군산 연안 해역 항행 위해 요소 분석 (1) (Analysis on the navigation risk factors in Gunsan coastal area (1))

  • The Coastal VTS will be continuously constructed to prevent marine traffic accidents in the coastal waters of the Republic of Korea. In order to provide the best traffic information service to the ship operator, it is important to understand the navigation risk factor. In this study, we analyzed the navigational hazards of Gunsan coastal area where the coastal VTS will be constructed until 2020. For this purpose, major traffic flows of merchant ships and density of vessels engaged in fishing were analyzed. This study was conducted by Automatic Identification System (AIS) and Vessel Pass (V-PASS) data. The grid intervals are 10 minute ${\times}$ 10 minute (latitude ${\times}$ longitude) based on the section of the sea. A total of 30 sections were analyzed by constructing a grid. As a result of the analysis, the major traffic flows of the merchant vessels in the coastal area of Gunsan were surveyed from north to south toward Incheon, Pyeongtaek, Daesan, Yeosu, Pusan and Ulsan, and from east to west in the port of Gunsan Port, 173-3, 173-6, 173-8, 183-2, 183-5, 183-8, 183-3, 184-1 and 184-2. As a result of the study, the fishing boats in Gunsan coastal area mainly operated in spring and autumn. On the other hand, the main traffic flow of merchant ships and the distribution of fishing vessels continue to overlap from March to June, so special attention should be paid to the control during this period.

  • The aim of this study is to indicate that how to select the releasing fishes for the nourishment of fisheries resources in small ranching area around the Gunsan coastal seas. The collected data were analysed, and revealed that the proper fisheries for releasing around the seas are Limanda Yokohame, sebastes schlegeli, paralichthys olibaceus, black porgy and little clam.

  • Gunsan-Janghang Harbor is located at the mouth of Gum River, on the central west coast of Korea The harbor and coastal boundaries are protected from the effects of the open ocean by natural coastal islands and shoals due to depositions from the river, and two breakwaters. The navigation channel commences at the gap formed by the outer breakwater and extends through a bay via a long channel formed by an isolated jetty. For better understanding and analysis of wave transformation process where a wide coastline changes appear due to on-going reclamation works, we applied the spectral wave model including wind effect to the related site, together with the energy balance models. This paper summarizes comparisons of coastal responses predicted by several numerical wave predictions obtained at the coastal waters near Gunsan-Janghang Harbor. Field and numerical model investigations were initially conducted for the original navigation channel management project. We hope to contribute from this study that coastal engineers are able to use safety the numerical models in the area of port and navigational channel design.

군산연안 수질환경의 특성과 장기변동 (Long-term Variation and Characteristics of Water Quality in the Gunsan Coastal Areas of Yellow Sea, Korea)

  • 1972년부터 2006년까지 30년 동안 군산연안 수질환경의 특성과 장기변동 경향을 조사하였다. 6개 정점에서 수층(표층과 저층)별 계절별로 년 4회 수온, 염분, 부유물질, 화학적산소요구량, 용존산소, 영양염류에 대해 조사한 결과, 표층수와 저층수 간에는 화학적산소요구량 및 인산인을 제외한 모든 조사항목에서 표 저층 간의 차이가 컸었다. 공간적 분포특성은 수온과 용존산소 및 부유물질은 정점 간 차이가 없었으나, 그 외 조사항목에서는 정점 간 차이가 컸으며 주성분 분석결과 금강 하구역인 정점 1과 중간해역인 정점 2-4 및 비교적 외해측인 정점 5-6의 세 그룹으로 구분되었다. 계절별로는 화학적산소요구량과 부유물질을 제외한 조사 항목에서는 유의성이 입증되었고, 정점별로 차이가 있어 내측은 계절에 따른 변화가 큰 상태이었고 외해측으로 갈수록 변화폭이 줄어드는 경향이었다. 24년 동안 수질의 장기 변동은 표층 네 그룹, 저층 다섯 그룹으로 구분되어 항목에 따라 부분적으로 차이기 있었으나 전반적으로 염분, 수소이온농도 및 용존산소는 점차 증가하는 경향이었고 화학적산소요구량은 불규칙한 변곡선 형태이며, 영양염류는 증가하는 경향으로 근래에 약간 안정화되었다가 2006년에 다시 약간 증가하는 특징을 보여 경인연안, 아산연안 및 천수만과 마찬가지로 육수 유입의 원인에 기인한 것으로 사료된다.

