Results: The updated nursing practice guideline for prevention of VTE was consisted of 16 domains, 46 subdomains, and 216 recommendations. The recommendations in each domain were: 4 general issues, 8 assessment of risk and bleeding factors, 5 interventions for prevention of VTE, 18 mechanical interventions, 36 pharmacological interventions, 36 VTE prevention starategies for medical patients, 25 for cancer patients, 13 for pregnancy, 8 for surgical patients, 7 for thoractic and cardiac surgery, 16 for orthopedic surgery, 10 for cranial and spinal surgery, 5 for vascular surgery, 13 for other surgery, 3 educations and information, and 2 documentation and report. For these recommendations, the level of evidence was 32.1% for level I, 51.8% for level II, and 16.1% for level III according to the infectious diseases society of America (IDSA) rating system. A total of 112 new recommendations were developed and 49 previous recommendations were deleted. Conclusion: The updated nursing practice guideline for prevention of VTE is expected to serve as an evidence-based practice guideline for prevention of VTE in South Korea. It is recommended that this guideline will disseminate to clinical nursing settings nationwide to improve the effectiveness of prevention of VTE practice.
Purpose: This study aimed to evaluate the adherence to the clinical guideline for endotracheal suction in nurses working at intensive care units (ICU) and to identify the characteristics of nurses with good adherence. Methods: This study was a descriptive study to evaluate the pattern of adherence and its related factors to endotracheal suction. One hundred fifty five nurses working at ICU participated in this study. We used a questionnaire developed based on American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC) guidelines and other associated factors from previous studies. Results: Around half of the participants reported that their adherence to the clinical guideline was poor. Items deviated from the recommended guideline were reasons for initiating a suctioning, applied suction pressure ranged from 20 to 200mmHg, and applied catheter size from 6 to 17 french. Other factors deviated were the depth of inserted catheter, and inappropriate use of normal saline instillation. The most significant factor was related to hospital; the misused or misled clinical protocol. Conclusions: The adherence to the clinical guidelines of the endotracheal suction in ICU nurses was not appropriate, which might contribute to the patient health outcomes. More enhanced continuing education as well as hospital regulation is warranted.

This research shows the improved methodology which can be applied for universities which want to set up their GHG inventories. In other words, we tried to make guideline in problems due to the unique characteristics of universities. This guideline will help university to deal with the problems they are facing: For example university has less enforcement in operational control compared to the business sector. And it also has various usage of facilities, although these facilities are not maintained by same principal agent. The difference between owner and manager is an another reason for difficulty in setting group organization. The improved and adaptable methods responding to these problems were suggested from this research. The results of this research says the new definition of function for various actors in university for quality control and quality assurance. Because the suggestions made in this research which concerns with criteria for building of universities' GHG inventories were all read by current legislation, there is an anticipation that this can be an official guideline that can be applied to the universities right away.

The guideline for the living environment was developed for 6 items; village structure(adequate size, lot, outer space for household), village landscape(allocation, space composition), road system and transportation(parking lot in village, placement of bus stops, village trail, public transportation, road and pedestrian system), common living facilities and common space(number, size, location & placement, plan type, planning type of common facilities), transfer space, individual housing(type, size, planning type). The guideline for the social environment was developed for 3 items; village making and establishment(resident participation type, resident participation tool, residents' construction participation) and resident education in the course of planning, resident participation(gathering resident opinion, decision making, composition of construction committee, community newsletter).
Modern society is suffering from the phenomena of low-fertile, ultra-aging, and low-growth. On this social flow, most social classes undergo vulnerable situation and their overall housing and living condition have difficulties. So far many housing guidelines for diverse population were developed, recently, inclusive 'Customized Housing Design Guideline for Childcare Families' in terms of maintaining family and society has been completed. The purpose of this study is to analyze User Benefit Characteristics of 'Customized Housing Design Guideline for Childcare Families'. The research subjects are essential 140 guidelines appropriate to children's development and parents' care. The research method is contents analysis and the analysis criterion are 4 concepts of the User Benefit Criteria- 'Behavioral Facilitation (BF)', 'Physiological Maintenance (PhM)', 'Perceptual Maintenance (PM)', 'Social Facilitation (SF)'. 3 people inter-raters reliability was established. Altogether, the guidelines were rated in the order of PhM>PM>BF>SF, and these characteristics are similar as common universal design guidelines. This showed the supportability of spatial characteristics in the guidelines related to user's special behaviors. Also, the results show the importance of outdoor space planning for safe social interactions. The supportable characteristics of 'Customized Housing Design Guideline for Childcare Families' could be expected to efficiently apply for new housing development in the future.
It is urgently needed to develop programs supporting lifelong education for nurses and students of nursing, which are not restricted by time or space and use personal computers or smartphone. The purpose of this study is to develop CCC(Clinical Care Classification) System into a education program and provides guideline to support clinical tasks for students of nursing. Sign system currently used for traditional heritage villages in Korea does not have any well-defined concept and method so that somewhat improper signs can be developed like for general urban or tourism area. In this paper, we present a new method or guideline of sign system based on DPD(disaster prevention design) concept for our traditional heritage villages. We can enhance both safety of residents and satisfaction of visitors throughout this guideline. According to our investigations on the heritage villages, sign systems in Korea are mainly developed for tourism, on the other hand, sign development in Japan mainly focuses on prevention or protection against big disasters like earthquakes. Considering residents and their safety, we can submit a proper guideline to develop sign system for our traditional heritage villages based on the concept of DPD which can be applied to each space. Asan 'Oeam Village' and Beppu 'Onsen Village' are used as application sites compared between Korea and Japan.

The general housing causes various environmental problems on the squandering of the resources and the production of the construction wastes, as it was removed and rebuilt because of the short-life in 20-30 years after constructing. The short-life of the general housing makes the rebuilt-term short and takes a negative attitude in maintenance. In the other hand, the long-life housing is constantly dwelling house that considers the carbon reduction among the world issues, Support and Infill. The long-life housing promotes the durability of Support and maximize the variability of Infill through separation of Support & Infill. It's useful dwelling house in maintenance as well as various life-cycle and life style. As the maintenance guideline of dwelling house is used for long-life housing, there is not distinction considering who controls maintenance and there is not conception considering alteration, variability and convenience. Consequently, it is required to develop the proper maintenance guideline applied maintenance process for long-life housing. Therefore this study shows efficient maintenance guideline for manager in long-life housing.
