청보리와 헤어리베치 단작 및 혼작 재배지에서 돈분액비 시용이 녹비생산량에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Application of Liquid Pig Manure on Yield of Green manure in Single and Companion Cropping)

  • 본 논문은 청보리와 헤어리베치 단작 및 혼작 재배지에서 돈분액비 시용이 녹비의 생육과 biomass에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 단작 재배지에서 녹비작물의 초장은 LPM 3.3 처리구에서 가장 길었으며, 혼작 재배지에서는 LPM 6.6 처리구에서 가장 길었다. 단작 재배지에서 녹비작물의 biomass는 질소 시비량의 전량 100%에 해당하는 LPM 3.3 처리구에서 최대생육을 나타냈으며, 질소 시비량의 전량 200%에 해당하는 LPM 6.6은 돈분액비의 과잉시용으로 인해 biomass가 낮게 조사된 것으로 판단된다. 혼작 재배지에서는 질소 시비량의 전량 200%에 해당하는 LPM 6.6 처리구가 LPM 3.3 처리구에 비해 높은 biomass를 나타내었으며, 이는 단작 재배와 달리 혼작 재배에서는 청보리 및 헤어리베치의 양분 요구도가 증가했기 때문이라고 판단된다. 따라서 돈분액비 최적 투입량은 청보리와 헤어리베치 단작재배의 경우 $3.30Mg\;10a^{-1}$ 정도이었고, 청보리와 헤어리베치 혼작재배의 경우 $6.60Mg\;10a^{-1}$ 정도이었다.

The Effects of Phosphorus Fertilization After Incorporation of Green Manure Crops to Jeju Volcanic Ash Soils on Potato Yields, Available Phosphate Contents in Soil, and Phosphorus Balances

  • The volcanic ash soils from the Jeju province have low available phosphate because of the high phosphate fixing power of the soils. Phosphorus fertilizerwas dressed after cultivating green manure crops and before cultivating potatoes in order to investigate potato yields, the available phosphate contents, and phosphorus balance in the soils. Green manure crops cultivated in this study were hairy vetch alone and hairy vetch and rye. During potato cultivation, four treatments were conducted in the experiments; NF (non fertilizer), P fertilizer ($N-P-K=0-25-0kg\;10a^{-1}$), NK fertilizer ($N-P-K=18-0-19kg\;10a^{-1}$), and NPK fertilizer ($N-P-K=18-25-19kg\;10a^{-1}$). There were no differences in the yields of potato stem and tuber from the cultivation plots of different green manure crops. However, in the plots with single-sown hairy vetch and mixed-sown hairy vetch and rye, the yields of potato stem and tuber were higher in the P fertilizer plot than in NF plot. The yield of tuber among the treatments with mixed-sown hairy vetch and rye was the highest in the NPK fertilizer plot. The available phosphate content in soils initially increased with time in all plots, but began to decrease gradually after Oct. 18. The available phosphate contents were high in the plots for phosphate fertilization, and the difference in available phosphate content between non-phosphorus fertilizer plots and phosphorus fertilizer plots increased with time. In the single-sown hairy vetch and mixed-sown hairy vetch and rye plot, the phosphorus balances in NF plot and NK fertilizer plot were very low, while those in the P fertilizer plot and NPK fertilizer plot were high. In conclusion, available phosphate contents in soil and the potato yields were increased by phosphorus fertilization when potatoes planted after cultivating hairy vetch and rye together, compared to hairy vetch alone.

