It takes a lot of time and effort to generate grids for numerical analysis of problems with ground effect because the relative attitude and height of airfoil should be maintained to the ground as well as the inflow. A low Mach number preconditioned turbulent flow solver using the overlap grid technique has been developed and applied to the ground effect simulation. It has been validated that the present method using the multi-block grid gives us highly accurate solutions comparing with the experimental data of the RAE 101 airfoil in an unbounded condition. Present numerical method has been extended to simulate ground effect problems by using the overlapped grid system to avoid tedious work in generating multi-block grid system. An extended method using the overlapped grid has been verified and validated by comparing with results of multi-block method and experimental data as well. Consequently, the overlapped grid method can provide not only sufficiently accurate solutions but also the efficiency to simulate ground effect problems. It is shown that the pressure and aerodynamic centers move backward by the ground effect as the airfoil approaches to the ground.

In recent years, the problem of data drifted of the smart grid due to manual operation has been widely studied by researchers in the related domain areas. It has become an important research topic to effectively and reliably find the reasonable data needed in the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system has become an important research topic. This paper analyzes the data composition of the smart grid, and explains the power model in two smart grid applications, followed by an analysis on the application of each parameter in density-based spatial clustering of applications with noise (DBSCAN) algorithm. Then a comparison is carried out for the processing effects of the boxplot method, probability weight analysis method and DBSCAN clustering algorithm on the big data driven power grid. According to the comparison results, the performance of the DBSCAN algorithm outperforming other methods in processing effect. The experimental verification shows that the DBSCAN clustering algorithm can effectively screen the power grid data, thereby significantly improving the accuracy and reliability of the calculation result of the main grid's theoretical line loss.
A multiblock grid generation has been developed to be reliably used for a Navier-Stokes simulation of the turbomachinery flow-fields A multiblock structure simplifies the creation of structured H-grids about complex turbomachinery geometries and facilitate the creation of a grid in the tip flow region. The numerical algorithm adopts the combination of the algebraic and elliptic method to create the internal grids efficiently and quickly. The grid refinement process is enhanced by developing strategies to utilized Bezier curves and splines along with weighted transfinite interpolation technique and by formulating the grid-imbedding method for the viscous boundary-layer meshes. For purposes of illustration, the grid generator is applied to the high turning turbine rotor blades. Two different types of computational grids are provided to be compared with respect to the grid adaptation to the flow simulations. Extension to three-dimensions was done to show the possibility of its application to the tip-flow simulations. The grid quality of the multiblock structure is good in the passages, with gloval orthogonality and adequate smoothness.
This study is on the application of TOPMDEL(Topographic based hydrologic model) Which is a distributed rainfall-runoff model to the flood runoff analysis. The test area was Wichun experimental catchment site which is mountainous mid-area (Dongok, 33.63$\textrm{km}^2$ and Goro, 109,725 $\textrm{km}^2$) and being operated by the Ministry of Construction and ransporation. A three-dimensional digital elevation model(DEM) map was constructed using a physiographic map(1/25,000) and GIS software, Arc/Info, was used to the analysis of geofraphic factors. The topographic index of Dongok and Goro subcatchment was similar. As a results of the analysis, the model was validated that the simulated peak flow of a flood runoff was fit to the observed data. For the analysis of the effects of grid size, Dongok subcatchment was divided into 100,120-,240 m grid and Goro subcatchment was divided into grid and 120,200,350 m grid. It was shown that the peak flow increased in proportion to the increases of the grid size, but peak times were constant regardless of the grid size in both of the watershed.
Harmonic resonance exists in grid-connected inverter systems. In order to determine the network components that contribute to harmonic resonance and the composition of the resonant circuit, sensitivity theory is applied to the resonance characteristic analysis. Based on the modal analysis, the theory of sensitivity is applied to derive a formula for determining the sensitivities of each network component parameter under a resonance circumstance that reflects the participation of the network component. The solving formula is derived for both parallel harmonic resonance and series harmonic resonance. This formula is adopted to a 4-node grid-connected test system. The analysis results reveal that for a certain frequency, the participation of parallel resonance and series resonance are not the same. Finally, experimental results demonstrate that the solving formula for sensitivity is feasible for grid-connected systems.

In order to overcome the power fluctuation issues in photovoltaic (PV) smart grid-connected systems and the inverter nonlinearity model problem, an adaptive backstepping command-filter and a double second order generalized Integrators (DSOGI) controller are designed in order to tune the AC current and the DC-link voltage from the DC side. Firstly, we propose to present the filter mathematical model throughout the PV system, at that juncture the backstepping control law is applied in order to control it, Moreover the command filter is bounded to the controller aiming to exclude the backstepping controller differential increase. Additionally, The adaptive law uses Lyapunov stability criterion. Its task is to estimate the uncertain parameters in the smart grid-connected inverter. A DSOGI is added to stabilize the grid currents and eliminate undesirable harmonics meanwhile feeding maximum power generated from PV to the point of common coupling (PCC). Then, guaranteeing a dynamic effective response even under very unbalanced loads and/or intermittent climate changes. Finally, the simulation results will be established using MATLAB/SIMULINK proving that the presented approach can control surely the smart grid-connected system.

In this study, the problems were analyzed that derived a different position evaluation results depending on the unit grid size that are applied to the terrain slope analysis conducted to assess the its position and environmental impacts in the prior environment reviewing process of golf course construction projects. For this purpose, the unit grid size were analyzed that can precisely reflect a actual terrain by analyzing the change of a slope percentage according to the change of unit grid size about 12 golf courses is currently in progress of construction work through the environmental consultation or ongoing consultation. And the consultation availability of environmental assessment was reverified by applying the unit grid size derived through this study about a study golf course. In the result of study, the bigger grid size for slope analysis is set, the greatly gradient is changed and the slope ratio of the higher elevation was lowly evaluated in comparison with actual terrain. The analytical result that most closely match the actual terrain was extracted in the case applied $5m{\times}5m$ of the unit grid sizes setting in this study. So, we proposed this study results to the ministry of environment and could be amended the unit grid size of $5m{\times}5m$ as standard for the analysis of slope. Also, if new grid size for site evaluation is applied to the study sites, 4 sites exceed the standard suggested the existing regulations and they are not proper as golf course site in flank of environment.

This paper introduces a hardware simulator for the LVRT operation analysis of the grid-tied PMSG wind power system with a power dissipation circuit. The power dissipation circuit, which is composed of chopper and resistor, suppresses the sudden increase of DC-link voltage in the back-to-back converter of the grid-tied PMSG wind power system. The LVRT operation was first analyzed using computer simulations with PSCAD/EMTDC. A wind power simulator including the power dissipation circuit and the fault simulator composed of variac and IGBT were built to analyze the LVRT operation. Various experiments were conducted to verify the effectiveness of the power dissipation circuit for the LVRT operation. The developed hardware simulator can be extensively utilized for the analysis of various LVRT operations of the grid-tied wind power system.

This paper proposes an analysis and operation strategy of a grid-connected wind turbine system using a diode rectifier. The currents of generators are the same as that of a small wind turbine system. Therefore, the analysis of generator torque is required as opposed to an analysis of blade speed. In this paper, the appropriate MPPT control method is proposed to control generator torque. Usefulness of the proposed operation strategy is verified by simulations and experiments.
