As a result of investigation on the larvae attacking leaves of Eucommia ulmoides Oliv. and causing serious damage on the plant in Seoul, Chungnam and Jeonbuk Province in Korea during summer in 2013, Protegira songi Chen & Zhang of the family Noctuidae was identified. In this study, we report the host plants of it for the first time from Korea, with larval damage and taxonomic information by illustrating the characteristics of male and female genitalia.

A total of four Perigrapha species were found in Northeast China. Among them, Perigrapha extincta Kononenko, 1989 is reported for the first time in China. The species is briefly redescribed with adult and male genitalia pictures, key, and geographic distributions.

Three species of Noctuidae, Thysanoplusia daubei (Boisduval), Conistra nawae Matsumura, and Nyctycia hoenei (Boursin), are reported for the first time in Korea. Thysanoplusia daubei can be distinguished by the dark greenish ground color of the forewings with a whitish, deeply indented antemedial line, a light grayish discal dot and a blackish ground termen on the hindwing. Conistra nawae can be distinguished by the dark ochreous forewing with dark reddish dentate antemedial and slanted postmedial line and blackish hindwing with ochreous fringe. Nyctycia hoenei can be distinguished by its dark greenish forewing with a large ochreous renal dot on the central fascia and the blackish undulating postmedial line and light blackish hindwing. Adults and genitalia are illustrated and briefly described with their biological and distributional notes.

Three species of Noctuidae, Eupsilia boursini Sugi, Valeria tricristata Draudt and Othosia satoi Sugi are reported for the first time from Korea. Diagnosis for the species, photographs of adults, and illustrations of the male or female genitalia, are provided.
