A Controller Design of the Bilinear System for HVAC(Heating, Ventilating and Air-conditioning) System (냉난방 시스템의 이중선형 시스템에 관한 제어기 설계)

  • In this paper, a HVAC controller which has a bilinear system is designed to control the air temperature in building room and a saving of energy on the HVAC system. For modeling of the HVAC bilinear system, AHU(Air Handling Unit) is modeled on the control of inside-outside air flow using three dampers in a duct. A heat exchanger and the single room are also modeled by the energy conservation law. Under the modeling of the HVAC bilinear system, the control's law of the bilinear HVAC system is derived by Lyapunov's non-linear theory and Deress's the linear feedback laws for bilinear system. In this paper it was proved that the controller of the HVAC bilinear system is able to control the air temperature with a disturbance in order to get a target of temperature in the building room by the computer simulation when the control inputs regulate the air flow rate and a capacity of the heat exchanger.

  • Heating, Ventilating, and Air Conditioning(HVAC) 시스템은 난방(Heating), 환기(Ventilating), 공기조화(Air Conditioning)를 제공하는 공조시스템으로, 실내 환경의 온도, 습도 조절 및 지속적인 순환 및 여과를 통해 실내 공기 질을 개선한다. 이러한 HVAC 시스템에 이상이 생기는 경우 공기 여과율이 낮아지며, COVID-19와 같은 법정 감염병 예방에 취약해진다. 또한 장비의 과부하를 유발하여, 시스템의 효율성 저하 및 에너지 낭비를 불러올 수 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 HVAC 시스템의 이상 탐지 및 조기 조치를 위한 Transformer 기반 이상 탐지 기법의 적용을 제안한다. Transformer는 기존 시계열 데이터 처리를 위한 기법인 Recurrent Neural Network(RNN)기반 모델의 구조적 한계점을 극복함에 따라 Long Term Dependency 문제를 해결하고, 병렬처리를 통해 효율적인 Feature 추출이 가능하다. Transformer 모델이 HVAC 시스템의 이상 탐지에서 RNN 기반의 비교군 모델보다 약 1.31%의 향상을 보이며, Transformer 모델을 통한 HVAC의 이상 탐지에 효율적임을 확인하였다.

  • 본 논문은 HVAC(heating, ventilating, and air conditioning) 시스템에 대하여 Multi Fuzzy 제어기 설계를 제안한다. HVAC 시스템은 Compressor(압축기), Condenser(응축기), Evaporator(증발기), Expansion Valve 로 구성되며, 각각의 기기에 대한 제어가 독립적으로 이루여져 있다. 기존의 제어가 한 제어기를 사용한 단일방식으로 이루어지다보니 HVAC 시스템의 특성인 냉매의 상태가 달라지면 시스템 전반적으로 그 영향이 파급되는 부분까지 고려를 해 주지 못하고, 제어기의 성능이 효율적이지 못했다. 본 논문에서는 비선형성이 강하고 불확실하며 복잡한 시스템을 쉽게 제어할 수 있는 Fuzzy 제어기를 구성하여 Expansion Valve 와 Compressor 에서 동시에 제어하는 Multi 제어기를 설계한다. 제안된 Multi Fuzzy 제어기는 HVAC 시스템의 효율성과 안정성에 기초하여, 과열도와 저압을 제어한다.

  • This study deals with the BIM (Building Information Modeling)-based energy performance analysis implemented in EnergyPlus. The BIM model constructed at Revit is updated at Design Builder, adding HVAC models and converted compatibly with the EnergyPlus. We can obtain the input values about HVAC system and building environment such as HVAC system efficient, the number of air changes and energy consumption of equipment on applying GAs (Genetic algorithms). After modification about HVAC system, Optimization about HVAC system energy consumption can be analyzed. In order to maximize the building energy performance, a genetic algorithm (GA)-based optimization technique is applied to the modified HVAC models. Throughout the proposed building energy simulation, finally, the best optimized HVAC control schedule for the target building can be obtained in the form of "supply air temperature schedule". Throughout the supply air temperature schedule is applied to energy performance simulation, we obtained energy saving effect result on simulation.

