Pardosa pseudolaevitarsis n. sp. and Hygrolycosa umidicola Tanaka, 1978 belonging to Lycosidae are described from Korea. To date, fourteen species in the genus Pardosa C. L. Koch, 1847 have been described from Korea. H. umidicola belongs to Hygrolycosa Dahl, 1908 was once described from Korea, but the previous description of this species could not provide adequate scientific evidence for adding H. umidicola to the Korean spider fauna. Pardosa pseudolaevitarsis n. sp. is similar to P. laevitarsis Tanaka & Suwa, 1986 in the shape of its epigyne and palp, but can be distinguished by the followings: epigynal atrium small; spermathecae extending to the end of atrium; shape, location and orientation of fertilization duct in epigyne and internal genitalia; blunt basal spur of median apophysis in palp; number, shape and arrangement cheliceral teeth on both margins. Both species were collected using pitfall traps on a ridge between rice fields and seem to prefer habitats with relatively high humidity.

Microbial transformation of a potent progestin, norethisterone (17��-hydroxy-19-nor-17α-pregn-4-en-20-yn-3-one) (1) was carried out by using two filamentous fungi Aspergillus niger and Penicillium citrinum. Biotransformation of 1 with A. niger yielded a hydroxylated transformed product 10��,17��-diydroxy-19-nor-17α-pregn-4-en-20-yn-3-one (2) whereas 11��,17��-diydroxy-19-nor-17α-pregn-4-en-20-yn-3-one (3) was obtained through microbial transformation of 1 by P. citrinum. It is the first report of their production from 1 by using A. niger and P. citrinum with complete 1H- and 13C-NMR assignment. The structures of both metabolites were characterized by various spectroscopic techniques and reported data.

The eggs of most animal species are surrounded by an extracellular matrix known as chorion, egg envelope, egg coat, or zona pellucida. Development of fish embryo usually takes several days in an aquatic environment. During embryonic development, the chorion must protect embryo from physical damage and microbial infection in the exposed aquatic environment. (omitted)

This paper aims to propose a new steps of hypothesis testing using analysis process and improvement process in the six sigma DMAIC. The six sigma implementation models proposed in this paper consist of six steps. The first step is to establish a research hypothesis by specification directionality and FBP(Falsibility By Popper). The second step is to translate the research hypothesis such as RHAT(Research Hypothesis Absent Type) and RHPT(Research Hypothesis Present Type) into statistical hypothesis such as $H_0$(Null Hypothesis) and $H_1$(Alternative Hypothesis). The third step is to implement statistical hypothesis testing by PBC(Proof By Contradiction) and proper sample size. The fourth step is to interpret the result of statistical hypothesis test. The fifth step is to establish the best conditions of product and process conditions by experimental optimization and interval estimation. The sixth step is to draw a conclusion by considering practical significance and statistical significance. Important for both quality practitioners and academicians, case analysis on six sigma projects with implementation guidelines are provided.
