Cable structures are lightweight structures of flexible type, cable members have only axial stiffness related to tension, they can carry neither bending nor compression. This study is the analysis of cable truss systems are composed of upper and low cables by connecting bracing cables, the structural principle is based on a tensegrity system by using bracing tension members, discontinuous compression members and continuous tension members. A hanging roof of cable truss system is too flexible against vertical loads, most cable members are stabilized by connecting the prestressed upper and lower cable by bracing cables. A cable truss roof system is formed by adding a set of cables with reverse curvature to the suspension cables. With the sets of cables having opposite curvature to each other, cable truss is able to carry vertical load in both upward and downward direction with equal effectiveness, and then a cable truss acts as load bearing elements by the assemble of ridge cables, valley cables and bracing cables. This paper will be shown the geometric non-linear analysis result of cable truss systems with various sag ratio for deflections and tensile forces, the analytical results are compared with the results of other researchers.

Foamed aluminum is an eco-friendly material that is reusable and safe against fire. These superior characteristics have many advantages in the field of building and construction and in cruise ships as sound absorbers. So far, the research on foamed aluminum has been focused on the sound absorption performance using the foaming ratio. Foamed aluminum, when compared with the existing sound absorbers such as glass wool or rock wool, has a better structural performance, and it can be installed on walls in many different ways. This study conducted experiments on the sound absorption characteristics considering the various applications of foamed aluminum. The effects of painting surfaces with the finishing material were compared to that of the normal surface, and the effects of vertical installation and hanging from the ceiling was compared with the effects of installing on the floor.

Background: Therapeutic climbing training, which originated in Germany, is a wall-hanging rock climbing-based therapy to increase the body's coordination through movement of the upper and lower limbs against gravity. However, there are no studies examining the effectiveness of therapeutic climbing training to treat balance and gait ability in patients with chronic stroke. Objectives: To investigate therapeutic climbing training program on balance and gait in patients with chronic stroke. Design: Pretest-posttest control group design. Methods: Fourteen patients with chronic hemiplegic stroke participated. Participants were randomized into the therapeutic climbing training group (TCTG, n=7) and the standard rehabilitation program group (SRPG, n=7) group. All subjects participated in the same standard rehabilitation program consisting of 60 minutes 5 times a week for 6 weeks. TCTG participated additionally in the therapeutic climbing program consisting of 30 minutes sessions 3 times a week for the same 6 weeks. Berg balance scale (BBS), Gaitview Measure, Timed up and go test (TUG) were measured. Results: In the TCTG, revealed a statistical difference in BBS between the groups; in the difference of plantar pressure ratio in the static standing position revealed a statistical difference between the groups after training; the balance ability in the one-leg standing tests increased significantly; the time in TUG decreased significantly after training in both groups; The changes in the difference of dynamic plantar pressure ratio were reduced significantly in the TCTG. Conclusion: Therapeutic climbing training contribute to improve balance and walking function in patients with chronic stroke.

As the combustion process of CWM consists of the water evaporation, the release and combustion of volatile matter, and the combustion of char for every particle, it is more complex than that of existent liquid fuel. Though the many studies on CWM combustion have been carried out by the single droplet using hanging methods or the multiple droplet using atomization methods, any report don't presents definite solution about the effects by the initial water evaporation and combustion of volatile. When CWM is suddenly exposed in the high temperature surroundings, the internal water evaporates and then each droplet builds up pores. Besides, porosity rate changes along the temperature of surroundings, the composition ratio of CWM, and the initial diameter of droplet. In result, because it affects the whole combustion rate, the combustion of CWM has complex mechanism as compared with the combustion of liquid or gas fuel. Therefore, concentrating on porous structure of CWM, this study has proceeded to acquire the basic data on the CWM injection combustion and closely examines the effects of the first stage combustion on the whole combustion by measuring the diameter variations, pore rate, mass fraction burned, and the internal temperature changes of CWM droplet. The results demonstrate that $60{\sim}70%$ of initial mass is reduced during water evaporation and volatile combustion period, and swelling rate, mass faction burned, and density variation are greatly concerned with atomization of CWM etc.

