  • For estimating compressive strength of concrete, non-destructive test has conducted generally. It used experimental equation to calculate compressive strength from construction. This study investigated experiment to apply non-destructive test, based on fresh property, compressive strength and ultrasonic pulse velocity of high performance concrete. And it conducted to compare various proposed equation.

Splenic Artery Bleeding into the Extraperitoneal Space Mimicking Mesenteric Injury: A Rare Case of Blunt Trauma

  • Splenic injury is a common result of blunt trauma, and bleeding occurs mainly inside the splenic capsule and may leak into the peritoneal space. Herein, we report a case where active bleeding occurred in the splenic artery and only leaked into the extraperitoneal space. This is the first case of this phenomenon in a trauma patient in the English-language literature. Bleeding passed through the peritoneum, leaked into the anterior pararenal space, and continued along the extraperitoneal space to the prevesical space of the pelvis. Therefore, on the initial computed tomography (CT) scan, the bleeding appeared to be in the left paracolic gutter, so we suspected mesenteric bleeding. However, after the CT series was fully reconstructed, we accurately read the scans and confirmed splenic injury with active bleeding. If there had been a suspicion of bowel or mesenteric injury, surgery would have been required, but fortunately surgery could be avoided in this case. The patient was successfully treated with angioembolization.

Dynamic analysis of the micropipes reinforced via the carbon dioxide adsorption mechanism based on the mathematical simulation

  • In this paper, the dynamic characteristics of a composite cylindrical beam made of a mechanism of carbon dioxide absorption coated on the tube core are investigated based on the classical beam theory coupled with the modified couple stress theory. The composite tube structures are assumed to be uniform along the tube length, and the energy method regarding the Hamilton principle is utilized for generating the governing equations. A powerful numerical solution, the generalized differential quadrature method (GDQM), is employed to solve the differential equations. The carbon dioxide trapping mechanism is a composite consisting of a polyacrylonitrile substrate and a cross-link polydimethylsiloxane gutter layer. Methacrylate, poly (ethylene glycol), methyl ether methacrylate, and three pedant methacrylates are all taken into account as potential mechanisms for capturing carbon dioxide. The application of the present study is helpful in the design and production of microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) and the different valuable parameters, such as the length-scale parameter, rate of section change, aspect ratio, etc., are presented in detail.

웹툰에서 1화 마지막 칸과 2화 첫 칸의 연결 관계 (The Connection between the Last Panel of 1st Episode And the First One of 2nd on 'Webtoon')

  • 만화는 '연속된 칸의 배열'이라는 명제에서, 이 연구는 출발한다. 연속된 두 칸 이상의 이미지가 연결되어 어떻게 이야기를 전달하는 지, 앞 칸과 뒤 칸의 연결 관계는 어떠한 지 등에 관한 연구에서 비롯된다. 우리나라 만화는 웹툰의 시대를 지나가고 있다. 과거 출판만화 시대의 단행본이나 잡지를 거쳐, 온라인이나 모바일에 게재되는 만화를 즐기는 시대로 이미 접어들었다. 웹툰 또한 연속된 칸의 배열로 구성된다. 단지 그 방향과 모양, 길이 등이 출판만화와 다른 점을 보인다. 이에 연구자는 연속된 두 칸의 연결관계를 다시 한 번 규명하려 한다. 특히 한 화 혹은 한 에피소드에서 칸의 연결에 관한 연구를 넘어서, 연재되는 두 화로 확장시켜 앞 화의 마지막 칸과 다음 화의 첫 칸의 연결 관계가 어떠한 지 살펴본다. 이 연구에서는 포털사이트 네이버와 다음에 연재하는 웹툰 100여 작품을 분석하였다. 특히 작품의 1화 마지막 칸과 2화 첫 칸을 분석하였다. 첫 화를 분석한 이유는 독자를 사로잡는 가장 큰 비중을 차지하는 것이 연재 첫 화라는 전제에서 시작한다. 분석의 최대 관심은 두 칸이 연결성 측면에서 '연결'인가 또는 '단절'인가를 분석하였다. 또한 2016년 현재 대표적인 모바일만화 플랫폼 레진코믹스와 탑툰의 작품을 20여 편 분석하여 웹툰과 모바일만화에서 칸 연결의 차이점을 찾아보았다. 연재만화의 한 화의 마지막 칸은 그 화를 정리하는 기능과 동시에 다음 화에 대한 궁금증을 불러일으키게 하는 역할을 갖는다. 또한 다음 화의 첫 칸은 전 화의 이야기를 이어가는 임무를 부여받는다. 이러한 이유로 이 두 칸은 적어도 대개 일주일이라는 시공간적 간극을 연결시켜야 한다. 첫 칸이 전 화의 이야기를 떠 올리게 하는 것이 쉬운 연결 기술일 것이다. 하지만 그렇지 않은 경우도 존재한다. 이것은 온전한 작가의 몫으로, 작가는 어느 지점에서 한 화를 마무리하고 다음 화로 넘어갈지 고민한다. 따라서 이 연구는 연재되는 만화의 시공간적인 간극을 칸이 어떻게 연결하는 지에 관한 유형을 통계로 제시함으로서 칸 연출의 연구 범위를 칸과 칸의 연결에서 에피소드와 에피소드의 연결로 확장시키는 효과를 가질 것으로 기대한다. 또한 기술적으로나 만화 연출 상으로 두 화를 어떻게 연결하는 지에 관한 고민을 다소 해결할 것으로 기대된다.

