보행신호등 녹색점멸신호의 시작시점에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Beginning Time of Flashing Green Signals for Pedestrians)

  • 본 연구는 횡단보도 보행자 신호등의 녹색점멸신호 시작시점에 대하여 선호도 및 안전성을 조사 분석하고, 현행 보행자신호등의 운영 기준과 적용 방법 그리고 대안으로 제시되고 있는 국내 외 방안들에 대해 검토하여 최적의 개선방안을 도출하기 위해 시행되었다. 현재 많은 보행자들이 녹색점멸신호에 대한 이해가 부족한 가운데 도로의 횡단을 무리하게 시도하며 교통사고에 노출되고 있고, 점멸신호시 횡단하는 동안 불안감을 느끼고 있는 것으로 조사되어 보행신호등의 새로운 체계가 마련되어야 함을 시사하고 있다. 설문조사 결과, 보행자들은 현재 점멸신호가 너무 빨리 시작되고 있다고 응답하였고, 1/2 시점에서 점멸신호가 시작하는 방식을 선호하였다. 점멸신호 시작시점에 따른 보행자 위치별, 보행자의 정지위치별, 보행섬 설치 고려시 각각의 안전성 검토결과에서도 1/2시점 방식이 가장 안전한 것으로 나타났다. 현장실험 결과, 현행방식과 비교해 1/2 또는 2/3 시점 방식에서 점멸신호시 횡단을 시작하는 보행자 비율이 유의하게 줄어드는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 녹색점멸신호를 2/3 시점에서 제시한 경우 적색신호에 횡단보도에 남아있는 보행자의 비율이 급격히 증가하는 것으로 나타나, 1/2 시점 방식이 가장 안전한 방법인 것으로 나타났다.

공식 골프대회 기간중 한국과 외국의 골프코스들의 퍼팅그린 관리 방법 비교 (A Comparative Study on the Putting Green Management for Tournament of Korean and Foreign Golf Courses during Tournament Play Week)

  • The objective of this study is to present management methods for Korean golf courses to achieve fast green that satisfies international golf tournament standards during an official golf tournament. The results of both the research and the comparative study on putting green management of 24 tournaments hosted in Korea and 12 tournaments hosted in overseas countries in 2002 are as follows: 1. As for the putting greens in Korean and foreign golf courses where official golf tournaments were held, Korean of official golf tournaments were mainly opened in two-green system golf courses contrary to the foreign cases, and the average size of the greens in Korean golf courses was shown to be greater than that of foreign golf courses to some extent, although there was no difference between the types of turf varieties. 2. Results have shown that unlike foreign golf courses, Korean golf courses were managing putting greens by using greens mowers mostly for general (non-tournament) management, and elaborate rolling attempts failed during official tournament flay week because of an insufficient number of rollers to be input. Therefore, Korean golf courses are required to make efforts to secure 21-inch working-behind greens mowers equipped with tournament bedknifes and 11 blades, which is the greens mowing equipment for professional tournaments, and rollers above all things in order to achieve fast green during tournament play week 3. In attempting to achieve green as fast as that of foreign golf courses, Korean golf courses need to consider the method of performing mowing at 3.0mm height or less with greens mowers for professional tournaments. This needs to be done more than two times, followed by a continuous practice of rolling for proper management.

교차로 사고 감소를 위한 신호등 보완에 관한 연구 (A Study of the Intersection in Reduce Car Accidents for Traffic Signal Light to Supplement)

