  • This study has been conducted so as to analyse user's sensibility on lighting method, correlated color temperature and illumination by composing surface light source, which was projected onto a unit side of interior wall, ceiling and floor. 1) As an analyzed results of the sensibility images, it showed that the "snug & tender" value had got higher when the correlated color temperature got lower. And the "energetic, cheerful" value had got higher when the level of illuminance got lower. Furthermore, the "unusual, unique" showed higher value on the illuminated floor circumstance. Finally, the higher correlated color temperature had been, "energetic, cheerful" value also got higher. 2) As a result of multi-regression analysis, it was found that 3000K and 100lx had the biggest influence on 'snug' image while 5,500K, 500lx had the biggest influence on 'energetic' image. In addition, it was found that the illuminated floor had a big influence on 'unusual' image while 500lx had the biggest influence on 'refined' image.

  • For solving the optimal routing problem (ORP) in large data networks, and algorithm called the hierarchical aggregation/disaggregation and decomposition/composition gradient project (HAD-GP) algorithm os proposed. As a preliminary work, we improve the performance of the original iterative aggregation/disaggregation GP (IAD-GP) algorithm introduced in [7]. THe A/D concept used in the original IAD-GP algorithm and its modified version naturally fits the hierarchical structure of large data networks and we would expect speed-up in convengence. The proposed HAD-GP algorithm adds a D/C step into the modified IAD-GP algorithm. The HAD-GP algorithm also makes use of the hierarchical-structure topology of large data networks and achieves significant improvement in convergence speed, especially under a distributed environment. The speed-up effects are demonstrated by the numerical implementations comparing the HAD-GP algorithm with the (original and modified) IAD-GP and the ordinary GP (ORD-GP) algorithm.

  • After the period of the Three Kingdoms Korean transportation architecture had been changed from the characteristics of the administration organization supporting the kings ruling system and gradually the characteristics as transportation architecture had cleared and diversified in accordance with the functions and characteristics of it. With this it was found that Korean transportation architecture like YukSa(驛舍), ChamYuk(站驛), GaekSa(客舍), JinSa(津舍), DoSa(渡舍), WonWoo(院字), JuMak(酒幕) and etc. had been developed variously and the architectural characteristics had developed with the functions and characteristics of transportation architecture. Some of them ,for example YukSa, ChamYuk, GaekSa, JinSa, DoSa, had the characteristics of the government office, so they had fundamental dignity of Korean wooden architecture on tile roof. But the WonWoo which was used by all of the people from the king to the people, had the characteristics of half-government and half-private. And the space of WonWoo was divided by the social position, the sex and the difference of temperature between summer and winter. And it was mostly located at the place away from the haunts of men, the form of it was the mud wall hut of the straw-thatched cottage like Sinhyewon of Mungyungsaejae and it was different from the station building of the characteristics of government office.

  • This study conducted multiple logistic regression to investigate what factors and how much they influence problem drinking. In this study, problem drinking was defined by AUDIT and NAST. Most of the studies on problem drinking focused on socio-demographic factors even though problem drinking is caused by bio-psycho- socio-cultural factors. The current study tried to estimate a logistric regression models including socio-demographic, environmental, psychological, economical, emotional, values, and MMPI factors. The best fit model suggested that problem drinking, which was determined by AUDIT, of college students were related to sociodemographic, environmental, psychological, and emotional factors. Students who were male, whose father, brother or sister had been abused alcohol or drug, students thought that his/her mother had not trusted him/her, who worried about his/her health, smokers, who had strong impulsivity, who had three or more feelings among the sorts of feelings, such as sadness, loneliness, boring making him/her feel to drink alcohol were more likely to had drinking problem. Students who were indulgers-who could not help buying things immediately after they saw goods they like, who were smokers, who had low ego-control, who had three or more feelings among the sorts of feelings, such as become excited, anxiousness, healthy were more likely to be dependent on alcohol. The study suggested intervention programs for college students to prevent problem alcohol drinking and alcohol dependency.