The purpose of this reasearch is to supply the basic data to improve Home Economics curriculum. This research was intended for 190 home economics teachers who are teaching in Kwang-Ju and chun-nam. The results are summarized as follows; 1. Among the objects of Home economics, the most important objects were to make students understand the significance of family life and development of family numbers. It requires 4 or 5 hours a week to learn these objects. 2. The amount of curriculum was immense and the level of curriculum was higher than students’level. More intencifying field are in this order; sex education, propriety education, consumption life, occupation, and computer education. 3. In home economics curriculum, the main stress was laid upon the application of action and learning content was focused on the matter set in the examination. 4. Theory and practical training classes were usually in the ratio of 7:3 and 8:2 in the current school classes. Ideal training classes are in the ration of 4:6, 5:5, 6:4, which showed that much weight was given to the practical exercises. 5. In practing subject matter, students tended to practice only main subject matter. The reason was primarily due to the lacks of equipments and faccilities, the limitation of training time for enterance examination and budgetary deficit. 6. Application of resorces was in the order of files, realia, samples, hanging chart, O.H.P and V.T.R. 7. The method of evaluation was mostly composed of paper and pens and practical evaluation when the practical evaluation was carrient out, in the case of necessity the standard of evaluation was made out.
Two-dimensional cultivation is typically used for cell growth, but the method reduces the characteristics of chondrocytes and stem cells, and limits culture area. Therefore, development of three-dimensional culture method is needed to mimic in vivo environment, improve quality of cells and scale-up efficiently. Improving proliferation and chondrogenesis is available by co-culture of chondrocytes and mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) that leads to interaction between two kinds of cells. However, the co-culture has problems that permeability of sphere diminishes as aggregate size increased and ratio of two kinds of cells composing each spheres is different. In this work, co-cultivation method using controlled sphere composed of chondrocytes and MSCs was established and enhanced chondrogenesis. Periosteum-derived progenitor cells (PDPCs) that are appropriate for cell therapy source of articular cartilage were used as MSCs. Controlled spheres were formed in the hanging-drop plates and shifted for being induced chondrogenesis in 35-mm non-adhesive culture dishes at a rotation rate of 60 rpm. After inducing chondrogenesis, gene expressions related with chondrogenesis were found to be improved and it was apparent that the utilization of controlled spheres promoted chondrogenesis. As a result, available numbers of cells per unit area were increased and chondrogenic differentiation ability was improved compared to typical two-dimensional culture. This approach shows the potential in cartilage regeneration as it can provide sufficient numbers of chondrocytes.
Objective : Phellinus spp. mushroom is an object of interest because it has excellent anticancer effect. Owing to the similalarities in the morphology, Phellinus linteus and Phellinus baumii are often used as same Sang Hwang Mushroom in the Korean market.. The quality control for mushrooms is needed because there are many differences in the efficacy according to cultivation method and cultivation area. Therefore, a reliable authentication method of these herbal medicine is necessary to compare and measure the amount of beta-glucan which is known to have a hypoglycemic effect, from the mushrooms collected in various regions Methods : 7 samples of medicinal mushrooms supplying phellinus spp. were collected in Korea, China and Cambodia. We investigated the hardness, colors, extract ratio, ${\alpha}-amylase$ and ${\alpha}-glucosidase$ inhibitory activities, glucose transporter 4 (GLUT-4) expressions of water extracts from Phellinus spp and also MTT assay were examined for cell toxicity. Results : The results revealed that Phellinus spp.water Ext.inhibited ${\alpha}-glucosidase$ activity. glucose transporter 4 (GLUT-4), the key insulin signaling pathway transcription factor, was remarkably increased by the Phellinus baumii water extract Conclusions : These results suggest that The more yellowish the mushroom is, the lower the hardness, the more the content of ${\beta}-glucan$ is proportional. Because the more ${\beta}-glucan$, the greater the effect of hypoglycemia. compared to the hypoglycemic effect, Phellinus Baumii grown at hanging on selves for 7 month in the green house is the best.