도로 흐름폭 변화에 따른 차집유량 분석 (Analysis of Intercepted Flow according to Change of Flow Width in Gutter)

  • 밀집이 심한 도시는 불투수 면적이 많아 흘러나온 빗물이 빠르게 도로를 타고 한쪽으로 모이게 된다. 이는 도로에 설치된 빗물받이로 차집이 되지 못한 많은 노면 유출수로 인해 측구에서의 흐름 폭이 넓어져 정체 노면수를 증가시켜 교통체증과 미끄러움으로 인한 사고를 유발한다. 이에 본 연구에서는 차집유량 산정식을 제시하기 위해서 간선도로와 고속도로의 최대 종경사를 반영하여 2~10 %의 도로 조건을 반영하였고, 측구 횡경사는 일반도로 횡경사인 2 %를 선정하였다. 도로 차선조건은 중앙차선과 보도를 경계를 2, 3, 4 차선을 선정하였으며, 실험유량은 설계 빈도 상황을 고려하여 실제 도로 조건의 5년, 10년, 20년, 30년의 설계빈도 유수유출량을 실험유량으로 환산한 결과 1.36 l/s~3.96 l/s의 유량을 10개로 나누어 수리실험을 진행하였다. 또한, 측구로 들어오는 유입유속과, 흐름 폭을 고려한 식을 제시하였다. 실험 결과 종경사 증가에 따라 흐름 폭은 증가하고, 차집율은 감소하는 경향을 보였다. 이에 본 연구에서는 IBM SPSS Statistics 24 프로그램으로 회귀분석하여 설계빈도에 따른 우수 유출량, 도로의 종경사를 반영한 흐름 폭과 유입유속의 빗물받이 차집유량 산정식을 도출하였다. 산정된 도출식은 도로에서의 빗물받이 설계에 기초자료로 활용될 것으로 판단된다.

도상두께 변화에 따른 유도상교량 궤도 진동저감의 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study of Diminution of Ballast Track Bridges Vibration due to the Variation of Ballast Depth)

  • Railway bridges are divided into ballastless and ballast track bridges. The ballast abrasion occurs on the ballast track upon bridges more than soil roadbed because the track vibration occurs a lot in the ballast track upon bridges due to girder vibration when a train's weight is loaded onto track even though the identical ballast is used. The phenomena of mud pumping especially, which occurs when drainage is not properly secured for heavy rain, leads to the increase of maintenance work load and the decline of ride comfort. There are countermeasures such as ballast change, installation of cross-drainage for poor drainage, gutter establishment, ballast lifting methods, ballast mats and resilient sleepers laying for the mud pumping. The ballast thickness range in domestic railroad construction rule is uniformly set up according to the design speed of railroad and passing tonnage of train without considering field conditions which is considered in foreign railroad companies. The purpose of this study is to verify the effect of vibration decrease by measuring the acceleration, displacement and ride comfort of ballast track with the change of ballast thickness on the ballast track bridges and to suggest the optimal height of ballast on the Yocheon Bridge built for the test in Honam Line.