  • 국내 신호등은 2색등, 3색등, 4색등의 신호체계를 적용하고 있다. 2색등은 적색•녹색 등화로 주로 횡단보도에서 사용되며 3색등은 적색•황색•녹색(녹색화살표)등화로 T자형 교차로, 4색등화 표시는 적색•황색•녹색화살표•녹색으로 일반적인 교차로에서 사용되고 있다. 교차로에 진입하는 운전자는 딜레마 존 영역에서 교차로 진입 또는 정지선에 정지 판단을 해야 한다. 교차로 진입 전 딜레마 존에서 운전자는 교차로 폭, 차량속도, 인지반응시간, 기준 황색신호 시간에 따라 교차로 통과 또는 정지선에 정지, 과속차량, 꼬리물기, 끼어들기, 신호위반 차량 등 많은 정보를 수집 판단하고 있다. 본 논문은 교차로 3,4색 신호등의 기준 황색신호 시간과 교차로 통과 속도를 50km/h, 60km/h하향 조정에 따른 딜레마 존 영역 길이 변화가 황색신호 시간에 영향을 줄 수 있음을 제시한다. 이러한 영향에 따른 황색신호 시간은 0.1~2.3초 증가함을 알 수 있었으며 딜레마 존 영역도 1.22~26[m] 증가함을 알 수 있었다. 교차로 사고 감소를 위해 딜레마 존의 운전자에게 빠른 판단할 수 있도록 직진(3색,4색) 녹색신호의 잔여시간을 표시함으로써 교차로 통행에 발생하는 교통사고를 줄이는 방안을 제시하며, 심야시간에 운영되어지는 교차로 점멸신호에 진입하는 차량에 적색(LED 손바닥)신호와 좌회전 녹색 화살표 신호를 교차 점멸함으로 안전한 진입 방안을 제시하고자 한다.

사각형 단면 구조물에 대한 그린워터의 생성 특성 연구 (STUDY ON GREEN WATER BEHAVIOR ON RECTANGULAR SHAPED STRUCTURE)

  • In this study, the green water phenomena on rectangular shaped structure is numerically simulated by STAR-CCM+ to investigate the flow pattern including the velocity profiles in bubbly water flow. 5 phases of the formation of green water in front of and over the rectangular shaped structure is simulated at the design condition which is scaled down by 1:125 from FPSO operating in GOM. All numerical results are compared with the experimental results performed in a two dimensional wave flume. The water deformation due to the green water are obtained by the high speed CCD camera with employing the shadow graphy technique, which is allowed to take the bubbly water flow into images. A series of image taken by shadow graphy technique is analyzed with MQD method to calculate the velocity in bubbly water flow.

세라믹 및 초경합금 성형체의 피절삭성 (Machinability of ceramic and WC-Co green compacts)

  • Machining pressed compacts of ceramic and WC-Co materials can be the most cost effective way of forming the bodies prior to sintering when the required number of pieces is small. In this study, in order to clarify the machinability for turning, the $Si_3N_4$ and the WC-Co green compacts unsintered were machined under different cutting conditions with various tools. Absorbing chips by vacuum hose decreases tool wear. The tool wear becomes larger in the order of the ceramic, CBN and cemented carbide tools in machining the $Si_3N_4$ green compacts. In machining the WC-Co green compacts, the tool wear becomes larger in the order of the ceramic, cemented carbide and CBN tools. The land of cutting edge does not affect tool wear. When machining with cemented carbide tool, the tool wear i equal cutting length is nearly identical in spite of the increase of cutting spee, and the roughness of machined surface was the best in the cutting speed of 90 m/min. The tool wear decreases with the increase of rake angle and relief angle and with the decrease of nose radius. The machined surfaces become worse with the increase of feed rate and depth of cut, and with the decrease of rake angle and relief angle. The tool wear is not affected by the feed and depth of cut.

플레어 각도에 따른 청수현상의 발생과정 및 갑판 위 유동특성 변화에 대한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study on Variations in Behavior of Green Water and Flow Kinematics on Deck with Various Flare Angles)

  • In this study, a series of experiments were performed to investigate the variations in the behavior of green water generation and the flow kinematics of bubbly flow on deck with various flare angles. The experiments were conducted in a 2-D wave flume using a simplified model of a BW Pioneer FPSO operating in the Gulf of Mexico, with a 100-year return period wave condition. The green water phenomena were captured with a high speed CCD camera. The variations in the behavior of the green water generation were investigated with various flare angles, and the horizontal mean velocity profiles of bubbly flow on deck obtained using bubble image velocimetry (BIV) were provided. The differences in flow kinematics of bubbly flow on deck were analyzed with various flare angles.

