Chosen General Government initiated the activities of collecting and managing the archives from Chosen Dynasty because of necessity to push positively for its colonial policies. Particularly, such efforts of the regime resulted eventually in boosting their understanding on the Korea cultures, as well as contributed to their reigning Korea to an extent. Some aspects that reflect it are as follows. In 1910 Chosen General Government took over, and began to arrange and classify huge volumes of archives that were held by the royal family. During this period, they collected and arranged literatures that they took over from the earlier Korean government. In 1913, Chosen General Government increased enormously the varieties and volumes of the archives that they intended to collect. They started with collecting archives limited to those literatures that had existed in the civil sector before 1894. It can be noticed that just in 1913 Chosen General Government revealed their intention to collect and classify both royal archives and civil archives. With the work of collecting, classification and annotating archives, Chosen General Government commenced the compilation of Chosensa (Korean History). These efforts aimed at cultural assimilation and educating of Korean people, and in this process, the importance of Chosen Dynasty's archives was reconfirmed. One of the representative cases was a change of terminology. With the compilation efforts into full swing since 1915, Chosen General Government repeatedly started to use the term 'Saryo' (historical records) in connection with Chosen's literatures and archives. The term 'Saryo' previously had been used in Japanese literatures, and it is deemed that it was used as a term generally referring to archives of Chosen Dynasty from that time. This signifies that Chosen General Government began to involve their historical point of view in approaching to the archives of Chosen. As they broadened their understanding on Korea through the annotation of old literatures and compilation of Chosen History, they seriously set on the work of assimilating Korean people culturally aiming at gripping its reign on Korea. Archives of Chosen likewise were very crucial basic data for understanding Korea and its people, and Chosen General Government is deemed to have utilized the archives as a means to reign and assimilate Korean people.
This study examined the record destruction problem systematically implemented by the Japanese colonial rule during the wartime period, centering on the persistence of the remaining records of Government-General of Chosen. It became clearer to recognize the historical probabilities that the decisions made by the Japanese cabinet were carried out on official documents in the same way throughout the empire, including mainland Japan and colonies. It was also confirmed that a system for disposing of records, such as reduction and organization of public documents, and recycling of paper resources, has already been established against the backdrop of the situation where the war spread and the war situation worsened after the late 1930s. In addition, it was attempted to extract the types and characteristics of documents discarded by the Japanese colonial rule through a review of the regulations on handling secret documents of the Government-General of Chosen and the regulations on the police department. At the same time, it was found that various chiefs (subsidiaries) that could know the status of documents to be retained or the status of preservation according to the governmental regulations revealed that there was no single book, and this was directly related to the massive destruction of official documents by the Joseon Governor-General immediately after defeat.
The Museum of Chosen General Government(MCGG) was a supreme organ to take charge of business affairs of historical remains Japanese imperial rule. The MCGG was established in Kyongbok Palace in 1915. The MCGG was changed the reorganization of the Chosen General Government(CGG) setups, the MCGG was to maintain the cultural assets, to excavate the ruins and to put on display the remains. However, the Japanese colonist took advantage of the MCGG for political purposes. They didn't use the MCGG to promote the research of Korea culture. Therefore, the MCGG was an organization to belong to the Department of Education of the CGG. In this reason, the MCGG produced the amount of public document to business affairs. Now, This document left in the Museum of Korea. We have seen the document to study the cultural policies and the cultural assets of the CGG. This document includes the abundant information for the historical remains and ruins at that time. Accordingly, this document will help to survey the archaeological research and historical research. In addition, this document will help to manage the cultural assets. What then is the advantage of this document? The first is to see the cultural policies of the CGG through this document. The Japanese colonist took advantage of Korea history, which was low-grade culture, to justify rule of the colony. Therefore, they needed collect Korean assets to verity their theory. The second is to see the administration system of the MCGG. Indeed, this document includes information of organization of the MCGG, the policies and the process of the MCGG. In substance, we can see the systemic proceedings of the MCGG. The third is to provide historical materials to the historian. This document has the persons to plan the colonial culture policy of the MCGG, and events to rule the Korea culture. Moreover, the document of the MCGG would help to inquire into the truthfulness of history and to get the national identity.

