  • Recently Wireless Communication technologies are widely used in Small And Medium Business fields. Wireless mesh networks have been studied as the next generation technology to solve problem of conventional wireless networks. Wireless mesh network uses a 802.11 when make up of network. mesh clients occurs Hard handover moving between ones. This increases the handover latency of the network mobility is a very great issues. Consequently, this paper propose a channel information previously methods to reduce the handover latency selective channels. Proposed scheme accounts for more than 90% of the probe delay to minimize the client had to move the mesh based on the old channel to retrieve information. Through simulation, the proposed scheme had shorter handover delay time than transitional full scan and selective scan. Through results of evaluation, the suggest PCISS scheme more fast 6.5% than transitional scheme.

  • The current trend of the handover authentication delay time is gradually increased according to the interworking between 3G cellular network and WLANs. Therefore, authentication mechanism minimized in delay is required to perform the seamless handover and support the inter-subnet and inter-domain handover. In this paper, we propose a novel pre-authentication scheme based on the fast channel switching which directly performs the authentication with the next access point in advance. In addition, the proposed scheme is efficient in the inter-domain handover and can be easily implemented in current WLANs since it just modifies the client side of user. To analysis and evaluate our scheme, we compare the packet loss ratio and the delay time with the two standard 802.11 authentication schemes. The analytical results show that our scheme is approximate 10 times more effective than the standard schemes in packet loss and the delay time is minimized down to 0.16 msec.

  • Since the number of user equipments has also increased rapidly, the problem of network load due to frequent handover of user equipments has occurred. As a solution to this we expect to be able to reduce network overload problems and the delay caused by handover using LTE-based D2D communication. In this paper, we proposed a proposal to support handover via a preceding user equipment using LTE-based D2D communication by handover method of existing LTE network. We proposed a method that can efficiently solve the handover situation of the user equipment via the preceding user equipment in order to reduce the overlapping signal used at the time of handover between the base station and the user equipment. The handover delay accompanying the change in the number of user equipments was able to confirm the result that the suggested scheme was reduced as compared with the existing LTE handover.

  • In this paper, a new mathematical scheme of Macro Handover Management (MHM) in F-HMIPv6 networks based on Location Based Services (LBS) is proposed. Previous schemes based on F-HMIPv6 protocol usually suffer from three major drawbacks: First, They don't exploit the information about the user mobility behavior in order to reduce handover effects. Second, they only focus on the micro mobility level. Third, they don't consider the quality of service (QoS) of the traffic. The proposed MHM scheme avoids these drawbacks using the available information about Mobile Node (MN) such as user mobility patterns and MN's velocity to predict handover and improve network's QoS. It also takes the traffic type in consideration since it presents a major factor in locating QoS for the user. MHM is analyzed and compared with the F-HMIPv6. The results show that MHM improves the performance in terms of packet delivery cost, location update cost, and handover latency. The design of MHM comprises software package in the MN in addition to a hardware part in the network side. It has implications for communication, design, and pricing of mobile services.

  • In this paper, we propose a QoS-based handover management scheme in SDN. Even though there have been lots of recent services such as IoT, the conventional networks provide a monolitic handover method without considerations on flow-specific QoS features. For example, the conventional Internet provides a handover method which only considers IP continuity. On the other hand, 4G and 5G networks use a strict handover method for all kinds of flows with resource reservations. This means that it is difficult to guarantee the QoS requirements for the flow with a strict QoS requirement in Internet and the inefficient resource utilization can occur in the 4G and 5G because of the strict QoS-based handover management. The proposed scheme proposes the flow handover management scheme based on QoS requirements according to the SDN controller's management. From the network operators' perspective, the proposed scheme can provide the efficient resource utilization as well as QoS provisioning.

  • NEMO is technique to support mobility of a network, not a node, and ensures session continuity for all the nodes in a Mobile Network. However NEMO basic support protocol causes high handover latency, thus it is incongruent real-time services such as VoIP. One of schemes to reduce handover latency is FNEMO. FNEMO that combines conventional NEMO and FMIPv6, reduces latency during the handover, thus it supports fast handover. In this paper, we compare/analyze handover of FNEMO in heterogeneous/homogeneous network, and propose schemes to reduce handover latency.

  • To develop the new network, the future network architecture is studied. Since the mobile devices are also advanced, they need for the mobility protocols. The one of the protocols, Fast handovers for proxy MIPv6(PFMIPv6) has studied by the Internet Engineering Task Force(IETF). Since PFMIPv6 adopts the entities and the concepts of fast handovers for MIPv6(FMIPv6) in proxy MIPv6(PMIPv6), it reduces the packet loss. Although the conventional scheme has proposed that it cooperated with an Authentication, Authorization and Accounting (AAA) infrastructure for authentication of a mobile node in PFMIPv6, it has the drawbacks such as high signaling cost and long handover latency. To reduce the signaling cost and the handover latency, we propose an enhanced authentication scheme in Fast handover for Proxy MIPv6. The proposed scheme reduces the handover latency and the signaling cost because the registration procedure and the authentication procedure are simultaneously performed. We also compare the proposed scheme with the conventional scheme in terms of the signaling cost and the handover latency.

  • Inter-RNC(radio network controller) and inter-BSC(base station center) hard handovers involve rerouting. Thus additional delay time for the new bearer setup and reroute determination should be considered. For theses kinds of handovers we propose a new scheme and coined it as ICHP(Inter-Cluster Handover Prediction). When a call approaches a boundary cell of a cluster, ICHP prepares for the handover by performing resource reservations and reroute computation in advance. Performance analysis shows that ICHP provides faster handover and that it lowers the blocking probability.

  • In this paper, we propose the global handover mechanism that is able to provide the unlimited range of next-generation multimedia mobile services in an integrated environment. This mechanism consists of a multicast source based forwarding scheme and a global session management scheme. Global session management scheme provides LMA session information management, global mobility and route optimization. Multicast source based forwarding scheme delivers data between previously attached LMA and newly attached LMA without packet loss. In addition, this scheme removes the redundancy of buffered data. We present a performance evaluation and features analysis by the simulations using the ns-2. Global session management scheme has a less handover latency, propagation delay and signaling cost than the conventional methods. Multicast source based forwarding scheme can deliver buffer data without loss and it has less buffer size than conventional method.

  • In Mobile IPv6, a handover latency is an important issue. To reduce the handover latency, mipshop working group in IETF has studied the fast handover(FMIPv6) which creates and verifies a new care-of address(NCoA) in advance before a layer 2 handover resulting in reduced handover latency. Even in FMIPv6, the NCoA must be registered in a home agent(HA). This registration still creates a significant amount of delay. To reduce registration latency, we propose a tentative and early binding update(TEBU) scheme that the NCoA is registered in the HA in advance during the layer 2 handover based on FMIPv6. We use cost analysis for the performance evaluation. As a result, we found that the TEBU scheme guarantees lower handover latency than FMIPv6 as much as approximately 21%.
