키토산처리에 의한 텐셀 직물의 개질기능화(I) - 물성 변화를 중심으로 - (Modification of Tencel Fabric Treated with Chitosan ( I ) - Change of Physical Properties -)

  • Chitosan has reactive amino and hydroxyl groups which can be used to chemically alter its properties under the mild reaction conditions. Thus the cationization of Tencel with Chitosan is effective to modify the fabric. To investigate the modified properties of Tencel fabric, the tests were performed under the several finishing process with enzyme/glutaraldehyde/softener. The internal structure of Tencel which has the structure of cellulose II wasn't changed by enzyme, chitosan and crosslinking agent treatment and the thermal stability was improved by chitosan and crosslinking agent treatment. Wrinkle recovery angle under the dry condition increased highly until $0.1\textrm{mol}/\ell$ of glutaraldehyde concentration, and then decreased. Tensile strength of modified Tencel fabric decreased with increasing of weight loss, but it was improved more or less by chitosan, crosslinking agent and softener. Moisture regain was improved by enzyme and chitosan treatment. And antibacterial activity showed nearly 100% on Tencel fabric treated with 0.5% chitosan and adsorption of metal ion increased with increasing of chitosan concentration.

알지네이트 인상체에 대한 상업성 소독제의 효과 (The effect of disinfectants for Alginate impression)

  • To evaluate the effect of disinfectants for Alginate impression, several commercially available disinfectants were tested to Alginate model contaminated by Methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus. Alginate specimens were artificially contaminated by Staphylococcus aureus and soaking in four commercially available disinfectants for 1, 5, 10 minutes and colonies were counted for each case. Significant reduction of bacterial colony counts was noted after soaking in 0.5% and 0.05% sodium hypochlorite and after soaking in 2% glutaraldehyde, but not after soaking in Hypochlorus add. Commercially available sodium hypochlorite and glutaraldehyde were found to be effective disinfectants for Alginate impression. But hypochlorus add was not adequate disinfectant.

  • Using mouse tissue, we studied electron opacity effect of tannic acid for transmission electron microscopic staining. Tannic acid-glutaraldehyde in 0.1M phosphate buffer was used as a fixative. To compare with this we have tested another method consisting of heavy metal staining after treatment of tannic acid in sodium tetraborate (borax) on glutaraldehyde-fixed sections. We have achieved equally consistent electron opacity in both methods. The elastin, collagen, basal lamina of skin and gap junctions of the epithelial cells gave excellent results, while it was good for glycogen, cilia, and plasma. Also fat cells and lipid droplets gave good preservation when tannic acid was added in the fixative. However, prolonged fixation in tannic acid-added fixative was hazardous for further processing, i.e., sectioning problem and deep electron opacity background.

  • Chitosan을 담체로 이용하여 aminoacylase를 고정화하는 조건을 연구한 결과는 다음과 같다. 담체의 최적 activation조건은 pH 6.0, glutaraldehyde 0.2%, 반응시간 120분이었다. 그리고 activated chitosan에 aminoacylase를 고정화하는데 가장 적당한 효소농도는 80mg/20ml 이었고, 이때 coupling time은 90분이 가장 적절하였다.

  • Penicillin sensor was manufactured by immobillizing penicillinase with glutaraldehyde on the $H^+$-selective membrane based on PVC-COOH-TDDA. This membrane was not inter fered by $K^+$ ion in Pc-G potassium salt. When enzyme was immobilized with glutaraldehyde, the PVC-COOH matrix was more effective than PVC matrix. Calibration curve calculated from Nernst equation was not linear. But potential was relative to concentration of Pc-G. And maximal potentiometric velocity was also relative to concentration of Pc-G. Therefore, it may be applied to Michaelis-Menten equation. The penicillin sensor was useful for determination of Pc-G at concentration of 0.1~10mM level.

  • A semi-interpenetrating polymer network (semi-IPN) hydrogel composed of crosslinked chitosan and poly (acrylic acid-co-crotonic acid) was prepared in the presence of glutaraldehyde (GA) as a crosslinker. Fourier-transform infrared, thermogravimetric analysis and scanning electron microscopy were employed to confirm the structure of the semi-IPN hydrogel. The swelling capacity of hydrogel was shown to be affected by the monomers weight ratio, chitosan content, initiator and GA concentrations. The results also indicated that the semi-IPN hydrogel had different swelling capacity at various pHs. Additionally, the swelling behavior of the hydrogel was investigated in aqueous solutions of NaCl, $CaCl_2$, and $AlCl_3$.

  • Poly(vinyl alcohol)(PVA) membranes crosslinked with Glutaraldehyde (GA) were prepared for the separation of acetic acid-water mixtures. For the preparation of the crosslinked membranes, dry PVA films were immersed for 2 days at 40$\circ$C in reaction solutions which contain different content of GA solution(25% GA in water), aceton and a catalyst, HCl. IR spectroscopy was employed to characterize the crosslinking reaction between hydroxyl groups in PVA and aldehyde groups in GA. Swelling measurements of the crosslinked membranes were carried out in both water and acetic acid to investigate the crosslinking density and swelling behaviour of the membranes.

  • 고정화단체로 제조된 다공성실리카를 3-aminopropyl-triethoxysilaneacetone 용액으로 표면처리하고 glutaraldehyde로 전화당효소를 공유결합시켜 진화당효소의 고정 화함량과 고정화활성도를 평가한 겨로가, 고정화함량 1200mg/ g, 활성도 26.9~ 70.2%로 우수한 고정화특성은 나타내였으며, 다상성살리카가 고정화담체로 활용되기 위한 구조직 특성을 가진 것으로 평가된다.

  • 사전유제용 gelatin경화제 중에서 Formai-dehyde, dai;dehyde, n-Methylol 화합물, Ketone, 카르복실산 및 카바밀산과 그 유도체, a-Trizine 경화제에 관하여 고찰하였다. 대부분의 경화제가 gelatin에 있는 -OH기와의 반응으로 가교결합이 생성되며 amino산의 카르복실산과 amido결합으로 가교결합을 이룬다. Glutaraldehyde는 안정성이 뛰어난 Pyridinium을 생성하였으며 Ketone은 2.5-He-xadione이나 3-Hexena-2.5dione이 사용되며 s-Triazine의 Olefinic 경화제는 2.4-dichloro-6-hydroxy-S-Triazine의 나트륨염이 유제경화용으로 사용된다.
