HAP(High Altitude Platform) is a stationary aerial platform positioned in the stratosphere between 17Km and 22Km height and it could act as an MBS (Mobile Base Station). HAP based Network has advantages of both satellite system and terrestrial communication system. In this paper we study the deploy of multiple HAP MBS that can provides efficient communication for users. For this study, EM(Expectation Maximization) clustering algorithm is used to cluster terrestrial mobile nodes. The object of this paper is improving EM algorithm into the clustering algorithm for efficiency in variety aspects considering distance between mobile terminal units and speed of mobile terminal units, and estimating performance of HAP MBS deploy technique with use of improved EM algorithm using RWP (Random Waypoint) node mobility.

Many alloplastic materials have been used as the bony substitute in large bony defects caused by fracture, periodontitis, & cyst, etc. Nowadays Hydroxyapatite(HAP) is the most usable material as the bony substitute. The reasonable properties of HAP are nontoxic, biocompatible to host tissues & have osteoconductivity. Other bioceramic materials are recommended as the bony substitute with high success rate. We have studied the clinical use of HAP as the bony substitute in the defected area caused by cyst. The reasonalbe & successful results are obtained. The results were as followed. 1. Better prognosis was obtained in the case of HAP & bone mixed graft than HAP graft only. And the best prognosis was obtained in the case of iliac bone graft. 2. Better prognosis was obtained in Mx. than in Mn. 3. It seems that the soft tissue ingrowth into the HAP granule play an important role in the success of the HAP graft. 4. Though the flap covering the HAP granules was perforated, the relative good prognosis was obtained by re-suturing the perforeated site.
The hydroxyapatite(HAp) as a carrier the for ion exchange agent of $Ag^+$ions was prepared in semiconductor fabrication, The Ca/P molar ratio of the HAp was 1.65. The HAp is molded in shape of the antimcrobial ball and then sintered at 100$0^{\circ}C$ Ag-containing HAp(HAp-Ag) was prepared by incorporating $Ag^+$/ions in HAp crystals through an ion-exchange reaction in solutions containing 0.01M $AgNO_3$. The antimicrobial effect of HAp-Ag for bacteria such as Escherichial coli and Staphylococcus aureus has been Investigated. The concentrations of silver in the antimicrobial ball was determined by inductively coupled plasma and the amount of $Ag^+$ions was 9.0$\mu\textrm{g}$/g. The HAp-Ag exhibited excellent antimicrobial effect for bacteria such as E. coli and S. aureus. The bactericidal activity was considered to be caused by direct contact of bacteria with $Ag^+$ions in the HAp crystals. The HAp would likely to be possible as a carrier of antimicrobial metal ions such as Ag, Cu, and Zn by recycling of waste sludge in the semiconductor fabrication process.

Biocompatible Hydroxy apatite (HAp) coatings on metallic substrate by plasma spray techniques have been developed. Long-term credibility of plasma spray HAp coatings has been evaluated in physiological saline by electrochemical measurements. It was found that the corrosion resisitance of SUS316L based HAp/Ti conbined coatings was excellent even after more than 10 weeks long-term immersion. It was shown that postal heat treatment improved both the crystallinity and corrosion resistance of HAp. By lowering cooling rate during heat treatment process, less cracks produced in HAp coating layer, which lead to higher credibility of HAp during immersion in physiological saline. The ICP results showed that the dissolution level of substrate metallic ions was low and HAp coatings produced in this research can be acceptable as biocompatible materials. Also, the concentration of dissolved ions from HAp coatings with postal heat treatment was lower compared to those from samples without postal heat treatment. The adherence of HAp coatings with Ti substrate and other mechanical properties were also assessed by three-point bending test. The poor adhesion of HAp coating to titanium substrate can be improved by introducing a plasma spray titanium intermediate layer.
Hydroxyapatite (HAp)-based materials have attracted considerable attention on account of their excellent stability and recrystallization. Nanoscale HAp powders with a mean particle size of 200 nm were used to regenerate the enamel layers of damaged teeth. An artificially scratched tooth was immersed in a nanoscale HAp powder suspension in d.i. water (HAp of 70 wt%) at 37 ${^{\circ}C}$ for a period of 1~3 months. SEM and AFM showed that the scratched surface was ultimately inlaid with HAp after three months and the roughness increased from 2.80 to 5.51. Moreover, the hardness of the neo-generated HAp layer on the crown was similar to that of the innate layer. $Ca^{2+}$ and ${PO_4}^{3-}$ ions from the HAp powders dissolved in d.i. water were precipitated on the tooth to produce cemented pasteson the enamel surface due to its high recrystallizing characteristics, resulting in a hard neo-regenerated HAp layer on the enamel layer. This nanoscale HAp powder solution might be used to heal decayed teeth as well as to develop tooth whitening appliances.
Hydroxyapatite (HAp)-zirconia bioceramics, which have excellent biocompatibility with tissue of bone and tooth and good mechanical properties, were synthesized, and their properties and biocompatibility were investigated. HAp powders were synthesized with Ca/P=1.67 and pH 11 by precipitation method. A fine spherical monodispersed ZrO2 powders were prepared by metal alkoxide method, and then they were partially stabilized with 10 mol% CaO by solid state reaction at 1300℃. HAp-zirconia composites were prepared by sintering of these HAp mixed with various amount CaO-partially stabillized zirconia (PSZ). When HAp containing 15 wt% PSZ with 10 mol% CaO (PSZ(10C)) were sintered at 1250℃, it was prevented to decompose into TCP and ZrO2 was uniformly dispersed at HAp matrix. Mechanical strength of these sintered bodies were increased by addition of 15 wt% PSZ(10C), the bending strength of compacts fired at 1250℃ was 165 MPa. HAp-PSZ composites chemically bonded each other in Ringer's solution and the component of bonded layer was HAp. These composites did not prevent cell-growing and exhibit any cytotoxic effects.

