Meso-scale or micro-scale forming of sheet metal parts has been recently considered as one of the important forming technologies with growing demand on meso/micro products for electric or medical devices. Experimental investigation on the cylindrical meso-cup drawing with hemispherical punch is carried out to examine the limit drawing ratio and thickness distribution of drawn cups. The working parameters chosen in this study are blank diameter, die-corner radius and blankholding force. It is found from the experiments that the limit drawing ratio of 2.4 can be achieved in the case of hemispherical cup drawing and uniform thickness distribution in wider region can be obtained compared with the results of conventional cup drawing.

Objective : This study was designed to evaluate the effect of Miso Facial Acupuncture on Orbicularis Oculi muscle. Methods : Two men and four women with Facial nerve palsy were recruited. Miso Facial Acupuncture on Orbicularis Oculi muscle was performed two times a week for three weeks. The effects of the treatment were evaluated by H-B scale, Y-system and clinical symptom. Results : Before treatment with Miso Facial Acupuncture, three patients showed H-B scale improvement and the other three patients had no change. and four patients showed Y-system improvement and the other two patients had no change. In six cases, the patients had improvement in clinical symptom related with Orbicularis Oculi muscle function. Conclusion : Miso Facial Acupuncture on Orbicularis Oculi muscle showed significant improvement in facial nerve palsy.

This paper describes the ground surface potential profiles near the object to be grounded. The hemisphere water tank was used to simulate the. scale model. As a result, the ground surface potential near the ground electrode was considerably raised. In particular the ground surface potential at the just upper part of ground rod was higher than other part. The ground surface potential was lowered with increasing the buried depth of ground rod.

This research is to develop a seismic response analysis method for a spent fuel storage cask. FEM model is built for the test model of 1/8 scale spent fuel dry storage cask using available 3D contact conditions in ABAQUS/Explicit. Input load for this analysis os a seismic wave of El-centro earthquake, and the friction and damping coefficients in the analysis condition we obtained from the test result. Penalty and kinematic contact methods of ABAQUS are used for mechanical contact formulation. The analysis method was verified for rocking angle obtained by seismic response tests. The kinematic contact method with an adequate normal contact stiffness showed a good agreement with tests.

An efficient and simple fermentation process was developed for the production of ${\gamma}$-aminobutyric acid (GABA) by Lactobacillus sakei B2-16. When the L. sakei B2-16 was cultivated in the rice bran extracts medium containing 4% sucrose, 1% yeast extract, and 12% monosodium glutamate, the maximum GABA concentration reached 660.0 mM with 100% conversion yield, showing the 2.4- fold higher GABA concentration compared with the modified MRS medium without the rice bran extracts. The GABA production was scaled-up from a laboratory scale (5 l) to a pilot (300 l) and a plant (5,000 l) scale to investigate the application possibility of GABA production to industrial fields. The production yields at the pilot and plant scales were similar to the laboratory scale using rice bran extracts medium, which could be effective for the low-cost production of GABA.

An attempt has been made to analyze time series of $H_\alpha,\;H_\beta,\;and\; H_\gamma$ line profiles taken from a 3B/X6.1 flare which occurred on Oct. 27, 1991 in an active region, NOAA 6891. A total of 22 sets of $H_\alpha,\;H_\beta,\;and\; H_\gamma$ taken with a low and non-uniform time resolution of 10-40 seconds were scanned by PDS with absolute intensity calibration to derive the physical characteristics of the material in the flare chromosphere. Our . results are as follows: (1) The lower Balmer lines observed during the flare activity are broadened by Stark effect. (2) At the peak of the flare activity, the electron temperature of the Balmer line emitting region reaches up to 35000K and its geometrical thickness increases to a scale of $10^4km$, suggesting that high energy particles penetrate deep into the photospheric level.

This study examines a clinical progress of treatment for the sequelae of facial palsy through Jung-ahn acupuncture. The patient in this case was diagnosed with facial paralysis a few years ago. The patient was treated with Korean medicine and Western medicine, but was given up without improvement. The paretic symptom was found out in left side of the face. Also facial spasm and epiphora caused by blepharoptosis were existed. The patient got 8 times Jung-ahn acupuncture treatment from September 18th, 2014 to September 26th, 2014. House-Brackmann facial nerve grading system(H-B scale) was implemented. On the first time of the treatment, H-B scale was Grade Ⅴ and facial nerve grading was 2/8. Facial spasm and epiphora caused by blepharoptosis in lower eyelid were appeared on facial expressions and conversation. After total 8 treatments(therapies), H-B scale was Grade Ⅲ and facial nerve grading was 5/8. The symptoms of facial paralysis and blepharoptosis were improved. Jung-ahn acupuncture is estimated to be effective in facial palsy sequela. More cases are required to develop treatment of facial palsy sequela.
