Video Haze Removal Method in HLS Color Space (HLS 색상 공간에서 동영상의 안개제거 기법)

  • This paper proposes a new haze removal method for moving image sequence. Since the conventional dark channel prior haze removal method adjusts each color component separately in RGB color space, there can be severe color distortion in the haze removed output image. In order to resolve this problem, this paper proposes a new haze removal scheme that adjusts luminance and saturation components in HLS color space while retaining hue component. Also the conventional dark channel prior haze removal method is developed to obtain best haze removal performance for a single image. Therefore, if it is applied to a moving image sequence, the estimated parameter values change rapidly and the haze removed output image sequence shows unnatural glitter defects. To overcome this problem, a new parameter estimation method using Kalman filter is proposed for moving image sequence. Experimental results demonstrate that the haze removal performance of the proposed method is better than that of the conventional dark channel prior method.

  • The Conventional methods of color separation in computer-based machine vision offer only weak performance because of environmental factors such as light source, camera sensitivity, and others. In this paper, we propose an improved color separation method using RGB, HLS, color coordination space, and fuzzy similarity measure. RGB consists of red, green and blue, the three primary colors of light. HLS includes hue, light and saturation, the human recognition elements of co]or. A fuzzy similarity measure was employed for evaluate the similarity among fuzzy colors with the six features of RGB and HLS.

A Study on development for image detection tool using two layer voting method (2단계 분류기법을 이용한 영상분류기 개발)

  • In this paper, we propose a Internet filtering tool which allows parents to manage their children's Internet access, block access to Internet sites they deem inappropriate. The other filtering tools which like Cyber Patrol, NCA Patrol, Argus, Netfilter are oriented only URL filtering or keyword detection methods. Thease methods are used on limited fields application. But our approach is focus on image color space model. First we convert RGB color space to HLS(Hue Luminance Saturation). Next, this HLS histogram learned by our classification method tools which include cohesion factor, naive baysian, N-nearest neighbor. Then we use voting for result from various classification methods. Using 2,000 picture, we prove that 2-layer voting result have better accuracy than other methods.