국내 주요 녹비작물 논재배 적지 재설정: 1월 평균 최저기온 및 배수등급을 기준으로 (Reset of Cultivation Zones of Green Manure Crops under Paddy Field in South Korea: Focused on Minimum Temperature and Drainage Class)

  • 본 연구에서는 최근 12년간의 1월 평균최저기온과 배수 등급을 기준으로 남한지역 논토양에서 녹비작물 재배적지를 재설정한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 헤어리베치와 트리티케일의 재배가능지대 온도는 $-10^{\circ}C$ 이상으로 논면적은 935,993 ha이었으며, 재배안전지대는 $-8^{\circ}C$ 이상으로 논면적은 836,214 ha였으며, 이는 전체 논 면적 966,076 ha(통계면적)의 각각 96.9 및 86.6%에 해당되었다. 2. 녹비보리의 재배가능지대 온도는 $-8^{\circ}C$이상이며, 재배 안전지대 온도는 $-6^{\circ}C$이상이며, 해당 재배면적은 각각 836,421 ha (전체 논 면적의 86.58%) 및 513,592 ha(전체 논 면적의 53.1%)였다. 3. 호밀의 재배가능 및 재배안전지대 온도는 $-20^{\circ}C$ 이상으로 거의 대부분의 지역이 해당되었으며, 그 면적은 963,253 ha로 전체 논 면적의 99.7%에 달했다 4. 클로버의 재배가능지대 온도는 $-6^{\circ}C$이상이었으며, 재배 안전지대 온도는 $-4^{\circ}C$이상으로 해당 재배면적은 512,592 ha와 152,299 ha로 전체 논 면적의 37.3%와 15.8%로 가장 적었다.

녹비작물 도입에 따른 토마토 시설재배지 연작장해 토양 개량 효과 (Differences in Soil Improvement Effects of Four Green Manure Crops in Greenhouse Cultivation)

  • 본 연구는 4종의 녹비 작물, hairy vetch, Italian ryegrass, crimson clover, orchard grass 등을 도입하여 연작장해를 일으키는 토마토 시설재배지의 토양개량에 미치는 효과를 구명하였다. 각각의 녹비 작물을 시용한 후, 후 작물로서 토마토를 정식하여 토양의 물리화학성 및 토마토 건물 중 등을 조사하여 녹비작물 재배의 효과 조사하였다. 그 결과 녹비작물 시용에 따라 토양 경도가 감소되었다. Orchard grass와 Italian ryegrass는 토양습도를 증가시키는 요인으로 토양 메트릭스에서 더 많이 무효화 시킬 수 있었다. 녹비작물 시용 2개월 후, Italian ryegrass와 orchard grass 처리구에서 토양 건조 밀도가 감소를 보였으나, 대조구와 녹비구간 통계적 유의성이 인정되지 않았다. 녹비작물로서 Italian ryegrass와 hairy vetch의 시용이 토마토 생육에 영향을 주어 건물중의 증가 및 양호한 생육을 보였다. 또한 orchard grass는 상대적으로 적은 바이오메스인데도 불구하고, 토양 개량에 효과적이었다.

녹비작물 무 환원-벼 작부체계에서 질소와 인산수지 평가 (Evaluation of Nitrogen and Phosphorus Balance in Green Manure-Rice Cropping Systems without Incorporation of Green Manure Crops)

  • 본 연구는 녹비작물-벼 재배 작부체계에서 볏짚과 녹비작물을 전량 회수하여 사료작물로 활용시 농경지 비옥도 관리를 위한 양분수지를 평가하였다. 녹비보리와 헤어리베치 혼파비율에 따른 녹비작물 생산량은 B75H25에서 가장 높게 나타났다. B75H25 처리구의 벼 수량은 NPK 처리구 대비 90%를 보였다. 녹비작물과 볏짚을 전량 회수시 NPK, B100, B75H25, B50H50, B25H75, H100 처리구의 질소 수지는 각각 2.0, -80.8, -104.0, -93.5, -82.9, 76.2 kg N/ha 이었다. 그리고 질소 수지가 가장 낮은 B75H25 처리구의 인산수지는 -50.3 kg P/ha로 가장 낮았다. 따라서 녹비작물-벼 재배 작부체계에서 녹비작물과 볏짚을 전량 사료로 활용시 농경지 비옥도 유지를 위해서 각각 약 90 kg N /ha, 50 kg P/ha의 질소와 인산 시비가 필요한 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 금후 녹비작물을 사료로 활용하고자 할 경우 화학비료 시용량과 적정 녹비작물의 회수량에 관한 연구가 필요한 것으로 판단된다.