The purpose of this paper is to investigate how Japan tried to dominate Chosen through educational policies by analyzing three official English texts published by the Japanese Government-General of Korea: the First Chosen Educational Ordinance declared in 1911, the Manual of Education of Koreans(1913), and the Manual of Education in Chosen 1920(1920). In order to pursue this purpose, the present study carried a corpus-based diachronic analysis, rather then a qualitative analysis. Facilitating text analytics such as Word Cloud and CONCOR, this paper derived the following results: First, the first Chosen Educational Ordinance(1911) includes overall educational regulations, curriculum, and operations of schools. Second, the Manual of Education of Koreans(1913) contains the educational medium and contents on how to educate. Finally, it can be proposed that the Manual of Education in Chosen 1920(1920) contains specific implementation of education and the subject of education.

The years from 1895 to 1915 marked an important period in Korean because it was the start of modern education during which a new school system was developed. In particular, the Government made laws and rules concerning the use of textbooks in schools. In this research information about books in use in schools was obtained from the {School Textbook List} which was drawn up during this period. Science textbooks printed in Korea from 1895 to 1915 were control1ed in their use by the Ministry of Education and the Government General of Chosen. They used the Private School Ordinance, Regulations for Official Examination of Textbooks in 1908, and Law of Publication in 1909 as the main means of controlling textbooks. The official examination of textbooks under the Japanese rule of Korea resulted in an increasing number of science textbooks being banned. While science textbooks had enjoyed more freedom from control by the Government General of Chosen than other textbooks, the situation changed significantly as Japan to intensify the control of all kinds of textbooks in Korea.
This study was carried out to investigate women's labor in the private and public spheres in traditional societies from the Three Kingdom Period to the Chosen Dynasty. This study is based on review of historical literature. It was found that women in the traditional societies from the Three Kingdom Period to the Chosen Dynasty worked not only in private places, such as in households as housewives, but also as slaves in public places such as government offices. Also, women as housewives worked not only to fulfill private needs, but also to pay taxes. In this sense, women in traditional societies participated in labor force in the public arena, not unlike women in industrialized societies who participate in labor market. This research provides a piece of counterevidence against the general belief that women in traditional societies only conducted private housework at home. Therefore this study suggests that we need to rethink gender roles in traditional societies.

The objective of this study is to catch hold of the problem occurring in the process in which librarians have obtained government publications and to show the method that can construct the rational distribution system of government publications. For this study, total 56 librarians who work for 44 institutes sponsored by central government and 12 institutes sponsored by local government were chosen as the objects of research and questionnaire survey to know how to obtain government publications. How to construct the rational distribution system of government publications is as follows. (1) The exclusive organization to manage overall service for government publications should be established newly or previous similar organization should be reorganized. (2) As reinforcing the law concerning deposit copy, government publications should be distributed obligatorily to all of the depository agency, and the depository library system of government publications should be introduced and managed newly. Especially the management of deposit copy and the depository library system of government publications should be undertaken by the exclusive agency of government publications. (3) Free-government publications should be converted to pay-government publications as much as possible so that everyone can purchase government publications easily. And free-government publications which are difficult to convert to pay-government publications should be distributed according to rational standard by the exclusive agency of government publications. (4) Pay-government publications should be sold by private distribution organization under exclusive agency of government publications. Also printing, editing and pricing of pay-government publications should be done by private distribution organization to compete with general books. (5) In order to promote the sales of pay-government publications, the sales centers of government publications must be established even in city and county. Also special government publications which have much demand should be sold even in general book stores. Especially the management of the sales centers should be undertaken by private distribution organization. (6) It is necessary to abolish or improve unreasonable regulations or system related to government publications and to make legislative, institutional devices for government publications. (7) The public relations for government publications should be enforced much through TV or radio etc. , and the various bibliographic tools of government publications should be developed and disseminated for the sake of much utilization of government publications. (8) By using new technology like CD-ROMs or communication networks, electronic production and distribution of government publications should be push ahead positively. And electronic information distribution center to su n.0, pport it should be established by government agency.