치과 임플란트용 지르코니아-알루미나 복합체의 생 가공 및 경 가공 특성 (Green and Hard Machining Characteristics of Zirconia-alumina Composites for Dental Implant)

  • The green and hard machining characteristics of dental ceramics are of great interest to dental industry. The green bodies of TZP/$Al_2O_3$ composites were prepared by the cold isostatic pressing, and machined on the CNC lathe using PCD (polycrystalline diamond) insert under various machining conditions. With increasing nose radius of PCD insert, surface roughness initially increased due to increased cutting resistance, but decreased by the onset of sliding fracture. The lowest surface roughness was obtained at spindle speed of 1,300 rpm and lowest feed rate. Hard bodies were prepared by pressureless sintering the machined green bodies at several temperatures. The grinding test for sintered hard body was conducted using electroplated diamond bur with different grit sizes. During grinding, grain pull out in the composite was occurred due to thermal expansion mismatch between the alumina and zirconia. The strength of the composite decreased with alumina contents, due to increased surface roughness and high monoclinic phase transformed during grinding process. The final polished samples represented high strength by the elimination of a phase transformation layer.

  • 본 논문은 10개 교차로를 연동제어를 할 수 있는 새로운 교통체제 개념을 제안한다. 예를 들어서 오늘 야구경기가 8시경에 열린다고 하면 야구경기가 열리기전 1시간 흑은 1시간 30분전에 교통량이 증가할 것이다. 이럴때에는 아무리 우수한 전자 신호등 시스템도 최적녹색시간을 예측 할 수 없다. 그러므로, 본 논문에서는 평균 승용차 대기시간을 최소화하고 평균 주행속도를 향상하기 위해서 퍼지규칙 및 신경망을 이용한다. 모의실험결과 제안된 연동 녹색시간이 연동 녹색시간을 고려하지 않은 전자신호등보다 평균 승용차 대기시간을 줄일 수 있음을 입증했다.

  • Since the "Low Carbon, Green Growth" as a social requirements is attracted public attention, the policies and investments of the railway which have been less estimated than road is re-considered. Since the starting the commercial service (2004. April), the KTX have been operated successfully while transport passengers over 100million for years. And also the project for development of KHST (Korea High Speed Train ; G7) had been accomplished with a good result, the first trainset of KTX-II which base on G7 project was manufactured and testing now. On the other hand, the world's technology of the high speed train is more faster, and changing to a distributed traction system. To catch up the world's leading technology, the HEMU(High-speed Electric Multiple Unit) project will secure new technology and aims to promote the technology of domestic high-speed train. The authors indicates the result of detail review such as a curve, slope of the track and electrical dead section of the catenary to test at 400kph and also the performance simulation of the developed rolling stock in this paper. As the result, the authors devise the test scenario to perform a maximum speed test (stability at max. speed, acceleration & deceleration etc) with the restricted conditions such as track length, track available time etc by considering above result.

  • Conventional railways are less competitive than other land transportation means in term of speed, and thus users preference and transportation share for rail system are relatively lower than others. For example, most of the conventional lines except the Seoul~Busan corridor run at an average speed of 70 km/h or less, which imposes certain constraints on roles and functions as the trunk lines. In this regard, the speed of the conventional lines should be improved up to 200 km/h to gain competitiveness, promote balanced regional development and lead the era of low carbon green growth. As track system is one of the most important elements for the speed-up, it is critical to come up with optimum technical solutions. Improvement of ballast track structure with efficient track installation can provide structural stability for higher speed and ensure operational safety with lower maintenance efforts. Thus, this study focuses on consequences followed by the speed-up including increase of load imposed on the track and impacts on track components, and provide solutions for track maintenance by analyzing impact on the track structure by speed. Also, it compares ballast and concrete tracks under designing and construction and considers how to meet needs for passengers comfort and environmental requirements as a strategic approach.