Recently ion beam assistant deposition (IBAD) was successfully used to produce a dense ultra-adherent and pinhole-free hydroxyapatite (HAp) layer on alumina substrate. After that the HAp-coated alumina was immersed in 20ppm and 100ppm $AgNO_3$ solution at room temperature for 48 hours to carry out the ions exchange between $Ag^+\;and\;Ca^+$ in HAp. The obvious antimicrobial effect against E.Coli, P. Aeruginosa and S. Epidermidis was observed in the samples treated with 20ppm $AgNO_3$ Solution, In contrast to this the untreated samples did not show any bactericidal effect. Scanning electron microscope(SEM) study showed that Ag homogeneously distributed on the surface. X-ray diffraction (XRD) demonstrated that the surface structure in the samples without Ag was HAp whereas with Ag is HAp and AgCaP. It appears that silver ions exchange with calcium ions in HAp does not cause significant changes in the structure of HAp coatings.
In this study, new hydroxyapatite powder surface composites were investigated for protective effects against ultraviolet rays. Hydroxyapatite (HAp) is biocompatible and does not cause nebula phenomenon on skin. We investigated the surface modification of hydroxyapatite to improve UV block and skin usage. Dimethicone, lauroyl lysine, triethoxycaprylylsilane and silica were used as coating agents for the surface modification of HAp. To prepare the composite complex of the modified surface, the dimethicone, lauroyl lysine and triethoxycaprylylsilane were prepared by a dry process, and silica by a hydrothermal synthesis method. The HAp-silica was chosen as the best composite powder when measuring its sun protection levels. We investigated the characteristics of the surface of HAp-silica by SEM, particle size analyzer and energy dispersive spectrometry (EDS). Additionally, the stability in the formulation, UV block effect, and safety in BB creams were investigated. In conclusion, HAp-silica prepared by the modification of HAp complex surface improved the skin usage and UV block effect by enhancing the white cloudy phenomenon. These results indicate that HAp-silica may be used for UV block cosmetics.
This study investigated on the adsorption of nonpoint pollution source using the Sand, hydroxyapatite(HAP), Zeolite and mixed culture. The adsorption of nonpoint pollution source on Sand, hydroxyapatite(HAP), Zeolite and mixed culture was investigated during a series of batch adsorption experiments. After the batch absorption experiments analysed COD, T-N, T-P on adsorption water. The experimental data was analysed using the pseudo-first-order adsorption kinetic models. Langmuir and Freundlich isotherm models were tested for their applicability. The maximum adsorbed amount $(Q_{max})$ of COD were found to be sand 0.0511mg/g, HAP 0.1905mg/g, Zeolite 1.0366mg/g and Mixed media 0.7444mg/g. The maximum adsorbed amount $(Q_{max})$ of T-N were found to be sand 0.0159mg/g, HAP 0.0537mg/g, Zeolite 0.5496mg/g and Mixed media 0.1374mg/g. The maximum adsorbed amount $(Q_{max})$ of T-P were found to be sand 0.0202mg/g, HAP 0.1342mg/g, Zeolite 0.0462mg/g and Mixed media 0.1180mg/g. As a result, the mixed media was effective to remove nonpoint pollution source.
