This paper presents a framework for the self-organization of swarm systems based on coupled nonlinear oscillators (CNOs). In this scheme, multiple agents in a swarm self-organize to flock and arrange themselves as a group using CNOs, which are able to keep a certain distance by the attractive and repulsive forces among different agents. A theoretical approach of flocking behavior by CNOs and a design guideline of CNO parameters are proposed. Finally, the formation scenario for cooperative multi-agent groups is investigated to demonstrate group behaviors such as aggregation, migration, homing and so on. The task for each group in this scenario is to perform a series of processes such as gathering into a whole group or splitting into two groups, and then to return to the base while avoiding collision with agents in different groups and maintaining the formation of each group.
We synthesized three different derivatives of bis-spiropyran using simple organic reactions with high yields. BSP1, a derivative of bis-spiropyran having a connection at the position 6' and BSP2, a derivative of bis-spiropyran having a connection at the position 5 and BSP3, a derivative of bis-spiropyran containing a dithienylethene group between two spiropyran moieties were synthesized. The optical properties of BSPs were characterized. UV-Vis spectra showed that BSPs exhibit reversible photo-isomerization and the efficiency of photo-isomerization is highly dependent on the position of nitro group. BSPs having nitro group at para position of hydroxy group showed the higher efficiency of photo-isomerization that the one having nitro group at ortho position. The optical microscope images obtained under ultraviolet or visible light exposure demonstrated that the formation of nanorods can be reversibly controlled by optical signal.
Quarternized poly(4-vinyl pyridine)s have been prepared by the reaction of poly (4-vinyl pyridine)s (Mw=50 kg/mol and 200 kg/mol) and alkylating agents varying the carbon numbers of the alkyl groups (m):dimethyl sulfate (m=1) as well as bromoalkane (m= 5, 8, 12, 16, and 22) was used as an alkylating agent. The degree of alkylation was determined by using an elemental analysis and NMR spectroscopy. As a result, polyelectrolytes were obtained by the almost full alkylation of poly (4-vinyl pyridine)s. The critical aggregation concentration (CAC) was determined by measuring the change of turbidity occurred by addition of sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) into aqueous solution of quarternized poly-(4-vinyl pyridine)s, and the dependence of molecular weight of polymer, the length of N-alkyl group and concentration of NaCl upon CAC was investigated. As a result, as the molecular weight or the length of alkyl group was increased, less amount of SDS Gould induce the aggregation.

In this paper, we propose an induced linguistic ordered weighted harmonic mean(ILOWHM) operator. The ILOWHM operator is more general type of aggregation operator, which is based on the LHM and LOWHM operators. Based on the LOWHM and ILOWHM operator, we develop an approach to group decision making with linguistic preference relations. Finally, an application of the approach to group decision making problem with linguistic preference relations is pointed out.
Purpose: This study was performed to evaluate anti-thrombotic effects of Hyulbuchukeotanggamibang(HBCT). Methods: It was measured the effects which was given to blood flow rate through the regular volume of glass tube after the blood was diluted five times with ACD soulution. Antithrombotic effect was calculated as a percentage of the experimental animal figure protected from the paralysis of hind legs or death of the mouse that is caused from the administration of platelet aggregation regent. Results: 1. HBCT showed a safety in toxicity of liver. 2. In experiment of anti-thrombotic effect, HBCT inhibited the platelet aggregation induced by ADP and epinephrine, collagen, arachidonic acid as compared with the control group. 3. HBCT inhibited pulmonary embolism induced by collagen and epinephrine (inhibitory rate is 50%). 4. HBCT increased platelet number and fibrinogen amount significantly and also HBCT shortened PT and APTT significantly as compared with the control group in thrombus model induced by dextran. 5. HBCT increased blood flow rate insignificantly as compared with the control group in vivo. Conclusion: These results suggest that HBCT can be used for treating diverse female diseases caused by thrombosis.

