were compared. Finally, dummies were tested with the CRS harness belt commonly used for infants, which has yielded significant result. In this research, mid-sized sedan and small SUV were used for the test. The researchers of this paper performed sled tests to correlate between the different adult safety belt system and child injury. Following the sled test, an actual vehicle test was conducted to gather the injury data of Q-dummy with the CRS harness belts. This paper will show the advantages of applying a pre-tensioner in the second row for child protection and the necessity of CRS which has its own harness belts to improve safety for older children.