군산 연안 해역에서의 부영양화 제어에 관한 연구 (A study on Eutrophication control in coastal area of Gunsan)

  • Gunsan coastal area is one of region increasing pollution problems. To improve water quality, the reduction of these nutrients loads should be indispensible. In this study, the three-dimensional numerical hydrodynamic and ecosystem model were applied to analyze the processes affecting the eutrophication. In field survey, the average concentrations of dissolved inorganic nitrogen (DIN) and dissolved inorganic phosphorus(DIP) at surface waters were found to be 0.43mg/$\ell$ and 0.03mg/$\ell$ respectively, which were exceeding second grade of water quality criteria. In hydrodynamic modelling, the comparison between the simulated and observed tidal ellipses showed fairly good agreement. The ecosystem model was calibrated with the observed data in study area. The simulated results of DIN were fairly good coincided with the observed values within relative error of 32.39%, correlation coefficient(r) of 0.99. In the case of DIP, the simulated results were fairly good coincided with the observed values within relative error of 24.26%, correlation coefficient(r) of 0.82. The simulations of DIN and DIP concentrations using ecosystem model were performed under the conditions of 20∼80% reductions for pollutant loading. At simulation results, concentration of DIN and DIP were reduced to 20∼80% and under 10% in case of the 80% reduction of pollutant loading, respectively.

A Study on the Landscape Characteristics for Palkyung of the West Coast and the Islands in Saemankeum Area

  • This study aimed to clarify meanings of Palkyung(八景) in different regions which can be considered as the prototype of the region's cultural landscape and also to confirm the change process by pointing out landscape characteristics and finally, to provide a foundation for the regions to establish their own identities, so they could be provided against the changes from developments in other areas. The relationship between the characteristics of landscape values and the components of 32 Palkyung in 4 places those are Gogunsan, Wido, Gunsan and Byunsan under Saemankeum area have been analyzed and evaluated from operational point of view to clarify the structure of the landscape concept. Some important differentiation points would be the sunset of the West Sea, sailing boats and the sceneries related to fishing as they are in the West Sea Islands and the coastal regions; and it clearly reflects the local customs and the characteristics of the landscapes. Each of Gogunsan, Wido and Gunsan Palkyung has 2 distance views with 4km of visible area while Byunsan Palkyung has only 1; and it is considered that because it is mountain area. Most of the Byunsan Palkyung has close range views except for Seohaenakjo and there are around 4 close range views in other areas. There were 4 landscape dominated influence areas each in Gunsan and Byunsan, which means that there are comparatively more close to middle range views. Moreover, each region contains 2 to 3 views of psychological influence but as mentioned, Byunsan has only 1 view of psychological influence. Therefore it is very important and valuable thing to consider the scenic relationship, preservation and reconstruction of Palkyung when planning the project.

퍼지적분 모델을 이용한 연안해역의 항행 안전성 평가에 관한 연구 (Evaluation of the Navigational Safety Level in the Korean Coastal Waterway using Fuzzy Integral)

  • Marine Casualties cause the loss of hmm lives, properties and marine pollution. The prevention of marine accidents has been a major topic in marine society and various policies and countermeasures have been developed, applied to the industries. The coastal VTS and navigational aids are considered as one of the effective methods to promote marine safety but they need relatively huge amount of budgets to build. Thus prior to establishing these coastal VTS and navigational aids, it should be evaluated the navigational safety level in the coastal waterways in concern. So far as human beings are concerned, there are many types of fuzziness in the evaluation of navigational safety level. In order to reflect these fuzziness on this evaluation, this paper introduces the fuzzy measure and integral to represent the fuzziness in the evaluation process. Therefore this paper aims to develop the method for this evaluation using the fuzzy measure and integral. In this paper, Korean coastal area is divided into 8 sectors and evaluated the priority for the needs of coastal VTS and navigational aids. The results are found as order as Mokpo, Yosu, Pohang, Busan, Inchon, Geoje, Gunsan, Donghae coastal area.