This paper is channel assignment and scheduling techniques for efficient wireless AMI network. In AMI system, the multi-channel cluster network to be proposed defines the communication channel between NC (Network Coordinator) and CDA (Clustered Data Aggregator) as the network channel. CDA and OMD(Out Meter display) and communication channel between SMD(Smart Meter Device) are defined as the group channel. AMI network of the multi-channel cluster based in which the network channel and group channel is mixed increases the administration efficiency through the physical/logical consumer channel clustering. The reliability of inspection data through the channel use distinguished between the adjacent cluster is enhanced. In addition, the fast aggregation of data is possible and the size of a metering network is increased through the channel allocation of the multichannel cluster based.
The demand for the production of gene-defective mice from embryonic stem (ES) cells is increasing to clarify decisive gene function in vivo. Although blastocyst injection is widely used to generate ES cell-mediated knockout mice, coculture method has been alternatively used because of several advantages, such as low cost and simple procedure. Thus, this experiment was designed to demonstrate the feasibility of the coculture method using J1 ES cells, which are known to be efficient for blastocyst injection. Eight-cell embryos were harvested from 2.5 days post-coitum (dpc), denuded with acid tyrode's solution, and transferred onto trypsinized J1 ES cells. Aggregation was carried out following two typical methods, which are simple coculture method and aggregation in groove prepared by aggregation needle. Successfully aggregated-embryos were developed to blastocysts for 24 h and transferred into uterus of pseudo-pregnant foster mother. Chimeric offspring was judged by coat pigmentation. In this study, we could obtain chimeric mice from all the two aggregation methods, but the chimera production efficiencies in coculture using groove were three times higher at least than those in the other group. In conclusion, these observations suggest that coculture method should be available for production of knockout mice from J1 ES cells. Presently, the germ-line transmission rates of the chimeras produced from the two methods are under investigation.
Pine needles have long been used as a traditional health-promoting medicinal food in Korea. To investigate the effects of pine (pinus densiflora) needle extracts on blood flow and serum lipid improvement were assessed in vivo. 8 week-old Sprague Dawley strain rats were divided into four groups of seven rats each; CON, 0.5% CHOL, HOT water and Sub-supercritical group. Serum total cholesterol and triglyceride contents were lower in the CON group than the 0.5% CHOL group. Three weeks of feeding hot water and sub-supercritical extract resulted in a decrease in serum triglyceride and total cholesterol level. The level of HDL-cholesterol in the 0.5% CHOL group was significantly (p<0.05) reduced compared to the CON group, but it had a tendency to increase with pine needle extract supplementation. Blood passage time of the pine needle extracts supplemented group was higher than the 0.5% CHOL group. Microscopic observation showed that whole blood passed smoothly through the micro channels in pine needle extracts supplemented groups. The platelet aggregation ability of the groups treated with pine needle extracts was less than that of the 0.5% CHOL group. All these results suggest that pine needle extracts might improve blood homeostasis mediated via antiplatelet activities.
Purpose : The Purpose of this research was to investigate the effects of antithromb otic activities of Honghwadangguisan(HDS) Methods : Measured the effect which was given to blood flow rate through the regular volume of glass tube after the blood was diluted five times with ACD soulution. Antithrombotic effect was calculated as a percentage of the experimental animal figure protected from the paralysis of hind legs or death of the mouse that is caused from the administration of platelet aggregation regent. Each of the groups consisted in 8 mice, was divided into Normal, Control, and HBS. All of these 3 group were supplied a saline solution and after an hour the control group brought the dextran extravasated blood. Also the HDS group was dosed to the experimental mice with Oral Zonde one day before the experiment. After that, the mice were abstained from food. And then we gave a measured amount of it before an hour. Finally, it gave rise to dextran extravasated blood as well as the Control group. Results : The results were obtained as follows. In vitro, HDS inhibited platelet aggregation induced by ADP and epinephrine significantly as compared with the control group. HDS showed fibrinolytic activity insignificantly as compared with the control group. HDS reduced blood flow rate in significantly as compared with the control group. In vivo HDS inhibited pulmonary embolism induced by collagen and epinephrine (inhibitive rate 50%). HDS increased number of platelet, fibrinogen amount and shortened prothrombin time, activated partial thromboplastin time significantly but reduced blood flow rate insignificantly as compared with the control group in thrombus model induced by dextran. Conclusion : HDS is effective antithrombotic activity from experimental result.