The national records management system of the Korean Government has been developed in a close relationship with changes in the administrative system. The national records management system established immediately after the establishment of the Korean Government, began to be reformed as a system with a new feature during the quick transition of the administrative system during the early 1960s. Particularly this new system holds an important meaning in that it began to cope with the mass production system of records and was established on the government level for the first time since the establishment of the government. Also this was a basic framework that defined the records management pattern of the Korean Government for the later 40 years. Therefore, this study aims to identify the origin and the meaning of the national records management system established during the early 1960s. At the time of establishing the government, the administrative system of the Korean Government was not completely free from the framework of the administrative system of the Chosen General Government. This was mainly because the Korean Government had no capability to renovate the administrative system. This was not an exception also for the national records management system. In other words, the forms and preparation methods of official document, an official document management process, and the classification and appraisal system used the records management system of the Chosen General Government without any alteration. Main factors that brought about the reform of the national records management system as well as the change in the Korean administrative system during the early 1960s, were being created in Korean society, starting from the mid 1950s. This resulted from the growth of Korean Army, public officers, and students of administrative science as being the intrinsic elites of Korean society through their respective experience of the US administration. In particular, the reform of the creation, classification, filing, transfer, and preservation system shown during the introduction of a scientific management system of the US Army in the Korean Army was a meaningful change given the historic developing process of Korean records management system history. This change had a decisive effect on the reform of the national records management system during the early 1960s. As the Korean Army, public officers, and students of administrative science, who had posted growth beginning in the mid-1950s, emerged as administrative elites during the early 1960s, the administrative system of the Korean Government brought about a change, which was different from the past in terms of its quality, and the modernization work of documentary administration pursued during the period, became extended to the reform of the national records management system. Then, the direction of reform was 'the efficient and effective control' over records based on scientific management, which was advanced through the medium of the work that accommodate the US office management system and a decimal filing system to Korean administrative circumstances. Consequently, Various official document forms, standards, and the gist of process were improved and standardized, and the appraisal system based on the function-based classification were unified on the government level by introducing a decimal filing system.

This study investigated science textbooks used from 1906 to 1915 in Korea, which is often neglected in previous researches. By doing so, more practical and specific understanding of the science education during that period can be made. It was based on the historical achieves "School Textbook List"(Vol. $4{\sim}9$) which was published by the Ministry of Education and the Government General of Chosen and other sources. The results and conclusions of the research are as follow; (1) The science textbooks which have been used from 1906 to 1915 in Korea can be categorized into three different tapes of books, either written in Chinese, or in Japanese, or in Korean. The names of science textbooks were Nature Study, Physics, Chemistry, Natural History, Hygienics, Physiology, Zoology, Botany, Astronomy, Physiography, Mineralogy, Geology. These names were much broader than those in curriculum settled by the government and rather correspond to the names of science textbooks in curriculum which settled by private schools. Therefore those science textbooks had been mainly used in private schools. Moreover almost all of the science textbooks published in Korea have started to appear after 1906. Since then many schools were newly opened and the number of students increased. It is possible to say that substantial science education in Korea established after 1906. (2) Science textbooks from 1906 to 1915 printed in Korea were controlled in their use by the Ministry of Education and the Government General of Chosen. They were the main means of government regulations, supported by Private School Ordinance, Regulations for Official Examination of textbooks in 1908 and Law of Publication in 1909. According to the result of official examination, as the time went by under the Japanese ruling of Korea, the increasing number of science textbooks were getting banned. While the science textbooks had enjoyed more freedom than the other textbooks from the control by inspection of the Government General of Chosen, the situation has been significantly changed as Japan started to intensity the control of all kinds of textbooks in Korea. Although there were a lot of copied science textbooks, 62 science textbooks printed in Korea, 72 Japanese science textbooks were used in Korea, and 40 Korean were to be engaged in science education compiling and copying science textbooks. There developments in science textbooks alone suggest that there were enormous amount of potentials in Korean science education at that time. However, all of these effects and progresses were destroyed when the sovereign authority of Korea was lost to Japan in 1910.
General lawsuits can be chosen as a method of resolving patent disputes. However, a significant amount of time and money is wasted on litigation until the dispute is resolved. The Intellectual Property Framework Act in Korea requires the government to simplify litigation procedures and improve litigation systems to resolve intellectual property disputes quickly and fairly. As a result, accurate and timely resolution of patent disputes is given importance by the Korean government. Interest in arbitration as an alternative method of dispute resolution is growing. Although dispute resolution through arbitration is effective, the issue of resolving patent disputes through arbitration can lead to the arbitrability of patent disputes. It is therefore necessary to examine arbitrability of patent contracts and validity disputes. Korea has made efforts to reflect the model arbitration law of the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law for quick judicial resolution of patent disputes. Korea has also strengthened related systems for alternative resolutions. However, improving the arbitration system will necessitate a thorough examination of the systems and practices of the United States which is the country in the forefront of intellectual property. This paper examines the arbitrability of Korea's patent dispute and makes recommendations for more efficient dispute resolution system changes.