동계 한국 서부연안지역의 적설과 해양기상요소와의 관계 (Relationship between Ocean-Meteorological Factors and Snowfall in the Western Coastal Region of Korea in Winter)

  • 본 연구에서는 동계에 한랭 건조한 대륙성 기단이 서해를 통과할 때 서해 연안지역인 인천, 군산, 목포의 적설량과 해양기상요소와의 관련성에 대하여 조사하였다. 한반도 서해 연안지역인 인천, 군산, 목포의 동계(12월~2월) 평균 적설량은 군산이 12.7cm로 가장 많았으며, 목포(9.0cm), 인천(7.8cm) 순으로 나타났다. 특히, 세 지역에서 적설량은 12월과 2월에 지역적인 차이를 나타내었다. 이와 같은 지역적인 적설량의 차이는 대륙성 고기압의 확장과 관계하였다. 대륙성고기압은 12월에 중국 화남지방에 중심을 두고 산동반도 및 한반도 서부연안지역을 통과하고, 1월에는 중국 화북지방에서 한반도 중부지방으로 확장하며, 2월에는 중국의 북쪽지방에서 발해만과 요동반도를 통과하여 한반도의 중부지방으로 확장하였다. 이 대륙성고기압의 확장과 관련하여 인천은 적설이 2월이 12월보다 많았고, 군산과 목포는 12월이 2월보다 많은 적설을 나타내었다. 세 지역에서 대설은 열손실이 100 $w/m^2$ 이상일 때 나타났다. 또한, 대설은 대륙성 고기압과 저기압의 배치가 서부지역에 전선이 형성되는 서고동저형일 때 발생하였고, 이때 바람은 4-8m/sec 세기의 북서풍 또는 북풍이 우세하였다.

군산하구 해역에서의 부영양화 모델링 (Eutrophication Modelling in Gunsan Estuary)

  • Gunsan coastal area is one of region increasing pollution problems. One of the most important factors that cause eutrophication is nutrient materials containing nitrogen and phosphorus which stem from excreation of terrestial sources. At this study, the three-dimensional numerical hydrodynamic and ecosystem model, which was developed by Institute for Resources and Environment of Japan, were applied to analyze the processes affecting the eutrophication. The residual currents, which were obtained by integrating the simulated tidal currents over 1 tidal cycle, showed the presence of a typical. Density driven currents were generated westward at surface and eastward at the bottom in Geum estuary area where the fresh waters are flowing into. The ecosystem model was calibrated with the data surveyed in the field of the study area in annual average. The simulated results of DIN were fairly good coincided with the observed values within relative error of 32.39%. correlation coefficient(r) of 0.99. In the case of DIP, the simulated results were fairly good coincided with the observed values within relative error of 24.26%, correlation coefficient (r) of 0.82. The simulations of DIN and DIP concentrations were performed using ecosystem model under the conditions of 20 ∼ 80% pollution load reductions from pollution sources. In study area, concentration of DIN and DIP were reduced to 20∼80% and under 10% in case of the 80% reduction of the input loads from fresh water respectively. But pollution loads from sediment had hardly affected DIN and DIP concentration. For the environment management of coastal areas, in case of Kunsan area, the most important pollution sources affecting eutrophication phenomenon were found to be the input loads from fresh water.

우리나라 연안의 해상교통관제시스템 설치를 위한 기초연구 시뮬레이션에 의한 우리나라 연안의 해상교통량 추정 ( Estimation of the Traffic Flow in the Korea Coastal Waterway by Computer Simulation)

  • From the point of view of safety of life and property at sea and the protection of the marine environment, the Vessel Traffic Management System along the Korea coastal waterway is inevitably introduced. But the establishing priority per area must be evaluated under the restricted budget. In this case, the estimated traffic flow has a major effect on priority evaluation. In the former paper , an algorithm was proposed for estimating the trip distribution between each pair of zones such as harbours and straits. This paper aims to formulate a simulation model for estimating the dynamic traffic flow per area in the Korea coastal waterway. The model consists of the algorithm constrined by the statistical movement of ships and the observed data, the regression analysis and the traffic network evaluations. The processed results of traffic flow except fishing vessel are summarized as follows ; 1) In 2000, the traffic congestions per area are estimated, in proportion of ship's number (tonnage), as Busan area 22.3%(44.5%), Yeosu area 19.8%(11.2%), Wando-Jeju area18.1%(6.8%), Mokpo area 14.9%(9.9%), Gunsan area 9.1%(9.3%), Inchon area 8.1%(7.7%), Pohang area 5.5%(8.5%), and Donghae area 2.2%(2.1%). 2) For example in Busan area, the increment of traffic volume per annum is estimated 4, 102 ships (23 million tons) and the traffic flow in 2000 is evaluated 158, 793 ships (687 million tons). 3) consequently, the increment of traffic volume in Busan area is found the largest and followed by Yeosu, Wando-Jeju area. Also, the traffic flow per area in 2000 has the same order.
