제주도 연안 연속식 갈치채낚기 조획시스템의 개량에 관한 기초적 연구 (A basic study on the improvement of the continuous type fishing system for largehead hairtail hand line in coastal area of Jeju island, Korea)

  • This experimental study was carried out to obtain the base data for saving the man power in the fishing operation of largehead hairtail hand line by using the continuous type hand line system with a rotary device which could make a main line move automatically. In order to solve the twists and entangling on the main line happened during operating test, the resistance board was suspended at the end of the main line at sea. As the result, there were no problems of tangling and so on due to up and down moving of a main line. According to the control of a fixed angle of guide roller, it was possible to prevent the main line to be separated from a side roller and a guide roller. In addition, PVC tube between a guide roller and a side roller enabled a main line to be moved smoothly without any entanglement.

  • In walking guide robot, a guide vehicle detects an obstacle distribution in the walking space using range sensors, and generates a 3D grid map to map the obstacle information and the tactile display. And the obstacle information is transferred to a blind pedestrian using tactile feedback. Based on the obstacle information a user plans a walking route and controls the guide vehicle. The algorithm for 3D detection of an obstacle distribution and the method of mapping the generated obstacle map and the tactile display device are proposed in this paper. The experiment for the 3D detection of an obstacle distribution using ultrasonic sensors is performed and estimated. The experimental system consisted of ultrasonic sensors and control system. In the experiment, the detection of fixed obstacles on the ground, the moving obstacle, and the detection of down-step are performed. The performance for the 3D detection of an obstacle distribution and space mapping is verified through the experiment.

자동 광 정렬시스템 및 최적 광 정렬알고리즘의 개발 (Development of Automatic Optical Fiber Alignment System and Optimal Aligning Algorithm)

  • Optical fibers are indispensable fer optical communication systems that transmit large volumes of data at high speed. But the aligning technology under the sub-micron accuracy is required for the precise axis adjustment and connection. For the purpose of precise alignment of the optical arrays, in this research, we have developed the 12-axis(with 8 automated axis and 4 manual axis) automatic optical fiber alignment system including the image processing-based searching system, the automatic loading system using the robot and the suction toot and the automatic UV bonding system. In order to obtain the sub-micron alignment accuracy, two 4-axis PC-based motion controllers and the two 50nm resolution 6-aixs micro-stage actuated by micro stepping motors are adopted. The fiber aligning procedure consists of two steps. Firstly, the optical wave guide and an input optical array are aligned by the 6-axis input micro-stage with the IR camera. The image processing technique is introduced to reduce primary manual aligning time and result in achieving the 50% decrease of aligning time. Secondly, the IR camera is replaced by the output micro-stage and a wave guide and two optical arrays are aligned simultaneously before the laser power intensity delivered to the optical powermeter reached the threshold value. When the aligning procedure is finished, the wave guide and arrays are W bonded. The automatic loading/unloading system is also introduced and the entire wave guide handing time is reduced significantly compared to the former commercial aligning system.

  • Facility data is created throughout the design and construction phase. But the most facility managers bear significant costs that arise from the lack of interoperability with facility lifecycle. This paper is concerned with the way to collect facility data using BIM technology. The aim of this paper is to suggest BIM data modeling guide for the facility management using the information that need to be delivered from design and construction phase to operation and management phase. The BIM data modeling guide focus on the properties of mechanical equipment. It is to be hoped that this study will contribute to collect facility data from as-built BIM data and to build facility management system database without difficulty.

