  • The soil nailing system at permanent slope reinforcement is used with various facing methods in Korea. Also, pressure-injected grout technique is variously applied to many structures. However, most design of the pressure-injected grout technique have been carried out empirically because of complicated mechanisms associated with the behavior of surrounding soils and the hardening process of cement grout. Therefore this study, a newly modified soil nailing technology named as the PGSN (Pressure Grouting Soil Nailing) system with fabric form is developed to increase the global stability. Up to now, the PGSN system has been estimated mainly focusing on an establishment of the design procedure. In the present study, numerical study are carried out to evaluate potential failure surface and minimum factor of safety including facing stiffness and expanded radius of cemented grout by SSR (Shear Strength Reduction) technique. Also, results of numerical analysis are carried out for the typical section of soil nails slope using $FLAC^{2D}$ program for expanded effective radius by pressure grouting.

  • Almost prefounded columns for top-down construction certainly have construction tolerances in plan and plumbness. Therefore, it is very difficult to connect prefabricated beams to prefounded columns at each floor level after excavation by usual top-down connection method and this usual connection method leads to long construction time, increasing cost and decreasing quality. This paper presents a new method for connecting prefabricated beam to prefounded column with GROUT-JACKET CONNECTION SYSTEM consisting of sleeve, bearing-shear bands and grout. Details and illustrations of the connections and applications by GROUT-JACKET CONNECTION SYSTEM for the top-down construction are also included in this paper.

Characteristics Analysis of the Heat Exchange Rate according to Soil Temperature and Grout Material using Numerical Simulation

  • The ground source heat pump (GSHP) system has attracted much of attention, because of its stability of heat production and the high efficiency of the system. Performance of the heat exchanger is dependent on the soil temperature, the ground thermal conductivity, the operation schedule, the pipe placement and the design temperature. However, in spite of the many variables of these systems, there have been few research on the effect of the systems on system performance. In this study, analysis of the heat exchange rate according to soil temperature and grout material was conducted by numerical simulation. Furthermore, the heat distribution around the ground heat exchanger was presented on the different conditions of grout and underground temperature by the simulation.

  • In generally, grouting consists of injecting a suspension or solution into the voids of soils. The low slump mortar grout has been used in America since 1950's. The Compaction Grouting, the injection of a very stiff under relatively high pressure, form a cylinderical grout support pile. The grout generally does not enter soil pores but remains in homogeneous mass that gives controlled displacement either to compact loose soils, or for lifting of structures, or both. In this paper, on the case of the reinforcement construction of 00 plant that the foundation's bearing capacity is insufficient and is to reinforce the foundation, a study has been peformed to analyze the effectiveness of the ground improvement. The bearing capacity of the Compaction Pile has been verified by the S.P.T and the settlement of the improved ground has been monitored rising the magnetic extensometer.

  • There is an increasing demand for using rock anchors as foundations in many geotechnical engineering structures such as transmission towers, dams, etc. For investigate the behavior and strength of rock anchors, in-situ pull-out tests were carried out. From the tests, various forms of failure of rock anchors were observed. Ultimate capacity of each failure modes of 1) Tendon failure, 2) Interface failure(tendon-grout interface, sheath-grout interface and grout-rock interface), 3) Combined interface failure, was obtained by varying the parameters such as diameter and length of tendon, grout strength, and quality of rock.

  • The pulse powered anchor is a way to increase the capacity of ground anchor. The pulse powered anchor is an underreamed anchor by using high voltage electrokinetic pulse energy. In this study, property of cement grout for pulse powered underreamed anchor have been carried out. This study is what is the cement grout of pulse powered, for minimize seperation or sweep of cement grout when the soil layer is saturated with water.

  • In this study, it evaluate mecahnical performance and impact resistance performance of fiber reinforced concrete, fiber reinforced mortar and preplace grout mortar. steel fiber, nylon fiber and polypropylene fiber are reinforced 1vol.% 2vol.% 10vol.% by each fiber type. It evaluate impact resistance performance to use projectile 10mm of 400m/s velocity. As a result, mechnical performance and impact resistance performance of fiber reinforced preplace grout mortar are improved a lot by 10% fiber reinforced ratio.

Study on the characteristics of grout material using ground granulated blast furnace slag and carbon fiber

  • This study aims to evaluate the applicability of a grout material that is mixed with carbon fiber, biogrout, ground granulated blast furnace slag (GGBS) powder and cement. Uniaxial compressive strength tests were performed on homo-gel samples at days of 1, 3, 7, 14 and 28. In addition, the variation of permeability with the mixing ratios was measured. Based on the uniaxial compressive strength test, it was confirmed that the uniaxial compressive strength increased by 1.2times when carbon fiber increased by 1%. In addition, as a result of the permeability test, it was found that when the GGBS increased by 20%, the permeability coefficient decreased by about 1.5times. Therefore, the developed grout material can be used as a cutoff grouting material in the field due to its strength and cut-off effect.

침투 및 할렬주입에 의한 지반보강 효과에 관한 연구 (Analysis of ground reinforcement effect using fracturing grouting)

  • 본 연구에서는 절리를 포함한 터널주변 암반의 안전성 강화 및 지하수 유입 억제공으로 사용되는 침투그라우팅에 대한 모형화 기법을 제시하고 관련 매개변수 해석을 실시하였다. Bingham 모형을 적용한 시멘트 그라우팅재는 정상류 흐름으로 가정하여 해석의 편의를 도모하였으며 UDEC을 이용한 해석결과, 절리의 두께 및 주입압이 침투그라우팅에 의한 확산범위를 결정짓는 주요 변수임을 확인하였다. 침투그라우팅 모형을 근간으로 할렬그라우팅 해석을 위한 수치모형을 제안하였으며 암반의 인장강도와 점착력이 할렬의 주요변수임을 입증하였다. 한편, 주입후 지반보강효과를 정량적으로 검토하기 위하여 직교 이방성 물성을 계산할 수 있는 알고리즘을 제시하였으며 이 결과 주입후 약 3~4배 정도의 강성도 증진효과를 확인하였다. 향후 본 연구결과는 그라우팅재 주입에 의한 투수계수 저감효과 혹은 지하수 억제공법 등의 설계기법에 적용될 수 있으며 관련 실험도 수행될 예정이다.