녹비작물 환원에 따른 벼 재배지 인산수지 평가 (Evaluation of Phosphorus Balance in Green Manure-Rice Cropping Systems with Different Incorporation Rate of Green Manure Crops)

  • BACKGROUND: In Korea, green manure has been cultivated for reducing chemical fertilizer application, maintaining soil fertility, and feeding livestock in winter season. We evaluated the phosphate balance under green manure-rice cultivating system with different removal rates of green manure for maintaining soil fertility. METHODS AND RESULTS: The barley and hairy vetch mixture was selected as the green manure in this study. The barley and hairy vetch was sowed at a rate of 135 and 23 kg/ha, respectively, without fertilizer application. Total aboveground biomass was 12000 (barley: 5400 kg/ha, hairy vetch: 6600 kg/ha) kg/ha, and these green manure were incorporated with different input rates before rice planting. The input rates of green manure in this study were 0 (NPK+0%), 25 (NPK+25%), 50 (NPK+50%), 75 (NPK+75%) and 100 % (NPK+100) and the standard fertilization (NPK) without green manure cultivation. All treatments were applied with standard fertilizer (N-P-K: 90-19.6-48.3 kg/ha) before rice planting. The highest rice yield was observed in NPK+50% which was 20% higher compared with NPK. The phosphate balance with different incorporation rates of green manure was-104.0,-76.8,-52.9,-27.4, and 6.0 kg/ha for NPK+0%, NPK+25%, NPK+50%, NPK+75%, and NPK+100%, respectively. CONCLUSION(S): The use of green manure for livestock feeding in green manure-rice cropping systems could remove a huge amount of phosphate. This cropping system strongly requires phosphate application before green manure seeding for maintaining soil fertility.

녹비 작물 처리에 따른 운광벼 중 감마오리자놀 변화 (Treatment Effect of Green Manure Crops on Content of γ-Oryzanols from Korean Rice Variety, Unkwangbyeo)

  • BACKGROUND: ${\gamma}$-Oryzanol, a mixture of ferulic acid esters of triterpene alcohols and sterols, are a nutritionally important group of rice secondary metabolites. The ${\gamma}$-Oryzanol content and composition were found to vary with enviromental factors such as growth temperature, varietal origin, and cultivation method. Therefore, the effect of green manure treatments will be also be an important factor in their content. METHODS AND RESULTS: The ${\gamma}$-Oryzanols extracted using dichloromethane/methanol were analyzed equipped liquid chromatography with a diode array detector. A total of ten components of ${\gamma}$-oryzanol including ${\Delta}7$-stigmastenyl ferulate were isolated of which, cycloartenyl ferulate, 24-methylenecycloartanyl ferulate, campesteryl ferulate and sitosteryl ferulate were identified as the major components in Korean rice variety, Unkwang. The ${\gamma}$-oryzanol content in rice, in the presence of nitrogen fertilization using green manure was similar to conventional nitrogen fertilization, but was higher than the control(no fertilizations). The ${\gamma}$-oryzanol ontent in rice, in the presence of hairy vetch as green manure crop was the highest compared to other crops (opium-poppy, crimson clover, cornflower). As a result of PLS-DA using SIMCA 11.0 ver. as multivariate analysis program on the basis of total data, in all samples, the specific pattern and cluster of ${\gamma}$-oryzanol scores according to green manure crops and conditions were confirmed with possible distinguishing nitrogen effects. CONCLUSION: The nitrogen contained in the green manure crops is considered to play a major role in the formation of ${\gamma}$-oryzanol. Hairy vetch which contains higher nitrogen increased the concentration of ${\gamma}$-oryzanol in rice.