모바일 하버 컨테이너 적재 유도 시스템에서 롤러 가이드 적용 및 해석 (Analysis of a Roller Guide Container Stacking System Applicable to the Mobile Harbor)

  • The purpose of this study is to evaluate a simulation model of a stacking guidance system (SGS) with a roller guide applicable to the mobile harbor. The study used a small-scale model (1/20) made of wood with rollers in order to compare the dynamic analysis with experiment results. The law of similarity was applied for the validation of the scaled model. In order to construct a more realistic simulation model, the damping coefficient of the dynamic model was adjusted to 0.5 Ns/mm for the wood-to-wood contact condition based on the experimental results. Using this validated model, dynamic simulations were also carried out for containers of 20, 30, and 40 tons. The results showed that the reaction force of the roller guide was increased from 74.7 kN to 91.2 kN as the weight of container increased. For the design of a roller guide for SGS, the results obtained in this study can be used to reduce the reaction force by employing a rubber roller or a highly damped rotational joint.

  • A light guide panel is an element of the LCD backlight module that is often used for the display of compact electronic devices. In this study, a laser marking system is proposed to fabricate light guide panel, which can be replaced of other manufacturing methods such as silk printing, stamping, and v-cutting methods. The objectives of this research are the establishment of laser marking system, evaluation of laser marking parameters, understanding marking process, application to PMMA, reliability test and quality inspection. A 50W $CO_2$ laser (CW) was used to perform different experiments in which, the influence of some processing parameters (average power, scanning speed) on the geometry and quality of groove pattern was studied. The width of the etched grooves increases with increasing a laser power and decreasing a scan speed. In order to analyze surface characteristics and optical properties (luminance, uniformity), SEM photography and BM7 (luminance measuring system) were used. As a result, the optimal conditions of the process parameters were determined.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 스마트폰 상에서 이용 가능한 실용적인 위치 기반 서비스로 개인 맞춤형 소극장 안내 시스템을 개발하는 것이다. 본 연구에서는 이를 위해 GPS 수신기를 내장한 스마트폰에서 이용 가능한 대학로 소극장 안내 시스템을 설계 구현하였다. 이 시스템은 GPS를 이용하여 사용자의 현재 위치를 자동으로 파악하고 이를 지도에 맵핑하여 표시한다. 또한 파악된 사용자의 현재 위치를 중심으로 가까운 극장 및 공연에 대한 개인 맞춤형 정보를 효과적으로 제공하도록 설계 구현하였다. 구현된 시스템은 현장 실험을 통한 보정 작업을 통하여 실제 상황에서 효과적으로 이용 가능하도록 최적화하였다.

  • Water lubricated guide bearing was newly released and has been applied to actual hydro turbines with vertical shaft. As a result, they can have not only high bearing performance but environmental advantages in meeting the demand for reducing river pollution by oil leakage from oil lubricated guide bearing. The PTFE composite guide bearing was tested by experimental equipment operated under conditions similar to those of actual hydro turbines. Circumferential and axial tilting bearing segments help to improve the bearing performance and efficiency due to low friction loss in the bearing system. Furthermore, bearing cooling systems could be eliminated and maintenance periods could be extended, thus the initial investment and operating costs of the hydroelectric power plant are reduced.

  • An analysis and numerical computations relating to the coupling of optical modes between two neighboring waveguides are discussed. The waveguides are fabricated with Lithium Niobate as guide 1 and Vanadium Oxide as guide 2. In a wave guide system that incorporates two lossless guides, a complete transfer of power from one guide to another can occur when the waveguides are (1) identical or (2) the modes in each guide have identical phase constants. Here we discuss the coupling effects when the guides are dissimilar with respect to both geometry and losses. In thers results, we show that power transfer can occur between the two guides, one lossy and the other lossless, provided the phase matched condition is satisfied. When properly coupled, the power attenuation varies according to the amount of coupling.

  • The linear motion(LM) guide using ball bearing has many advantages compared with conventional sliding guides. Therefore, LM guide using ball bearing has been widely used to increase the accuracy of the position of a system. This research investigates dynamic characteristics of LM guide through mainly linear analyses. Linear analysis is accomplished by Lagrange equation and the finite element method. And another trial that performs nonlinear analysis about one mode(bouncing mode) of LM guide from Hertzian contact theory is accomplished in the latter half of this research. Through nonlinear analysis we could observe the softening characteristic due to the Hertzian contact nonlinearity.
