In addition, after having students experience virtual reality contents, the effects of practical training applied with virtual reality technology were derived and the difference in actual training was compared and analyzed through T-test. Then, the reliability of the study was improved by analyzing the effects of practical training using virtual reality by using the Analytic Hierarchy Process for the expert group who can consider the overall situation. Based on the results of the analysis, the development plan of military counseling training combined with virtual reality technology and the supplements of current military counseling education were presented as policy implications.

This study examines the effect of a counselor's supervision experience on counselor development, and verifies the moderating effect of supervision satisfaction on the relationship between the counselor's supervision experience and counselor development. Data were collected via survey administered to 299 counselors who were actively engaged in counseling practice for institutions and public organizations in Seoul, Gyeonggi, Gangwon, and Jeolla regions, such as schools, universities, and professional counseling services. Data analysis was conducted using SPSS version 21.0. The results of the analysis are as follows. First, the amount of participation in individual supervision and group supervision had a significant effect on counselor development. Second, age and years of counseling experience had major effects on counselor development. Third, when the moderating effect of supervision satisfaction on the relationship between the amount of participation in individual or group supervision and counselor development was verified, it was found that supervision satisfaction had a moderating effect on the relationship between the amount of participation in group supervision and counselor development (regarding the level of understanding with cases). The result can be interpreted as meaning that a counselor's positive supervision experience has a direct influence on the outcome and quality of counseling services. Based on these results, proposed implications are presented regarding counseling supervision.
The purpose of this study was to develop a motivational interviewing (MI) training program to improve competency in communication and to effect the evaluated changes that would occur in dental students' counseling techniques as result of the training in the program. The study proceeded through the program via role-play practice, which was explained effectively during the MI program training process. A convenience sample of 43 fourth-year dental hygiene students was recruited. Twenty-two students were randomly assigned to the intervention group and 21 to the control group in the order of recruitment. The theoretical lecture was delivered over 3 hours and the practice was done in parallel by applying cases occurring in clinic settings. The practice was technical training, partner practice, and small group practice. The intervention group received three hour MI lecture while the control group received no lecture. Evaluation through role-play practice was separated according to "researcher's viewpoint," "counselor's role viewpoint," and "patient's role viewpoint." The results of the analysis showed that the intervention group had higher MI skills and ability than the control group. Furthermore, program participants showed positive impressions to the MI training program. The use of coaching sessions improved the MI techniques and counseling skills of dental hygiene students learning MI. The effect of the application of the MI training program was that the MI training improved counseling skills and interviewing abilities. Moreover, continuous training and feedback enhanced MI techniques and core skills. Training using lectures in parallel with practice rather than education through theory alone improved students' techniques. Application of role play through the combined method of the MI program was confirmed by an effective training method.
