The present study was designed to elucidate the recent prevalence of the intestinal protozoa and to demonstrate the relationship on prevalence of the surveyed population with their academic career and living conditions. During the period from May to July 1981, total 2, 735 fecal specimens were collected from the inhabitants of 11 areas in Gyeong-gi Do(province) near by Seoul City, and 6 areas in Jeonra Bug Do, southwestern part of Korea. The samples were fixed with SAF solution and were examined by formalin-ether sedimentation technique. The results are summarised as follows: 1, Overall positive rate of intestinal protozoa was 11. l% : Gyeong-gi Do, 10.7%; Jeonra Bug Do, 11.7%. 2. Five species of intestinal protozoa were detected: Entamoeba histolytica 0.69% : Entamoeba cali 5.52%; Endolimax nana 2.71%, Giardia lamblia 2.23%; lodamoeba biitschlii 0.18%. 3. Highest positive rates among the examined areas were recognized: Incheon City of Gyeong-gi Do, 26.7%; Im-sil Gun(county) of Jeonra Bug Do, 19.9%. 4. By species, E. nana showed the highest prevalence rate (13.74%) in Incheon City, and E. histolytica (2.37%) and E. coli (9.95%) in Im-sil Gun. 5. Prevalence of E. histolytica in rural areas was higher than in urban areas. 6. No significant difference in the prevalence rate by sect and age was recognized, although the group under 10 years and over 60 years were lower than in other age groups. 7, The highest positive rate of E. histolytica was observed in pauper group and significant linearity of prevalence rate of E. histozytica by monthly income was observed. 8. The inhabitants who used conventional latrine showed higher prevalence, 11.5%, than the group of inhabitants who used modified privy. 9. Although no significant difference of positive rate was recognized by academic career, but the lowest prevalence rate was observed in college graduates. 10. Over half of the surveyed population, 64.8% has no experience on anthelmintic practice. Number of anthelmintic application resulted no difference in prevalence. In conclusion, prevalences of intestinal protozoa in Gyeong-gi Do and Jeonra Bug Do decreased remarkably in comparison with those of one decade before. However, economic level, academic career and anthelmintic administration seemed no essential reasons for such declination.

In this paper, we estimated the economic impacts of Korea-EU FTA on the agricultural sector in GyeongGi-Do. In particular, we estimated the economic impacts of agricultural production decrease resulting from Korea-EU FTA for 31 sub-regions in GyeongGi-Do by 15 industrial sectors. We employ a regional economic impact model combining a regional input-output model with a spatial allocation model. We found that the size of inter-industrial impacts are quite different across regions. Our results suggest the importance of agricultural and industrial policy considering the impacts of industrial sectors at the regional level.

Over the years, there has been much research conducted on quadratic curves and the set of points with the generalized notion of eccentricity in a plane with metrics such as taxicab distance or Chinese-checker distance. On the other hand, polar taxicab distance has been newly proposed on the polar coordinate system, a type of curvilinear coordinate system, to overcome the limitation of pre-existing metrics in terms of describing curved routes. Previous study has looked into the fundamental properties of this metric. From this point of view, we study the quadratic curves and the set of points with the generalized notion of eccentricity in a plane with polar taxicab distance.

The contents of Yuk Mee Jee Dae Ron(六微旨大論) are as follows. 1. It prescribe the Sa Chun(司天) Jae Chun(在泉) Jwa Gan Gi(左間氣) Woo Gan Gi(右間氣). 3. It prescribe the Pheo Gi(標氣) Bon Gi(本氣) Juoog Gi(中氣). 4. It prescribe the Youk BO(六步) and the Sheung Gi(承氣). 5. It prescribe the Hamg Hae Sheung Jae(亢害承制) which is feedback control system between each Yuk Gi(六氣). 6. It prescribe the Sae whae(歲會), the Chun Boo(天符) and the Tae Il Chun Boo(太一天符). 7. It prescribe the active time of Yuk gi(六氣) within a year and Sae gi Whae Dong(歲氣會同). 8. It prescribe the Gi Gieo(氣交) which human beings and all the creation are living on. 9. It prescribe the Bo(步) which are composed of Chun Gi(天氣) and Jee Gi(地氣). 10. It prescribe the Duk(德) Wha(化) Yooung(用) bean(變) which are created by quarrel of Yuk Gi(六氣). 11. It prescribe the outbreak of the Sa Gi(邪氣). 12. It prescribe the Sin Gi(神機) and Gi Rib(氣立). 13. It prescribe all the creations existence are up to the Seoung Gang Chul Ip(升降出入). Like the past, the Yuk Mee Jee Dae Ron(六微旨大論) is include very important concep of the medicine. So the study should be continued with minute attention.
