제3세계 현지인과 함께하는 적정기술 공학설계 워크숍의 교육적 효과 (Educational Effects of an Appropriate Technology Engineering Design Workshop with the People in Need)

  • 본 논문은 적정기술 공학설계 교육 워크숍의 한가지 모델을 제시함을 목적으로 한다. 2008년 여름방학부터 최근 4년간 한동대학교 공학교육혁신센터와 (사)나눔과기술에서 공동 주관하여 실시한 네차례의 전국 대학생 대상의 적정기술 워크숍내용을 제시하고 그 효과를 분석하고자 한다. 본 적정기술 공학설계 워크숍은 공학기술에 대한 연구개발의 대부분이 전세계의 구매력있는 소수의 10%만을 위해서 집중되어 있고 나머지 90%는 공학기술의 혜택에서 소외되어 있다는 문제의식에 기반하고 있기에, 본 워크숍을 "소외된 90%를 위한 공학설계 아카데미"로 명명하여 개최하고 있다. 본 워크숍에서는 대학생들에게 전세계적 빈곤의 문제를 생각하게 하고 세계적 빈부격차 해소에 공학인들이 자신의 전공을 통하여 어떻게 기여할 수 있는지 제시하고 이를 실천할 수 있는 발판을 제공하고자 한다. 그동안의 워크숍 진행에 대한 참여 학생들의 평가 결과는 매우 긍정적이다. 특별히, 2010년 여름부터는 제3세계 소외된 지역의 현지인들을 초청하여 설계문제의 고객의 역할을 부여하여 설계워크숍의 진행에 참여시키고 있다. 학생들과 현지인들로부터 매우 긍정적인 평가를 받고 있다. 더불어 본 적정기술 공학설계 워크숍의 교육적인 효과에 대해서는, 공학교육인증에서 추구하는 학습성과 중, 설계능력 뿐아니라 복합학제적 팀워크, 의사소통, 공학의 사회적 영향력에 대한 이해, 공학윤리, 국제화 등 대부분의 소프트 스킬을 실질적으로 향상시키는 효과를 가지고 있는 것으로 분석 결과에 나타났다.

기독교 대안학교 교사들이 인식하는 교사 전문성의 의미와 성장 방식 (The Meaning and Growth of Teacher Professionalism Recognized by Christian Alternative School Teachers)

  • 본 연구는 기독교 대안학교 교사들이 인식하는 교사의 전문성은 무엇이고 그들의 전문성은 어떻게 성장하는지 찾아보는 것을 목적으로 한다. 전문성은 일반적으로 특정 분야에 필요한 특별한 지식, 기술, 태도를 의미한다. 교사 전문성 역시 주어진 업무를 수행하는데 필요한 능력과 자질, 기술과 행동, 가치를 포함하며, 교사의 생애주기와도 밀접한 관계가 있다. 본 연구는 교사 전문성의 의미와 성장 방식을 탐구하기 위해 설문조사와 면담을 병행한 혼합연구방법으로 자료를 수집하였다. 270여 명의 기독교 대안학교 교사가 참여한 설문조사는 교사의 관심사, 각 전문성 요소의 중요도와 보유 정도, 전문성 개발 노력과 도움 정도를 질문하였다. 심층 면담은 7명의 기독교 대안학교 교사를 대상으로 하였고 이들이 인식하는 교사 전문성의 의미, 교사 자질과 역량, 전문성 성장을 위한 환경을 파악하였다. 분석 결과를 보면 기독교 대안학교 교사들은 기독교적 관점으로 교과를 재구성하는 교과 전문성뿐 아니라 소통, 관계, 소명의식을 전문성으로 강조하였다. 그리고 이들의 전문성 성장에는 소명에 반응하고자 하는 교사의 결단, 지속적인 자기계발, 교사공동체, 자율과 책임이 공존하는 교육환경이 중요한 것으로 나타났다. 결론에서는 교사들의 전문성 성장을 위해서 교사의 생애주기를 고려할 것과 교사 주도적인 전문성 성장의 접근을 제안하였고, 예비교사교육에서 교과 전문성뿐 아니라 소통과 관계능력 향상에 주안점을 둘 것을 강조하였다.