  • The purposes of this study were to investigate the differences of self-efficacy and appearance management behavior according to demographic variables, to disclose the relationship between self-efficacy and appearance management behavior, and to examine the characteristics that affect appearance management behavior of male and female college students. The research method was a survey method using a questionnaire. The subjects were 632 college students (male: 302, female: 330) living in Seoul area. Statistical analysis methods were factor analysis, Cronbach's ${\alpha}$-reliability coefficient, t-test, ${\chi}^2$-test, one-way ANOVA, Duncan's multiple range test, Pearson's product-moment correlation coefficient, and multiple regression analysis. The self-efficacy factor derived four categories including self-control efficacy, social self-efficacy, physical self-efficacy, and task difficulty preference. The college students who were in higher social stratification and older had more appearance management behavior, and those who had lower task difficulty preference and lower physical self-efficacy had more plastic surgery management. Both men and women who had higher self-control efficacy had more clothing management. Women who had higher self-control efficacy, social self-efficacy, and task difficulty preference had more appearance management expenses.

  • In hemiplegic gait, walking speed is an important factor to evaluate treatment effect. The purpose of this study was to describe and compare kinematic variables during differant speed hemiplegic gaits. Six hemiplegic patients(47-69 years old) after stroke and age - matched six volunteers in good health(51-61 years old) were studied. The patients were sorted into two groups, depending on their self - speed of walking : fast speed group(3 patients, $0.74\pm0.14m/s$) and slow speed group(3 patients, $0.29\pm0.09m/s)$. The results were following. 1. In the hip joint, the fast group had lower mean value than normal but had similar pattern to normal. The slow group had continuous flexed pattern. 2. In the knee joint, the fast group had similar mean value and pattern to normal. The slow group had continuous flexed pattern. 3. In the ankle joint, the two group had dorsiflexed pattern. The fast group had similar pattern to normal. Thus, the fast group was similar gait pattern to normal.

  • A total of 333 calves were evaluated for carcass quality traits including: dressing percentage (DP), yield grade (YG), marbling score (MS), fat thickness (FT) and percent body fat (PF). Mating types included straightbred Angus (A) and Santa Gertrudis (S), the reciprocal crosses of these two breeds and Gelbvieh (G) ${\times}$ Angus. The year of birth, slaughter group and dam breed were found to have greatly influenced DP. Mating types had no effect on DP. For YG, sire breed, sire within sire breed and slaughter group were important. Crossbreds of A ${\times}$ S had the highest YG followed by A purebreds. Crossbreds of G ${\times}$ A had the lowest YG. Sire breed, dam breed and the slaughter group has significantly affected the MS. Sire breed, sire nested within sire breed and slaughter group were found to have greatly influenced the FT. Sires and dams of A produced the greatest FT while sires of G produced the lowest. Slaughter group 2 (slaughtered at 433 days of age) had a greater FT than group 1 (slaughtered at 393 days of age). For PF, sire breed, sire within sire breed, dam breed and slaughter group had significant effects. A purebreds had the largest PF while S purebreds and G ${\times}$ A crosses had the least.

  • Numerical simulation based on the Reynolds Averaged Naviere-Stokes (RANS) Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) method had been carried out with the commercial code ANSYS CFX. The structured grid and SST $k-{\omega}$ turbulence model had been adopted. The impact of non-condensable gas (NCG) on cavitation performance had been introduced into the Schnerr and Sauer cavitation model. The numerical investigation of cavitating flow of marine propeller E779A was carried out with different advance ratios and cavitation numbers to verify the numerical simulation method. Tip clearance effects on the performance of pumpjet propulsor had been investigated. Results showed that the structure and characteristics of the tip leakage vortex and the efficiency of the propulsor dropped more sharply with the increase of the tip clearance size. Furthermore, the numerical simulation of tip clearance cavitation of pumpjet propulsor had been presented with different rotational speed and tip clearance size. The mechanism of tip clearance cavitation causing a further loss of the efficiency had been studied. The influence of rotational speed and tip clearance size on tip clearance cavitation had been investigated.
