In this study, services for promoting health were provided to kindergarten children. As u-Health services for children, services centered of positioning of children are provided. However, since problems related with obesity and mental health are increasing day by day due to westernized eating habits, the necessity of physical and mental health care for children is on the rise. Considering this state, in this study, experiments of u-Health services under the concept of wellness were conducted on kindergarten children. For physical health, the children's obesity was controlled and for mental health, services of diagnosing hyperactivity disorder which is a sub symptom of ADHD were provided. Based on the results, it could be identified that parents' satisfaction and children's health conditions were improved.

An individual's eating behavior reflects not only the eating habits of past but also the type of them which characterize the next generation's. A great difference had been observed between western and oriental food lifestyle. By the frequent contacts with each other, however, current oriental food lifestyle is apt to be much westernized. But the food culture of Chosun tribe in Yenbeun, in spite of natural, local, cultural and social demographical factor of change, has been almost preserved in basic convention for 140 years. It can be observed in choice, acceptance and fixation of food that the management of traditional food and eating behavior has been subtained preserving their unique tradition in Chosun tribe.

The Republic of Korea (ROK) has been putting much effort to deal with diabetes which is being increasingly found in all age groups due to inadequate diet. Diabetes is closely related to one's eating habits and lifestyle that often cause hyperglycemia so that it is essential for the diabetic patients to change them to improve or control the major symptoms of diabetes. This study introduces a software engineering solution to support these patients. The software designed for the solution lets the patients to easily recognize their sugar levels and current treatment schemes and then advises a more effective approach along with the essential information through the embedded push service. The major goal of this study is to support diabetes patients by providing a convenient but effective means to prevent or improve diabetic symptoms by patients themselves who will in turn change their lifestyles in a positive manner.

The name list of Korean meals in this paper includes the names of main meals, as well as refreshments between meals. They are deeply related to the time when people have a meal during the day. In other words, the names have generally consisted of two constituents, namely a temporal expression and a name of staple food. This means that Korean's eating habits influenced the names at the time they were formed. Therefore, in this paper, I researched the names of Korean meals which were found in the literature written during 15C ~ early 20C, and studied the diachronic changes happened in the name list of Korean meals, as well as the individual names. As a result, it is verified that how frequent and when people had meals in those days determined the name list of Korean meals, and the biggest change occurred when the midday meal was incorporated into the main meals.

The etiology of masseteric hypertrophy is obscure. When the hypertrophy occurs unilaterally it's appearance is more striking because of the resultant facial asymmetry. Two soldiers were admitted with the complaint of a lump on their jaws. The authors obtained good results on the esthetic & functional aspect in two cases of unilateral masseteric hypertrophy with the Adam's method. The etiology was thought to be the combination of unilateral masticatory and jaw clenching habits when emotionally disturbed or under nervous tension in army services.

This study attempts to analyse the food consumption expenditure patterns of wage-Earner's Households n terms of the changes in income during 1975∼1985. For the purpose of these time-series analysis and cross-section analysis, household survey data 'Annual Report on the Family Income and Expenditure Survey'- was used. The main results can be summarized as follows : 1. The proportion of the food expenditures has decreased with the increased of income in the city families during 1975∼1985. The Income-Elasticity and limit spending habits has decreased with the increase of income in the city families during 1975∼1985. 2. Analyzing the structure of the food consumption of each income class, the results reflected the Engel's law. That is to say, the higher income was, the more absolute expense for food was, but the rate of it was.

Thanks to internet, as one of indispensable parts of our lives, many devices that we use in our daily lives like TV, air conditioner, refrigerator, washing machine, can be monitored and controlled remotely by becoming more intelligent via Internet of Things (IoT) technology. Smart Home applications as one of the elements of smart cities, are individually the most demanded application without question. In this study, Smart Energy Management (SEM) system, based on NodeMCU and Android, has been designed for SEM, which is a part of the smart home application. With this system, household energy consumption can be monitored in real time, as well as having the ability to record the data comprising of operation times and energy consumption information for each device. Additionally, it is ensured to meet the energy needs on a maximized level possible, during the hours when the energy costs are lower owing to the SEM system. The Android interface provides the users with the opportunity to monitor and change their electricity consumption habits in order to optimize the energy efficiency, along with the opportunity to draw up of a daily and weekly schedule.

Purpose. This study was conducted to understand the degree of internet addiction tendency and to find out the factors influencing this addiction tendency among middle school students in Gyeong-buk area. Methods. A total of 450 middle school students in the Daegu and Gyeong-buk area were surveyed in this study. Data collection was conducted through the use of questionnaires. Results. Internet addiction among middle school students was relatively low (Average user). In the overall ratio distribution, however, students who were classified as either addicted or at risk of addiction accounted for a high percentage, 27%. A positive correlation was found between Internet addiction and Internet expectation, depression and parent control over Internet use. A negative correlation was found between Internet addiction and interpersonal relationship, parent support and self-control. Multiple regression analysis revealed that the most powerful predictor of Internet addiction tendency was depression. Conclusion. Through the above results, it would be necessary to develop an Internet addiction prevention program for adolescents taking into account for the psychological factors such as depression and Internet use habits. In the future study, the need assessment will be useful for developing this prevention program.

The personal health record platform can store and manage medical records, health-monitoring data such as blood pressure and blood sugar, and life logs generated from various wearable devices. It provides services such as international standard-based medical document management, data pattern analysis and an intelligent inference engine, and disease prediction and domain contents. This study aims to construct a foundation for the transmission of international standard-based medical documents by mapping the diagnosis items of a general health examination, special health examination, life logs, health data, and life habits with the international standard terminology systems. The results of mapping with international standard terminology systems show a high mapping rate of 95.6%, with 78.8% for LOINC, 10.3% for SNOMED, and 6.5% when mapped with both LOINC and SNOMED.

The major food grains in Korea are rice and barley. The wheat was supplied from USA after World War II in 1945 and it changed the eating habits for Korean diet. The role of barley as a food grain has been diminished and that of wheat has been acknowledged; the consumption per capita per year of wheat is over the half of that of rice which is the staple grain in Korea. This article is a brief review on the background of wheat becoming the important grain in Korean diet and the following developmental story of flour mills. Emphasis was given to the statistics on flour mills industry.
