Purpose : The purpose of this study was to understand the correlations between occupational basic competencies, job searching efficacy and career preparation behavior of department on occupational therapy students. Methods : The subjects of this study were 103 occupational therapy students in D college. The data collection period was from July 1, 2018 to July 30, 2018. The collected data was processed using SPSS 21.0 and were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe's test and Pearson's correlation coefficient. Results : The mean scores for occupational basic competencies, job searching efficacy and career preparation behavior of the occupational therapy students were 3.61 (${\pm}0.59$), 3.58 (${\pm}0.61$) and 3.31 (${\pm}0.66$) respectively. The occupational basic competencies score of the Occupational Therapy students was significantly differed according to their age (t=-2.13, p=.03) and grade point average (F=15.01, p=.00). The job searching efficacy of the Occupational Therapy students was significantly different by grade point average (F=3.40, p=.02). There were no significant differences in job preparation behaviors among occupational therapy students according to gender, age, grade and grade point average. There was a positive correlation between occupational basic competencies and job searching efficacy (r=.675, p<.01), between occupational basic competencies and career preparation behavior (r=.455, p<.01), between job searching efficacy and career preparation behavior (r=.702, p<.01). Conclusion : The results of this study suggest the following: It is necessary to repeat this study with a greater number and range of subjects. In addition, it suggests that the progress of study should be developed and continued and refined in order to identify factors that affect the career preparation behavior of students of occupational therapy. The major purpose of the present research was to examine the effect of adolescents's perception of parents' marital relationship and attachment with their parents on school adjustment. This study also tried to investigate the inter-relationship among related variables, and the differences in the level of school adjustment according to adolescents' general characteristics. The participants were 355 middle and high school students who lived in Chollabuk-Do province. The major results of this research were as follows. First, there were significant differences in the level of school adjustment according to sex, age, and grade point. average That is, the level of school adjustment was higher for males, for older adolescents, and for those recording higher grade point, than for females, for younger, and for those recording relatively lower grade point. Second, parents' marital relationship was positively correlated with positive aspects of attachment with their parents(i.e., communication and trust), and with school adjustment. but negatively correlated with negative aspect of attachment(i.e., alienation from their parents). Finally, multiple regression analyses were performed to analyze the relative significance of the related variables influencing on school adjustment after controlling the effect of sex, age, and grade point. It was found that communication with fathers was the most powerful predictor of school adjustment, while attachment with mothers was not found to be a significant predictor of school adjustment.
Using survey data collected from 275 adolescent children of widowed or divorced single mother families, this study investigated the characteristics of family coping resources, including individual, financial, social, and mother-child relational resources and their effects on the psychological wellbeing of these adolescents. After controlling background variables of the family, higher depression among adolescents was associated with low grade point average, mother's high exposure to negative experiences after loss of father, low attachment to mother, and low sense of self-control. Furthermore, higher grade point average, strong attachment to mother, and high self-control in problem solving were factors predicting higher self-esteem of adolescents. Social network resources were not related to the psychological well-being of the adolescents. Discussion included recommendations for future research. Implications for policy and parent-child relations were discussed with a view to enhancing family functioning of adolescents in single-mother families.

This article analyzes the academic achievement of students who entered A university from 2011 to 2012 using grade point average (GPA). The purpose of this analysis is to find the relationship between admission factors and academic achievement. Contrary to our expectation, GPA of student selected from KSAT is higher than that of selected from CSAT. So, designing and running university entrance type, it is necessary to consider admission factors deliberately.
Purpose - This paper analyzes the student determinants of college non-completion and estimates the effects of each determinant on college non-completion. Design/methodology/approach - We use student panel data from a large Korean university from 2011 to 2021. Our results are from estimation of fixed-effects logit model. Findings - The results show that grade point average, participation in extracurricular activities, the number of counseling sessions with teachers, and financial aid are the main determinants of college non-completion. Academic probation, which is defined as any person who has a cumulative grade point average below a one point seven five, increases the non-completion rate by 2.6 percentage points and an one-point rise in extracurricular activities index reduces the rate by 0.1 percentage points. The effects of each determinant are heterogeneous across student sub-groups which are separated by gender, nationality, and academic discipline. Research implications or Originality - Tailored support programs for academically discouraged students that incorporate student characteristics and backgrounds are necessary to increase college completion rates and degree attainment.

The main aim of the paper is to assess the level of financial literacy among business students. It further aims to investigate the role of external factors that may determine financial literacy. The external factors considered in this study are gender, grade point average, specialization, financial education, and financial socialization. Standard scales such as the Test of Financial Literacy, the Big Three, and other instruments were adapted to measure Financial Knowledge. Further, the study also explored relationships between several factors and the financial knowledge of students. These factors included a student's gender, specialization, number of finance or related courses studied, current Grade Point Average, and financial socialization. A total number of 303 valid responses were received through an online questionnaire administered to business students studying in a public university in the country. Statistical tests namely independent samples t-Test, one-way ANOVA, and correlation analysis were performed in SPSS 28.0. Results show that the overall financial knowledge of students is above average. Gender, number of finance or related courses, and financial socialization do not exhibit any significant relationship with financial knowledge. Current GPA and specialization show significant relationships. The findings of this study have important sectoral and research implications.