Incorporation Effect of Green Manure Crops on Improvement of Soil Environment on Saemangeum Reclaimed Land during Silage Corn Cultivation

  • This study was carried out to investigate the incorporation effect of green manure crops (GMC) such as the hairy vetch on improvement of soil environment in reclaimed land during silage corn cultivation over the past two years. Plots consisted of conventional fertilization (CF) and incorporation of GMC were divided by addition rate of nitrogen fertilizer (100 kg $ha^{-1}$) with 30 - 100% of non nitrogen fertilization (NNF). Soil physico-chemical properties and growth and yield potential of silage corn were examined. The tested soils showed strong alkali and saline properties with low contents of organic matter and available phosphate while contents of exchangeable sodium and magnesium were high. Soil salinity increased during cultivation of summer crop. However, corn was not affected by salt content. The fresh weight of GMC at incorporation time was 18,345 kg $ha^{-1}$. Content of total nitrogen was 3.09% and the C/N ratio was 12.8 at incorporation time. Fresh and dry matter yield of silage corn were higher in the order of N30% reduction, CF, N50% reduction, N70% reduction, N100% reduction and NNF. Fresh and dry matter yield potential of silage corn for N30% reduction were comparable to those of CF. Bulk density of the soil decreased with incorporation of GMC, while porosity was increased. The soil pH decreased while content of exchangeable calcium, available phosphate, and organic matter increased. Also contents of exchangeable sodium and potassium decreased with incorporation of GMC. The data indicate that incorporation of hairy vetch can improve soil physical and chemical properties and reduce nitrogen fertilizer application especially for alkali saline reclaimed soil such as Saemangeum reclaimed land.

생강연작재배지에서 Pythium zingiberum 경감을 위한 녹비작물 재배효과 (Effect of Green Manure Crops Incorporation for Reduction of Pythium zingiberum in Ginger Continuous Cultivation)

  • 생강연작재배지 토양에 녹비작물의 재배가 토양 양분의 변화와 뿌리썩음병원균 경감효과를 알기위해 헤어리베치, 크림손클로버, 오차드글라스를 80일간 재배 후, 토양에 환원하여 토양분석 및 real-time PCR 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 녹비작물의 생육은 크림손클로버가 가장 좋았으며, 질수흡수량은 크림손클로버가 가장 높게 나타났으며, 토양의 인산함량은 오차드글라스가 가장 낮게 나타났다. T-N 함량은 헤어리벳치 > 크림손클로버 > 오차드글라스 순으로 나타났다. 또한 토양 내 뿌리썩음 병원균 밀도분석을 위해 Pythium zingiberum 균 특이 5.8S rDNA를 이용하여 real-time PCR 분석한 결과 헤어리베치, 오차드그라스 및 크림손클로버 처리의 Ct값은 대조구보다 낮게 나타났다. 이상의 결과를 요약해볼 때 생강연작재배지에서 녹비처리 후 토양은 대조구에 비해 EC가 감소되고, 몇 몇 무기성분은 증가하였으며, 뿌리썩음 병원균 밀도는 감소하였다.

Cutting Frequency and Liquid Manure Application on Green Manure Production of Rye and Hairy Vetch in Pear Orchard

  • Many organic fruit growers adopt cover cropping in their orchards to improve soil properties. A field experiment was conducted to determine the effects of cutting frequency of cover crop (CF) and liquid manure application (LM) on green manure production (GMP) and returnable nutrient content (RNC) in pear orchard. The combined effects of CF and LM were tested at two levels, respectively, with liquid manure ($L_1$) and without liquid manure ($L_0$). After that, cover crops were cut once ($C_1$) and three times ($C_3$) in rye, and twice ($C_2$) and four times ($C_4$) in hairy vetch. The result showed that main factors related to green manure production were different depending on the species. In rye, LM was more effective in increasing the dry weight of cover crop and RNC than CF. In contrast, the parameters were more affected by CF rather than LM in hairy vetch. Thus, it is suggested that different management technique is needed depending on the cover crop species in order to maximize the green manure production in pear orchard.
