The purpose of this study is to compare the similarity of clothing between Modern and Gothic, and between Post-Modern and Renaissance Period. The results are as followes: The beauty of ideal body was changed from unemphasis of body line to emphasis of the erotic espects of body. The style of clothing was changed from simple and functional in order to give freedom in action, to various and complicated in from, and even uncomfortable in order to emphasize individuality. Decoration on clothing like details, trimmings, and various accessories were not prefered in Gothic and Modem Period, but very popular in Post-Modern and Renaissance Period.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the aesthetic characteristics of goth image which have had influence on literature, film, music and art, in modern fashion. The method of this study is to analyze the documentary about gothic and goth, and the fashion magazines since 2000. The results of this study are as follows: First, sensuality shows the excessive exposure of body and inner wear, and emphasizes a resistance of sexual consciousness and a image of independent, active, powerful woman. Second, androgyny shows the goth women wearing a men's cloth and encourages a person to have a perfect being and satisfaction. Third, horror shows the symbol of death and suggests a substance of desire hidden in our mind. Fourth, historicity shows victorian fashion which have a romance of gothic and baroque, not a cult but a modern image. In conclusion, goth image in modern fashion does not show a substance negative and horrorful, but a substance positive as a perfection, satisfaction, a sense of freedom, obliteration of a feeling of uneasiness and powerful woman's image.

Various surgical techniques have been developed for the repair of an interrupted aortic arch. However, tension and Gothic arch formation at the anastomotic site have remained major problems for these techniques: Excessive tension causes arch stenosis and left main bronchus compression, and Gothic arch configuration is related to cardiovascular complications. To resolve these problems, we adopted a modified surgical technique of distal aortic arch augmentation using an autologous main pulmonary artery patch. The descending aorta was then anastomosed to the augmented aortic arch in an end-to-side manner. Here, we report two cases of interrupted aortic arch that were repaired using this technique.

Jane Campion's is a well-known film for a number of reasons, such as for being an Oscar winner, for having been helmed by an emerging director from New Zealand, and for having the reputation of being a feminist film. In this paper, the first scene of was chosen to examine the heroine Ada's language in terms of the gothic genre. Ada is a dumb woman who lives in the era of man's language. She represents the women's social position in the Victorian era but has her own and unique language for communicating with the outside world. The first scene of introduces Ada's own language, using her fingers. Her fingers speak for her all the time instead of her mouth, and there is someone who can understand what she wants to say when all others cannot. How the film depicts Ada's language and how the first scene well summarizes the film's core are examined herein.

The story of Lizzie Borden has served as a creative impetus in the American imagination; following the hundred years after the Borden murders, a remarkable body of creative work has been produced. Ann Schofield asserts that the Borden story has become an "ur-text for the contemplation of power, of patriarchy, [and] of sexuality" (92). In reading Mary Wilkins Freeman's "The Long Arm" (1895), this essay re-considers Schofield's claim that the Borden story and its subsequent renditions enable a revisionary take on female subjectivity and resistance to patriarchal order. More specifically, this essay examines how Freeman's text (one of the first to fictionalize the saga of Lizzie Borden) reflects back the gendered subjectivity in the in the gothic mirror for us to consider whether that reflection began as an image of subjection or that of autonomy.

In order to create denture occlusion that is functional, comfortable and balanced, it is necessary to both determine a vertical dimension of occlusion that is in harmony with the patient's musculature and to record a relatively repeatable jaw relation position. This require clinical skill to establish an accurate, verifiable and reproducible vertical dimension of occlusion (VDO) and centric relation (CR). Correct vertical relation depends upon a consideration of several factors, including muscle tone, inter-dental arch space and parallelism of the ridges. Centric relation is considered to be a repeatable position from which all opening and lateral mandibular movements begin and recording this position is a critical step in the fabrication of dentures. Any errors made while taking maxillo-mandibular jaw relation records will result in denture that are uncomfortable. The purpose of this paper is to review a very simple and efficient technique for accomplishing these two important steps in denture fabrication.

It is essential to record maxillomandibular relationship accurately for the harmony of esthetic and function in complete denture. Gothic arch tracing visually demonstrates the movement of the mandible, and is useful to establish accurate and reproducible centric relation. Proper retention and stability of complete denture in patients with severe alveolar bone resorption is difficult to attain. In such case, the closed mouth impression technique might be recommended. The denture border and impression are determined by patient's physiologic movement in the closed mouth impression technique. And, denture peripheral border is entirely closed with oral mucous membrane. This report presents satisfactory complete denture restoration using closed mouth impression technique and gothic arch tracing in patients with mandibular condyle fracture and severe absorption of mandibular alveolar ridge.

In Geographic Information System, spatial object can be changed in the attribute information, spatial location and the topological relation between them with the change of time. However traditional GIS deletes the old value of aspatial information and replaces them with new value. Therefore. it is difficult to manage thc history of changed spatial object and can not support the spatio-temporal queries including temporal queries. In this paper, we propose a spatio-temporal objected model to solve this problem. We implement the proposed model with spatio-temporal class using Gothic GIS tool. The historical information of an object is stored into the object itself for the effective history management. And, in order to provide the queries for the history of an object and spatio-temporal relationship, we add temporal operators, spatio-temporal operators, and spatio-temporal query operations into Gothic, and improve the facility of the Gothic.

Patients with collapsed occlusal support and unilateral chewing show parafunctional mandibular movements, which can be complicated in older patients. Gothic arch tracing and split cast technique are used to confirm the deviation between centric relation and anterior habitual bite in patient who has oral dyskinesia and collapsed occlusion. Temporary denture as occlusal stabilization appliance was provided for stable occlusion and reproducible mandibular movement. Definitive denture was fabricated by lingualized occlusion concept.