Information Technologies as an Incentive to Develop the Creative Potential of the Educational Process

  • The new millennium is characterized by an unprecedented breakthrough in knowledge and information and communication technologies, and the challenges of the XXI century require modernized paradigms of interaction in all spheres of life. Education continues to play a key role in national and global growth. The key role of education and its leadership in developing creative potential, as the main paradigm of the countries' stability, have significantly influenced educational centers. The developers of educational programs use information technologies as an incentive to develop creative potential of educational process. Professional training of the educational candidate is enhanced by the use of information technologies, so the educational applicants should develop technological skills to be productive members of society. Using the latest achievements in the field of information technologies for the organization of the educational process helps to form the operational style of education applicants' thinking, which provides the ability to acquire skills of processing information, that is presented in the text, graphic, tabular form, and increase the level of general and informational culture necessary for better orientation in the modern information space. The purpose of the research is to determine the effectiveness of information technologies as an incentive to develop creative potential of educational process on the basis of the survey, to establish advantages and ability to provide high-quality education in the context of using information technologies. Methods of research: comparative analysis; systematization; generalization, survey. Results. Based on the survey conducted among students and teachers, it has been found out that the teachers use the following information technologies for the development of creative potential of the educational process: to provide video and audio communication process (100%), Moodle (95,6%), Duolingo (89,7%), LinguaLeo (89%), Google Forms (88%) and Adobe Captivate Prime (80,6%). It is determined that modular digital learning environments (97,9%), interactive exercises tools (96,3%), ICT for video and audio communication (96%) and interactive exercises tools (95,1%) are most conducive to the development of creative potential of the educational process. As a result of the research, it was revealed that implementation of information technologies for the development of creative potential of educational process in educational institutions is a complex process due to a large number of variables, which should be taken into account both on the educational course and on the individual level. It has been determined that the using the model of implementation information technologies for the development of creative potential in educational process, which is stimulated due to this model, benefits both students and teachers by establishing a reliable bilateral connection between teacher and education applicant.

글로벌 공학리더를 양성하기 위한 리더십 역량 연구 (A Study on a Leadership Skill for Cultivating Global Engineering Leaders)

  • This study proposes content and instruction of leadership education based on the results of evaluation and analysis of leadership skill of present levels of students who registered for 'leadership development and training' course which is liberal arts elective course of the 'Accreditation Board of Engineering Education in Korea' and provides best practices to develop leadership skill and to attain academic achievement 2, 4, 6, 7 of 12 academic achievement required by KEC2005. To accomplish a purpose of the study, I divide leadership skill into technical skill, human skill and conceptual skill that suggested by Katz and then measure students' leadership skill. The contents of leadership education to develop and enforce three leadership skills are as follows. First, for developing technical skill, there is a need for systematic education of basic working experience relevant to a major field of study. Second, for developing human skill, there is a need for education of leadership, motivation, conflict management, communication, group dynamics and presentation etc. Third, for developing conceptual skill, there is a need for education of founding vision, business strategy and creative idea etc.

정보기술이 지식경영활동에 미치는 영향: 만도와 포스코 사례를 중심으로 (The Effect of Information Technology on the Knowledge Management Activity from MANDO and POSCO)

  • Information technology instruments arc being rampantly used for knowledge management in companies. IT is used as an interplay tool to enhance the flow of knowledge and information between people. KMS, especially, supports the knowledge management process including sharing, creating, and using of knowledge within a company, and maximizes the value of knowledge resources within an organization. The purpose of this paper is to understand how IT is changing the knowledge management activity. through various examples based on exploratory research from MANDO, the Korean automotive parts manufacturer, and POSCO, the global leading steelmaker. The result shows that IT boosts communication skills, thus creates a mutual relationship outcome. In the same context, the process of knowledge conversion by Nonaka's SECI model simplifies to an Externalization-Internalization process. This process accelerates the birth of explicit knowledge and Socialization, supplements the Limitations of the creation of knowledge in the E-I cycle. The E of knowledge simultaneously promotes the I, and eventually brings an advanced learning skill. IT aids the E of knowledge and furthermore, I and E activity, through the knowledge sharing, brings vitality into an organization. The interplay stage for knowledge activity is to be reorganized to a cyber ba. Furthermore, IT will galvanize the formation of core knowledge through systemized acquisition, management of core knowledge and standardization of work.

