  • Fine anthracite is very difficult to upgrade by conventional processes such as gravity concentration or froth flotation, because large quantities of fine coals are generated at the mining and preparation stages and a significant portion of these fine coals are mixed with gangue minerals. This study, therefore, was carried out for the purpose of improving recovery of low ash clean coal, effective beneficiation of low-grade coking coal and removal of sulphur from high-sulphur coals by employing the method of selective agglomeration using oil or polystrene flocculants, for coals which are generally hydrophobic in nature will be extracted by using flocculants. Studies were performed by varying solid concentration, concetration of bridging liquid, mixing speed and mixing time, balling speed and balling time, dispersant dosage, flocculant dosage, pulp pH, and particle size. The results were : when the methods of the oil agglomeration and selective flocculation were employ(in the two process the sample was ground to the size of -74 micron), 1) ash content of the agglomerated coal was 9.85, 7.83%, 2) combustibel recovery of it was 98.5%, 93.5%, respectively. It was observed in selective flocculation that polystyrene is an effective flocculant for coal, De-entrapment of shale from the concentrate flocculated by mechanical agitation was necessary for substantional reductions in final ash content.

수치해석에 의한 암반특성의 변화가 터널에 미치는 영향 (Effect of the Rock Characteristics Condition on the Behavior of Tunnel by Numerical Analysis)

  • The selection of the support system is an important design parameter in design and construction of the tunnel using the new Australian tunnel method. It is a common practice to select the support based on the rock mass grade, in which the rock mass is classified into five rock groups. The method is applicable if the characteristics of the rock mass are uniform in the direction of tunnel excavation. However, such case is seldom encountered in practice and not applicable when the properties vary along the longitudinal direction. This study performs comprehensive three dimensional finite difference analyses to investigate the ground deformation pattern for cases in which the rock mass properties change in the direction of the tunnel axis. The numerically calculated displacements at the tunnel crown show that the displacement is highly dependent on the stiffness contrast of the rock masses. The results strongly indicate the need to select the support type $0.5\sim1.0D$ before the rock mass boundary. The paper proposes a new guideline for selecting the support type based the results of the analyses.

  • This paper discusses the application of civil structure use reinforcing fiber mixed with concrete to be used as protection layer of waterproofing material and root resistant layer installed in below-grade parking lot upper slab of residential building. A performance evaluation under the prescribed method outlined in KS F 4938 was used for this new material. The testing results showed that the fiber reinforcement can be used to strengthen the protection for the waterproofing material. Also, plants that were planted in June 2016 have not yet penetrated the specimens used for root resistance testing. The domestic root resistance performance testing usually covers the period of 2 years, thus further observation to make any conclusion about the root resistance property is required.

망형태(望形態)에 대한 연구 (Study on Visible Diagnosis of Appearnce)

  • This study was written in order to help understanding of visible diagnosis of appearance(形). Visible diagnosis of appearance(形) is a very important factor of diagnosis and a first step of visible diagnosis. appearance(形) is closely connection with spirit(神), so is house of spirit(神). If we make a visible diagnosis of appearance(形), we know the prosperousness of energy and the relative seriousness of an illness. Spirit(神) is understood by appearances and movements of patient, and influenced by seasons, lands, human's relationship and the grade of age. By visible diagnosis of appearance(形), we can conclude existence or nonexistence of spirit(神), As comparing spirit(神) with appearance(形), we can decide good or bad prognoses. One man's own appearance(形) is determined by the five human type(五形人). There are very various points of changing form. As divided into principal groups, there are three main groups, that is, sky(天), earth(地) and man(人). The age and sex belong 治 the factor of sky(天), a direction and configuration of the ground(地形) belong to the factor of earth(地), the five human type(五形人) and white fatness(肥白) and black emaciation(黑瘦) belong to the factor of man(人).

  • The function of subgrade in the railway is to support track load on the subgrade as well as train load. Unlike the traditional railway, the uppermost subgrade layer in the Gyeongbu high speed railway was constructed as the reinforced road bed. The reinforced road bed comprises sub-ballast in the upper part and grade ballast in the lower part. The filling material such as soil and rocks in the subgrade can be settled by consolidation of original ground, compression due to self weight, plastic displacement due to train operation, and unequal settlement due to embankment material or improper compaction, therefore many efforts have been given for sufficient compaction and use of proper filling materials in the construction stage. The purpose of this study is to investigate the deformation state of subgrade in the Gyeongbu high speed railway. The investigation on the subgrade settlement was performed by choosing representative sections suspected to be settled based on the previous GPR test results and track maintenance history, measuring the settlement for some time period after installing settlement measuring instruments on and under the reinforced road bed. and analyzing the long-term subgrade settlement data from monitoring system which was installed at the construction stage of the high speed railway.

