The importance of pharmaceutical additives is increasing and the sorts and application categories are being classified in detail. International pharmaceutical council based on IPEC-America, IPEC-Europe and JPEC was established for specifications, safety and efficacy, approval regulations of pharmaceutical additives in 1992. Therefore, scrutinized examination of pharmaceutical additives used for already approved domestic drug was performed under the supervision of KFDA and nomenclature on application categories of pharmaceutical additives was summarized and endowed their glossary. Additionally, the boundaries of pharmaceutical additives according to the dosage forms based on the principle of the dosage forms of Korean pharmacopoeia were classified. These informations could be available for standards & experimental methods, approval, evaluation, audit of drug and contribution for national welfare.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop an exercise intervention program based on stage of exercise using the Transtheoretical Model (TTM) for patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM). Method : A methodological research design was used to develop the exercise intervention program based on stage of exercise using TTM. Result: The exercise intervention program consisted of theoretical background and goals of program, assessment tool for stage of change, and an exercise intervention program based on stage of exercise. Details for the exercise and a glossary are included, Conclusion : The exercise intervention based stage of exercise can apply for DM patients who are in any stages properly.

The Medical Subject Headings (MeSH) thesaurus is a controlled vocabulary for indexing biomedical documents that is used for document retrieval and other natural language processing purposes. However, although the oariginal English MeSH is freely available, its Japanese translation has a restricted license. We attempted to create an open alternative, and for this purpose we made a script for assigning MeSH UIDs to Japanese medical terms using Japanese-English glossaries. From the MeSpEn glossary and MEDUTX dictionary, we generated a 12,457-word Japanese-MeSH dictionary.

Scientific research is mostly published in English, regardless of the researcher's nationality. However, this growing practice impairs or hinders the comprehension of professionals who depend on the results of these studies to provide adequate care for their patients. We suggest that machine translation (MT) can be used as a way of providing useful translation for biomedical articles, even though the translation itself may not be fluent. To tackle possible mistranslation that can harm a patient, we resort to crowd-sourced validation of translations. We developed a prototype of MT validation and edition, where users can vote for that translation as valid, or suggest modifications (i.e., post-editing the MT). A glossary match system is also included, aiming at terminology consistency.

We propose an algorithm for the automatic acquisition of a bilingual lexicon in the legal domain. We make use of a parallel corpus of bilingual court judgments, aligned to the sentence level, and analyse the bilingual context profiles to extract corresponding legal terms in both languages. Our method is different from those in past studies as it does not require any prior knowledge source, and naturally extends to multi-word terms in either language. A pilot test was done with a sample of ten legal terms, each with ten or more occurrences in the data. Encouraging results of about 75% average accuracy were obtained. This figure does not only reflect the effectiveness of the method for bilingual lexicon acquisition, but also its potential for bilingual alignment at the word or expression level.

Drug delivery systems (DDS) have entered mainstream in the pharmaceutical industry in the recent years. Major pharmaceutical companies as well as small or medium-sized biotechnology companies are developing various DDS-based products. We have established Drug Delivery System Company Database, which is an online searchable database of companies that develop DDS-based products and technologies or supply formulations and/or materials. Company summary, products and key technologies are listed in the database. DDS technology fields also include administration routes and indications of drugs. DDS terminologies, Statistical analysis, Useful Links, Glossary and Comments pages are also provided.

According to the modernization of mathematics education, new abstract concepts such as the concept of sets are introduced in many fields of it. The purpose of this thesis is to adopt the concept of sets to 'probability' which is included in the curriculum of high school matematics education. The considerations of the preceding chapter III, and their obvious generalizations to more complicated experiments, justify the conclusion that probability theory consists of the study of sets. An event is a set, its opposite event is the complementary set; mutually exclusive events are disjoint sets, and an event consisting of the simultaneous occurrence of two other events is a sets obtained by intersecting two other sets it is clear how this glossary, translating physical terminology into set theoretic terminology, may be continued. Furthermore, the important theorems of probability; Additional theorem, multiplication theorem, their applications and so on, are proved by the technical operations of sets. Thinking of the mathematics education introduced by the concept of sets is very important in future.

This study analyzes the availability of access features in children's non-fiction as compared to their prevalence in adult non-fiction because such features are an important part of the research process increasingly demanded of younger and younger students in schools. Access features studied include: table of contents, index, bibliography, endnotes/footnotes, glossary, and suggestions for further reading list. This study found that children's non-fiction books were less likely to include bibliographies or endnotes, but more likely to include glossaries or suggested reading lists. Tables of contents and indexes were the two most popular access features in each section. Results are divided by Dewey Decimal Classification classes.

국가과학기술지식정보서비스(NTIS)는 국가R&D 과제정보를 중심으로 참여인력, 성과(물), 참여기관 등의 정보를 연계하여 제공하고 있다. 각 과제정보는 한글 및 영문 키워드와 과학기술표준분류를 포함하고 있어, 과제정보를 중심으로 한 국가R&D정보 검색 및 분류에 활용하기 적합하다. 이러한 국가R&D정보를 서비스함에 있어 단순 검색을 벗어나 다양한 형태로 가공된 정보를 제공하기 위해서는 국가R&D 정보에 적합한 과학기술용어사전 구축이 필수적이다. 본 논문에서는 국가R&D 과제 키워드를 활용해 국가R&D정보에 적합한 과학기술용어사전을 구축하는 방안을 제안하고자 한다.

본 연구는 법률명 용어의 의미적 성분분석을 통해 '보충적 관계속성'을 도출하고, 이를 구조적 용어사전의 관계속성 설정에 적용하였을 때 용어관계에 나타나는 효과를 확인하는 것을 목적으로 한다. '보충적 관계속성'이란 클래스(범주)별 용어들이 가지는 특징에 기반하여 만든 관계속성을 말하며, 용어사전 구축 시 도출한 관계속성을 반영함으로서 용어 간 관계가 유기적이고 명확하게 표현될 수 있도록 하는 보조적 구축지침의 역할을 하도록 한다. 이를 위해 법원도서관 '법률용어 관련어집의 316개 용어쌍을 분석하여 '보충적 관계속성'을 도출하였으며, 구조적 용어사전 용어에 적용하여 밀도 값과 밀도의 정도를 시각화하여 효과를 확인하였다. 그 결과, '보충적 관계속성' 전, 후의 변화는 적었으나 이는 법률명 용어의 특징으로 인한 결과라는 것을 알 수 있었고, '보충적 관계속성' 반영의 명확한 효과 확인을 위해서는 분석대상용어를 법률명에서 법률관련용어로 확장시켜 연구할 필요성을 확인하였다.
