입자경과 분쇄소비동력의 고찰에 의한 교반볼밀 분쇄특성의 정량적 연구 (A Quantitative Study of Grinding Characteristics on Particle Size and Grinding Consumption Energy by Stirred Ball Mill)

  • A series of wet grinding experiments have been carried out using a stirred ball mill to systematically investigate consideration of grinding characteristics. The particle size distribution and median diameter of the grinding consumption power for a given grinding time were considered. Also, the effect of grinding aids on particle size and grinding consumption energy defined as the summation of grinding power was investigated. The grinding aids had influence on the smaller products size and decrease grinding consumption energy because the function of grinding aids were to be attribute to the prevention of agglomeration and ball and grinding chamber wall coating of sample powder. The grinding process seemed to be controlled by the force of agglomeration of the ground products. It was demonstrated that the particle size and grinding consumption energy could be more decreased by the addition of grinding aids.

화순산 경질점토에 미치는 분쇄조제의 효과에 관한 연구 (Effect of Grinding Aids on Hwasun Flint Clay)

  • This study deals with the effectiveness and its reaction of stearic acid, ethyl silicate and ethylene glycol as grinding aids in grinding of Hwasun flint clay by dry ball milling process. Results are follows ; 1) It was effective that stearic acid and ethyl silicate act as the grinding aids in grinding of Hwasun flint clay. Also, it was proven that addition of stearic acid and ethyl silicate was the most effective in 1.0 and 0.75wt%, respectively. 2) The addition of ethylene glycol below 0.5wt% showed better result than none, but when added more than 0.5wt% it behaved as the inhibitor of grinding process. 3) It was investigated that grinding aids increased the ability of the particle dispression by reducing the strong chhesive forces which is caused by extensive surface tension of water.

  • 분쇄에 드는 비용을 줄이면서 제품의 성능을 올리기 위한 목적으로 몇 가지 분쇄조제에 대하여 실험을 실시하였다. Ethylene Glycol, Diethylene Glycol, Triethanolamine 등과 같은 통상적인 분쇄조제는 환경오염을 유발한다. 그러므로 이러한 유해성 첨가제의 사용을 줄일 수 있는 새로운 분쇄조제의 개발이 요청되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 유지공장에서 부산물로 생산되는 몇 가지 물질을 사용하여 제조한 분쇄조제로 실험을 실시하였다. 그 결과는 다음과 같다. (1) 각 분쇄조제는 입도분포, 비표면적 증가, 경제성을 고려하여 희석한 상태로 $0.03\%$ 사용하는 것이 효율적이다. (2) 분쇄조제 DEG, S-3 및 S-4를 첨가한 경우 Blaine 값 3,100$cm^2/g$에 도달하는 시간은 30분이 소요되므로 분쇄조제의 첨가는 효과가 있다. (3) 분쇄조제 S-3, S-4가 입도분포상 양호하고 분쇄효율은 S-3이 우수하다. (4) S-3>S-4>DEG순으로 시멘트 모르타르의 압축강도를 향상시킨다.

  • Recently, the need for ultra-fine particles, especially nano-sized particles has increased in the fields preparing raw powders such as pharmaceutical additive and high value added products in the Nano-Technology processes. Therefore, the research in ultra-fine grinding is very important, especially, in nanometer grinding. In the previous paper, a series of wet grinding experiments using grinding aids using a stirred ball mill have been performed on grinding rate constant based on grinding kinetics. (omitted)

  • The effect of sintering aids on the sinterability for silcion nitride has been studied by hundreds workers. However the effect of sintering aids on the machinability as the own trobles which is the major barrier for the field applications of the ceramic components has not been fully studied. in this study the contents of Al2O3 and Y2O3 in silicon nitride were varied from 0 to 8 wt% respectively. The physical and mechanical properties of the silcion nitride were measured. The optimal microstructure of silicon nitride balls with the excellent machinability by adding with various contents of sintering aids was studied by MGF(magnetic-fluid grinding)technique. An attempt to figure out how the mechanical properties influence the machinability of silicon-nitride ball was made.

  • Grinding characteristics for aluminium and carbon nanotubes (CNTs) powder during traditional and planetary ball milling investigated from the viewpoint of particle behaviour with the aimat developing CNT-dispersed samples ground based on powder metallurgy routes.In this work, a comparison between the pure aluminium and CNT input aluminium grinding was carried out to determine grinding time effect on size reduction.We observed that the use of the curly small-diameter multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) attributed to the beneficial role of the MWCNTs as grinding aids. It is suggested that careful choices of the sizes of CNTs and Al powders would allow fine-grinding of composite particles with uniformly distributed CNT reinforcements thereby ensuring improved properties of the final composites produced by low-temperature compacting.

멜라민계 기능성 분쇄조제의 합성 및 이를 적용한 시멘트의 물리적 특성 (Synthesis of melamine-type functional grinding aids and physical properties of cement applied to them)

  • 본 연구는 분쇄효율 향상 및 시멘트의 품질 문제 해결 등 고품질의 시멘트를 제조하기 위하여 멜라민계 기능성 분쇄조제의 합성 및 이를 적용한 시멘트의 물리적 특성을 검토하였다. 시멘트 클링커의 분쇄 효율 및 제조된 시멘트의 물리적 특성을 향상시키기 위하여 멜라민계 공중합체를 methyolation, sulfonation 및 산촉매를 이용하여 polymerzation의 3단계로 나누어 반응을 진행하였다. 합성된 멜라민계 공중합체를 시멘트 클링커 분쇄 공정에 적용하여 기존의 분쇄효율을 향상시키기 위하여 사용되는 DEG(Diethylene glycol)와 압축강도를 향상시키기 위하여 사용되는 TIPA계(Triisopropanol amine) 분쇄조제와의 물리적 특성을 비교하였다. 연구결과 분쇄능의 경우 유기 고분자의 시멘트 입자로의 안정한 흡착으로 표면 에너지를 감소시킴에 따라 기존 DEG와 TIPA계 분쇄조제 대비 분말도는 4~6% 증진시키는 것으로 나타났으며, 압축강도는 기존 DEG 대비 초기 강도에 있어서는 약 30%, 28일 재령의 경우 약 13%이상의 강도 증진 효과가 확인됨에 따라 전체적인 품질은 기존 분쇄조제 대비 향상된 것으로 나타났다.