The Management of Nonpoint Source and Storm Water Reduction with LID Techniques in Inchon City, South Korea

  • Impervious areas have been expanded by urbanization and the natural structure of water circulation has been destroyed. The limits of centralized management for controlling storm water runoff in urban areas have been suggested. Low impact development (LID) technologies have been promoted as a crucial alternative, establishing a connection with city development plans to build green infrastructures in environmentally friendly cities. Thus, the improvement of water circulation and the control of nonpoint source were simulated through XP-SWMM (storm water and wastewater management model for experts) in this study. The application of multiple LID combination practices with permeable pavements, bioretention cells, and gutter filters were observed as reducing the highest runoff volume by up to 70%. The results from four different LID installation scenarios indicated that permeable paving is the most effective method for reducing storm water runoff. The rate of storm water runoff volume reduced as the rainfall duration extended. Based on the simulation results, each LID facility was designed and constructed in the target area. The LID practices in an urban area enable future studies of the analysis of the criteria, suitable capacity, and cost-efficiency, and proper management methods of various LID techniques.

울산시 동천 비점오염원 제어효과 (Effects of controlling plans of non-point pollutant sources in dongcheon of Ulsan)

  • In this study, we suggested 4 plans to reduce non-point pollutant sources in Dongcheon and analyzed their controlling effects by water quality modeling, XP-SWMM. To do this we identified the influx of non-point pollutant sources to the initial rainwater through the water quality survey in the river and analyzed the causes of them at major locations, and suggested 4 kinds of plans reducing non-point pollutant sources. Plans reducing the non-point pollutant sources through cleaning the industrial road around the river(plan A), through a separate treatment facilities like the gutter(plan B), through installing treatement facilities(plan C), or through combing plan B and C(plan D) were analyzed using XP-SWMM model. The analysis showed that plan A, B, C and D reduced non-point pollutant sources average 21.7 %, 24.7 %, 49.3 %, 56.7 % respectively. Therefore, the water quality pollution in Dongcheon due to the influx of non-point pollutant sources is considered to be reduced effectively though cleaning the road, installed at the exits of paddy or factory basins, invasion type facilities or equipment-type facilities.

진행성 유방암에 대한 한양방 병용 치료 치험 1례 (A Case Study of an Advanced Breast Cancer Patient Treated with a Combination of Traditional Korean Medicine and Chemotherapy)

  • Although patients with breast cancer receive standard treatments, they often experience recurrence or metastasis of tumors. Therefore, patients seeking treatment with traditional Korean medicine (TKM) in addition to conventional treatment have increased. We present a case of 46-year-old female with recurring breast cancer. She underwent surgeries and various hormone therapies since being diagnosed in 2007. Upon follow-up examination, she had metastatic lesions on the lung and multiple bones in 2015 and 2016. She received TKM treatments from May 2017 with Aromasin and Afinitor. However, hepatic metastasis was found after two months, so she started Capecitabine with TKM. After about two months, the liver nodules disappeared and a seeding nodule in the right paracolic gutter was decreased. After two months, the tumor response was stable disease. Back pain due to bone metastasis was improved. We suggest that combination treatment of TKM and chemotherapy is a promising method for treating breast cancer.

하수관망의 나무뿌리 침입 리스크 평가 (Risk Evaluation of Tree Root Intrusion into Sewer Network)

  • The objective of this study is to investigate and evaluate that a roadside tree root intrudes sewer network systems. Two approaches were performed to assess the characteristics of tree root intrusion. First, the characteristics of tree roots that had invaded sewers were directly observed by means of closed-circuit television inspection robot. Second, the intrusion proportions of tree root into rain gutters in the sampling area were investigated. As tree species of low intrusion proportions, the results indicated that Ginkgo biloba Linn. and Acer buergerianum Miq. were 1.7% and 4.3%. On the other hand, tree species of high intrusion proportions were Metasequoia glyptostroboides Hu et Cheng, Ulmus davidiana var. japonica Nakai and Zelkova serrata Makino as 22.2%, 20.4%, and 17.6% respectively. In particular, sewers and gutters around Zelkova species should be the focus of maintenance work because of the high proportion of these trees on roadsides.