MMTIC에 의한 성격유형과 자아탄력성과의 관계 (Differences in Ego-Resiliency between Children's Personality Types)

  • The study was designed to lay the ground for effective guidance toward adaptive coping behavior by finding out differences in ego-resiliency in terms of personality types in the Murphy-Meisgeier Type Indicator for Children(MMTIC). For the study, personality types and ego-resiliency of 180 fifth- and sixth-grade students from 3 elementary schools located in Busan were measured. The instrument for personality types was MMTIC, which was developed by Meisgeier and Murphy in the US in 1990 and standardized in Korea in 1993 by Jungtaek Kim and Hyesook Shim. In order to measure Ego-Resiliency, Block & Kremen(1996)'s Ego-Resiliency scale translated and remodified by Sungkyung Yoo(2004) was used. The collected data were analyzed using ANOVA. The study found the followings: Firstly, according to the children's preference for personality types, participants' ego-resiliency scores appeared significantly higher in 'Extraversion', 'iNtuition', and 'Feeling' than in 'Introversion', 'Sensing', and 'Thinking' respectively. There was no significant difference in the score between in 'Judging' and 'Perceiving'. Secondly, according to function types of MMTIC, the participants' ego-resiliency score in 'iNtuition-Feeling' type showed the highest among scores in the other three types. The score in 'iNtuition-Feeling' type was significantly higher than 'Sensing-Thinking', 'Sensing-Feeling', and 'iNtuition-Thinking' type respectively.

  • This paper presents a structural design of the "(Tentative Name) Toranomon Hills Residential Tower" which is currently under construction in Tokyo. The building is a reinforced concrete high-rise residential complex building with 54 stories above ground, 4 basement levels, and a building height of about 220 m. It is a requirement to provide the highest grade of residence in Japan, and in terms of the structural design, it is required to provide wide and comfortable spaces with high seismic performance. These requirements are satisfied by providing a total of 774 vibration control walls of two types. Also, to further improve the structural performance, steel fibers at the rate of 1.0vol% are provided in the ultra-high strength concrete used in the column members.

  • 70 N급 단일액체추진제 추력기 개발모델의 연소실 압력진동 강도와 추력응답특성이 갖는 상관도 도출을 위해 지상연소시험을 수행하였다. 단일추진제급 하이드라진이 연소시험용 추진제로 선정되었고, 연소실의 특성길이와 추진제 분사압력이 시험변수로 적용되었다. 시험조건 내에서의 추력실 직경 및 추진제 분사압력의 감소는 정체실의 압력진동을 증대시키고, 압력진동은 시험모델의 펄스 응답성능을 저해하는 요소로 작용하는 것이 확인되었다.

물리탐사를 이용한 청주 화강암 지역의 지반특성 파악 (Ground Characterization of the Cheongju Granite Area Using the Geophysical Methods)

  • 이 연구는 물리탐사를 이용하여 청주 화강암을 기반으로 한 지역의 지반특성을 파악하는데 목적이 있으며, 시험지역으로서 충북대학교 건물동을 선정하였다. 또한 시험지역의 동쪽에 위치한 노두에서 관찰되는 소규모의 단층과 관입암의 발달 양상을 물리탐사를 통해 확인하고, 이에 따른 풍화정도를 탐사에서 얻어진 각종 물성자료들과 비교, 파악하였다. 조사지역의 지반은 표준 암반분류표를 이용하여 탄성파 속도 800 m/s를 기준으로 크게 풍화토층과 풍화암층으로 구분되며 이층들은 표준관입시험결과 각각 중-고밀도와 고밀도의 값을 갖는다. 풍화토층은 탄성파속도 500 m/s와 전기비저항 200 ohm-m를 기준으로 불포화/포화 풍화토층으로 세분되며 불포화 층은 지하투과레이다탐사 자료와의 상관해석 결과 건조층과 습윤층으로 더욱 세분할 수 있다. 불포화/포화 풍화토층의 경계는 지하수면의 경계에 해당하는 것으로 지하투과레이다탐사 결과 대략 5~6.2 m에 발달하는 것으로 보이며 이는 시추조사 결과와 잘 일치한다. 그러나 건물 기초의 지지면이 되는 기반암 경계는 파악하기 어려웠다. 신축부지 동편의 노두에서 확인되는 단층 및 관입암은 지하투과레이다탐사 결과에서 신축부지까지 연장되지 않는 것으로 확인된다. 저비저항와 저속도대로 특징되는 노두구간의 풍화등급은 지질공학 조사결과 "완전풍화"에 해당된다.