  • Heating, Ventilation and hir Conditioning (HVAC) system in nuclear facility should be equipped and constructed more stable and allowable than that in common facility. The purpose of HVAC system is the maintenance of optimum working environment, the protection of worker against a contaminated air and the prevention of atmospheric contamination due to a outward ventilation, etc.. The basic scheme of a safety operation of nuclear facility is to prevent the atmospheric contamination even in low level. The adaptability of HVAC system should be taken into account in the design stage so that it is possible to modify the system which is in operation. In this study, the design requirements of HVAC system in nuclear facility and the HVAC systems in foreign countries are reviewed, and the results can be utilized in the design of HVAC system in nuclear facility.

  • 본 논문은 HVAC(heating, ventilating, and air conditioning) 시스템의 효율성과 안정성에 기초하여, 과열도와 저압을 제어하는 Multi Fuzzy 제어기 설계를 제안한다. HVAC 시스템은 Compressor(압축기), Condenser(응축기), Evaporator(증발기), Expansion Valve(확장 밸브) 로 구성되며, 각각의 기기에 대한 제어가 독립적으로 이루어져 있다. 기존의 제어가 한 제어기를 사용한 단일방식으로 이루어지다보니 HVAC 시스템의 특성인 냉매의 상태가 달라지면 시스템 전반적으로 그 영향이 파급되는 부분까지 고려를 해 주지 못하고, 제어기의 성능이 효율적이고 안정적이지 못했다. 본 논문에서는 HVAC 시스템의 효율과 안정도에 결정적인 영향을 미치는 파열도와 저압을 제어하기 위해, 비선형성이 강하고 불확실하며 복잡한 시스템을 쉽게 제어할 수 있는 Fuzzy 제어기를 구성하여, 3대의 Expansion Valve 와 1대의 Compressor 에서 동시에 제어하는 Multi 제어기를 설계한다. 제안된 Fuzzy 제어기는 이산형 lookup_table 방식과 연속형 간략추론 방식을 사용하여 제어기를 설계하고, 유전자 알고리즘(GAs)을 이용하여 최적의 Fuzzy 제어기의 환산계수를 구한다. 그리고 시뮬레이션 결과를 통해 이산형 lookup_table 방식과 연속형 간략추론 방식의 각각의 제어기를 사용한 결과를 비교한다.

  • Monitoring systems used at present to operate HVAC(Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning) optimally do not have a function that enables to detect faults properly when there are faults of such as operating plants or performance falling, so they are unable to manage faults rapidly and operate optimally. In this paper, we have developed a classified rule-based fault detection system which can be inclusively used in HVAC system of a building by installation of sensor which is composed of HVAC system and required low costs compare to the model based fault detection system which can be used only in a special building or system. In order to experiment this algorithm, it was applied to HVAC system which is installed inside EC(Environment Chamber), verified its own practical effect, and confirmed its own applicability to the related field in the future.

  • HVAC&R system costs can often be one of the most expensive components, representing approximately 15% of the total construction cost for office buildings. Despite their significant importance, there is a lack of a consistent and homogeneous framework to approximate the estimate research. This research deals with the prediction methodology of HVAC&R system cost with the aim of establishing a common idea for the analysis of the construction cost estimate. Our approach deals with the concept of an HVAC&R set that is composed of subsystems. The matrix combination analysis is examined, and total 960 HVAC&R system cost estimation can be implemented to large scale office buildings.

  • Lots of needs are being paid for how to design HVAC system in large-scale buildings. Increasing awareness of energy use is main point of this research. HVAC systems' energy characteristics are not clearly identified and understood, so the optimal design of HVAC system is very important. The energy parameters of HVAC design that are system input energy, water/air moving equipments (pumps/fans) energy and outdoor air conditioning energy for IAQ are important. The purpose of this study is to provide the basic data for energy conservational HVAC design strategies.

  • The global decrease in traditional energy resources has prompted increasing energy demand, necessitating efforts to replace and optimize energy sources. This study focuses on enhancing energy efficiency in manufacturing plants, known for their high energy consumption. Through simulations and analyses, the study proposes a temperature-based control system for HVAC (Heating, Ventilating, and Air Conditioning) operations, utilizing machine learning algorithms to predict and optimize factory temperatures. The results indicate that this approach, particularly the prediction-based free cooling algorithm, can achieve over 10% energy savings compared to existing systems. This paper presents that implementing an efficient HVAC control system can significantly reduce overall factory energy consumption, with plans to apply it to real factories in the future.
