스테레오PIV에 의한 원주후류 난류통계량 계측 (Measurement of Turbulent Properties of a Circular Cylinder with a New Stereoscopic PIV)

  • A new stereoscopic PIV has been constructed using two CCD cameras, stereoscopic photogrammetry, and 3D-PTV principle. The capability of the developed stereoscopic PIV was verified through a test on the Standard Images which are provided on the website of VSJ. The arrangement of the two cameras was based on angular position For the acquisition of 3D velocity vectors, 2D velocity vectors were obtained using the gray-level cross-correlation method from the two camera images and they were matched stereoscopically. The wake of a circular cylinder was measured and turbulent properties were presented.

입자영상유속계와 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 이용한 분기관내 유동해석 (Flow Analyses in the Bifurcated Duct with PIV System and Computer Simulation)

  • The objective of the current study is to understand steady 3-dimensional flow phenomena in a bifurcated duct experimentally. A bifurcation model is fabricated with transparent acrylic resin to visualize the whole flow field with the PIV system. The gray level cross-correlation method is applied to the image processing algorithm. The subpixel and the area interpolation methods are used to obtain the final velocity vectors. The finite volume predictions are used to analyze the flow patterns in the bifurcation model. The results of the computer simulation and the PIV experiment for three-dimensional flow show the recirculation zone and the formation of the paired secondary flow distal to the apex of the bifurcation model. The results obtained with the two methods also show that the branch flow strongly strikes the inner wall due to the inertial effect and accompanied helical motion as it flows toward the outer wall.

감온액정을 이용한 층류유동의 온도장에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on Laminar Flow Temperature Using Thermo-sensitive Liquid Crystal)

  • An experimental investigation was performed to study the characteristics of laminar water flow in a horizontal circular tube by using liquid crystal. A simultaneous measurement technique has been employed to measure the temperature field in a two-dimensional cross section of fluid flow. This study found the temperature distribution for Re =900~1,500 along longitudinal sections and the results appear to be physically reasonable. To determine some characteristics of the laminar flow, 2D PIV technique is employed for temperature measurement and liquid crystal is used for heat transfer experiments in water. The experimental rig was manufactured from an acryle tube. The test tube diameter of 25mm, and a length of 1200mm. The used algorithm is the gray level cross-correlation method by using Kimura et al. in 1986.

  • The present experimental study is aimed to investigate the flow characteristics of the high-speed flow field within hot-water pump by PIV(Particle Image Velocimetry). As multi-point simultaneous velocity acquisition, 2-D PIV system based upon the two-frame gray-level cross correlation method is adopted using PC frame-grabber and simple video system. Gated image intensifier CCD Camera to cope with illumination problem is arranged for accurate PIV measurement of high-speed complex flow. The velocity vector distribution, velocity profile, and kinetic energy are represented quantitatively at the full-scale region for the deeper understanding of the unsteady flow characteristics in a pump.

통계적 특성에 의한 객체 영상 검출방안 (The Object Image Detection Method using statistical properties)

  • 본 논문은 영상에 포함된 객체 특징을 추출하기 위한 연구로서, 말레이시아 산림에서 드론으로 항공 촬영된 산림 영상사진을 이용하여 실제로 산림 속에 존재하는 나무를 파악하기 위한 방법을 기술한다. 일반적으로 회색조 영상특징 추출방법으로는 LBP 방식과 GLCM 방식, Gabor 필터 방식 등이 많이 사용되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 드론으로 촬영된 영상이므로 나뭇잎 질감이 매우 유사하기 때문에, 질감 자체보다는 표본으로 채취한 샘플들에 대한 통계적 특성을 이용한 객체 추출 방식을 제안한다. 이를 위하여 먼저 샘플 영상을 생성하고, 생성된 샘플영상과 원 영상간의 상호상관관계를 이용하여 객체를 검출한다. 각 샘플영상들에 대한 평균치 및 표준편차는 객체 샘플을 분간하고, 판단하기 위한 중요한 자료로 사용될 수 있으며, 또한 RGB 모델과 HSV 모델의 각 신호성분들을 분석하여 객체판단에 유용한 샘플 영상에 대한 통계값을 이용함으로서 객체 추출 확률을 높일 수 있다.