Sex differentiation process of the spotted sea bass, Lateolabrax maculatus, was investigated by histological method. The fish samples were collected from just after hatching to 365 days later. The primordial germ cells and genital ridge were appeared separately hanging under air bladder in 30-day larva (total length: 11.7~13.2 mm), and were unified into the undifferentiated gonads in 40-day larva (12.5~14.0 mm). The ovarian differentiation was started in 60-day juvenile (23.6~27.0 mm). The somatic tissues were elongated in tip of both ends of undifferentiated gonad and were fused each other. The complete ovarian cavity was appeared in 80-days juvenile(33.1~42.5 mm). The testicular differentiation was initiated in 70-day juvenile (24.8~31.6 mm). The rudiment of sperm duct was appeared in the center of the undifferentiated gonad. The meiosis of germ cells in the ovary was started in 168-day juvenile (88.0~115.4 mm). In 287-day juvenile (175.1~233.6 mm), the ovary was filled with both of chromatin stage and perinucleolus stage oocytes. The meiosis of male germ cells was started in 245-day juvenile (124.4~168.3 mm). However, the seminiferous tubules of testis were filled with numerous sperm in 365-day juvenile (162.5~253.8 mm). The sex ratio of male and female was 1:1.38. Considering these results, the spotted sea bass was showed differentiated type in sex differentiation and gonochorism in sexuality.
Morphological variations of the Korean Oyster, Crassostrea gigas, were studied on the basis of the oyster samples collected from seven ecologically different areas in May and October of 1972 respectively. The sampling areas were Daecheon and Buan in the west coast, Namseong, Cha-myeon, Imyeong and Chubong in the south coast and Pohang in the east coast. The average sizes of the oysters of the west coast were smaller than those of the south coast as well as those of the east coast. The oysters of the east were largest in size, The oysters from subtidal habitats (Chubong and Pohang) had elongated shells and those from intertidal habitats (Buan, Namseong, Imyeong and Chamyeon) had slanted shells. The samples from subtidal habitats showed size variations depending on cultural methods applied. The oysters from Chubong reared by hanging method had their shells as compared to those from Pohang reared by bottom culture method. The ratio of shell height to shell length showed a great variation froms areas to areas with a significant differences. The fatness (meat weight / shell weight) of all the samples collected in October revealed higher value than those collected in May. The oysters from Chubong showed maximum fatness, and those of Pohang showed minimum fatness. Seasonal variations in fatness was not significant in Chubong. On the other hand, it was relatively significant in the oysters from Pohang, Chamyeon, Imyeong and Buan. Water content of the oyster meat was greater in October than in May. It also showed variations in the sampling areas with higher values in the oyster from Imyeong and Chamyeon than those from Chubong, Pohang and Daecheon.
Various types of shearing devices which may be a substitute for the conventional beams in stow nets were considered, and then tentatively named "the zonal canvas type of stow net" having the shearing device made of zonal canvas was devised. A 1/3 model of the net was made and experimented at sea. Converted to the full scale, the measured water resistance R(kg) of the net was given by $R=5.6{\times}10^{3}V^{l.5}$ or $R=3.5\frac{d}{l}{\lambda}_b{\lambda}_l\;V^{1.5}$, where V is the water velocity (m/sec), d the diameter of netting bars, l the length of the bars, ${\lambda}_b$ the stretched circumference of net mouth (m), ${\lambda}_l$ the length of net stretched. The net height kept about $83\%$ of the side rope length regardless of the variation of V and the net breadth kept a value over $90\%$ of the head rope length until V reached 1 m/sec. These results were very successful according to expectation, but the conventional netting was requested a further improvement. Therefore, the netting was newly designed to have smaller size of meshes in the vicinity of net mouth and larger hanging ratio breadthwise. With the netting a full scale net was made and experimented by a stern trawler. The experiment gave a net breadth over $95\%$ of the head rope length until V reached 1m/sec and showed no faults in the net. But the net operation by the stern trawler was ascribed an inconvenience to its narrow breadth of stern slip way.
