An oscillator of two lumped masses linked through a vertical spring moves forward in the horizontal direction, initially at a certain height, over a horizontal Euler beam and descends on it due to its own weight. Vibration of the beam and the oscillator is excited at the onset of the ensuing impact. The impact produced by the descending oscillator is assumed to be either perfectly elastic or perfectly plastic. If the impact is perfectly elastic, the oscillator bounces off and hits the beam a number of times as it moves forward in the longitudinal direction of the beam, exchanging its dynamics with that of the beam. If the impact is perfectly plastic, the oscillator (initially) sticks to the beam after its first impact and then may separate and reattach to the beam as it moves along the beam. Further events of separation and reattachment may follow. This interesting and seemingly simple dynamic problem actually displays rather complicated dynamic behaviour and has never been studied in the past. It is found through simulated numerical examples that multiple events of separation and impact can take place for both perfectly elastic impact and perfectly plastic impact (though more of these in the case of perfectly elastic impact) and the dynamic response of the oscillator and the beam looks noisy when there is an event of impact because impact excites higher-frequency components. For the perfectly plastic impact, the oscillator can experience multiple events of consecutive separation from the beam and subsequent reattachment to it.

본 연구에서는 논문이나 특허 등의 문서들의 인용 정보를 활용하여 연관성이 높고 중요한 특허를 추천하는 방법을 제안한다. 문서 간의 연관성 지표인 공통피인용횟수와 중요도 지표인 HITS를 적절한 형태로 결합한 뉴먼 커널로부터 두 정보의 반영 정도를 조율하는 것이 핵심이다. 제안하는 방법은 미래의 인용에 대한 예측 오차를 최소화하는 것으로 이를 통해 뉴먼 커널의 조율모수 ${\gamma}$를 적절하게 선택할 수 있다. 또한, 거대 인용 자료를 분석하기 위해 필요한 계산 기술에 대해서 자세히 논의한다. 마지막으로, 미국 등록 특허 400만 건에 대한 실증적 자료 분석을 시행한다.

We are inundated with visual media; countless such media, ranging from Hollywood blockbusters, American drama, Korean films with enormous budgets to independent films, appeal to our sensibility and engage our empathy and insight. The making of mega-hits that attract millions and a drama of viewer ratings of over forty percent lies in how persuasive the sensibility of the narratives are to an audience from a different milieu and personality. It leads to a question: how can empathy of such a varied group of people be won towards the perspective of directors and authors who come from different nationality and ethnicity to themselves? In exploring the issue, I aim to adopt a psychoanalytical view of human psychology, into consciousness and unconsciousness. Freudian psychoanalysis and Jungian analytic psychology in depth psychology underpin my analysis of visual media. It further enables my examination of unconsciousness applied to spatial design, which is elementary in visual media. In sum, this research aims to improve understanding of spatial design in films, a product of creative human consciousness, by interpreting this as an outcome of the unconscious. This is to apply the concept of collective unconscious in Jung's analytical psychology.

본 논문은 골프 동영상에 포함된 오디오 정보로부터 검출된 이벤트 사운드 구간과 골프 선수이름이 포함된 음성구간을 결합하여 선수별 이벤트 구간을 검색하는 방식을 제안한다. 전체적인 시스템은 동영상으로부터 분할된 오디오 스트림으로부터 잡음제거, 오디오 구간분할, 음성 인식 등의 과정을 통한 자동색인 모듈과 사용자가 텍스트로 입력한 선수 이름을 발음열로 변환하고, 색인된 데이터베이스에서 질의된 선수 이름과 상응하는 음성구간과 연결되는 이벤트 구간을 찾아주는 검색 모듈로 구성된다. 선수이름 검색을 위해서 본 논문에서는 음소 기반, 단어 기반, 단어와 음소를 결합한 하이브리드 방식을 적용한 선수별 이벤트 구간 검색결과를 비교하였다.

The variety of document ranking algorithms have developed to provide efficient mining results for user's query on the web environment. The typical ranking algorithms are the Vector-Space Model based on the text, PsgeRank and HITS algorithms based on the hyperlink structures and other several improvement algorithms. All these are for the user's convenience and preference. However, these algorithms are usually developed on then Horizontal and non-hierarchial web environments and are not suitable for the hierarchial web environments such as enterprise and defense networks. Thus, we must consider the special environment factors in order to improve the ranking algorithms. In this paper, we analyze the several typical algorithms used by hyperlink structures on the web environment. We, then suggest a configuration of the hierarchical web environment and also give the relations between agents of the web mining system. Next, we propose an improved ranking algorithm suitable to this kind of special environments. The proposed algorithm is considered both the hyperlink structures of the documents and the location of the user of the hierarchical web.

Dental local anesthesia is performed daily on a global scale. Adverse effects are rare, but the topic of neurotoxicity of local anesthetics deserves to be explored, as publications can be controversial and confusing. Therefore, a need was felt to address and question the evidence for potential neurotoxicity of dental local anesthetics. This review aimed to assess the studies published on the neurotoxicity of dental local anesthetics. A Pubmed^Ⓡ search was conducted between January 2019 and August 2019. This revealed 2802 hits on the topic of neurotoxicity or cytotoxicity of the following anesthetics: lidocaine, prilocaine, mepivacaine, articaine, ropivacaine, and bupivacaine. Only 23 papers were deemed eligible for this review: 17 in vitro studies, 3 reviews and 3 audits of national inquiries. The heterogeneous literature on this topic showed that all dental local anesthetics are potentially neurotoxic in a concentration and/or exposure time fashion. There seems no consensus about what cell lines are to be used to investigate the neurotoxicity of local anesthetics, which makes the comparison between studies difficult and ambiguous. However, the bottom line is that all dental local anesthetics have a neurotoxic potential, but that there is no unanimity in the publications about which local anesthetic is the least or the most neurotoxic.

This study aimed at developing tea furniture with beauty of traditional Korean furniture. As the population which drinks tea increases day by day in the light of LOHAS (Lifestyles of Health and Sustainability) era, the importance of the tea culture has been brought out and the interest of the pieces has increased with the cultural space. But the study is still not only insufficient for Korean tea cultural space, it is but also hard for us to find such pieces as holding the original culture's charm. Thus, after studying concepts and spatial qualities of the tea cultural space based on the traditional culture and after investigating the tea objects including the integral parts, a piece of tea shelf with table which hits the emotion of Korea necessary to tea cultural space was created with solid wood. As a result, if we rediscover and develop the tea pieces with beauty of traditional Korean furniture mentioned as the green furniture, the objects will be standing on tiptoe as contemporary tea pieces conveying the identity of Korea. In addition, they will have a competitiveness across the world pursuing LOHAS beyond well-being.

It is a frequent occurrence in urban traffic - a low-speed collision in which one vehicle hits the back of another. The vehicles often sustain expensive damage. Bumpers can reduce this damage, but only line up so the initial contact in an impact is bumper to bumper. Then the bumpers on the colliding vehicles have to absorb the crash energy, keeping damage away from expensive sheet metal, lights, and other components. In real world accidents, Bumper mismatches in crashes are increasing, and the resulting repair costs from low-speed collisions are escalating. In this study, we investigated the bumper rail height and analyzed their effects on repair cost. Futhermore, Our 16kph front-into-rear crash tests demonstrates bumper mismatch problem.