패션디자이너 역량모델링 구축 (Fashion Designer Competency Modeling)

  • This study started with the need for transition to competency-based education as well as the witness of fast changes in fashion industry's job environment. The goals of this study were (1) to explore fashion designers' competencies that are necessary for a successful careers in global fashion industry, and (2) to establish fashion designer competency model. In-depth individual interviews were conducted with 15 participants who have charged for design department and moreover have shown high performance in national, licence or designer brands in Korea fashion industry. Grounded theory was adopted to analyze data. As a result of analysis, the 4 core competencies emerged: problem-solving, research, inter-personal, and self-development. Each core competency has sub-competencies. Creativity, commerciality, control, decision making were sub-competencies for the problem-solving competency. Information management, innovation understanding & application, trend analysis & forecasting were sub-competencies for the research competency. Consumer, inside company, and outside company relationships were sub-competencies for the inter-personal competency. Self-awareness, self-management, expertise were sub-competencies for the self-development competency. In order to acquire these competencies, knowledge (academic, practical, multi-discipline), skills (sense, analysis, synthesis, communication), and attitude (interest, enjoyment, perseverance, personality) were essential. Based on these findings, implications for university fashion design education and further research areas were suggested.

A Study on Designing an Education Cooperation Model for HRD in Asia-Pacific Region: Focusing on Education Project of APEC

  • The purpose of this study was to propose an education cooperation model for Human Resources Development (HRD) in Asia-Pacific region in response to environmental changes in business and industry. In order to carry out the model, this study reviewed the key features of human resources in the APEC which is a symbolic regional integration entity in Asia-Pacific region, shaped critical issues related with HRD in this region and then analyzed the trends of education cooperation projects conducted by the APEC in terms of topics, implementation methods and proposing economies of the projects. In result, this study proposed a triangular education cooperation model for HRD consisting of three elements: Voluntary Partnership, Information on Needs and Support for Cooperation. These interconnected and interdependent elements were designed to encourage actors to participate in education cooperative activities with their own willingness, produce and manage research-based information required for sustainable cooperation and support communication and connectivity among actors for effective activities. Also, this study expected that this model would make a commitment to narrowing educational divides, enhancing global-standard skills development, facilitating public and private partnership and organizing the foundation of future education for cultivating creative talents in the era of innovation for APEC members.

의과대학생을 위한 환자안전 교육의 국제적 동향 및 국내 현황 (Patient Safety Education for Medical Students: Global Trends and Korea's Status)

  • This study is a narrative review introducing global trends in patient safety education within medical schools and exploring the status of Korean education. Core competences for patient safety include patient centeredness, teamwork, evidence- and information-based practice, quality improvement, addressing medical errors, managing human factors and system complexity, and patient safety knowledge and responsibility. According to a Korean report addressing the role of doctors, patient safety was described as a subcategory of clinical care. Doctors' roles in patient safety included taking precautions, educating patients about the side effects of drugs, and implementing rapid treatment and appropriate follow-up when patient safety is compromised. The Korean Association of Medical Colleges suggested patient safety competence as one of eight essential human and society-centered learning outcomes. They included appropriate attitude and knowledge, human factors, a systematic approach, teamwork skills, engaging with patients and carers, and dealing with common errors. Four Korean medical schools reported integration of a patient safety course in their preclinical curriculum. Studies have shown that students experience difficulty in reporting medical errors because of hierarchical culture. It seems that patient safety is considered in a narrow sense and its education is limited in Korea. Patient safety is not a topic for dealing with only adverse events, but a science to prevent and detect early system failure. Patient safety emphasizes patient perspectives, so it has a different paradigm of medical ethics and professionalism, which have doctor-centered perspectives. Medical educators in Korea should understand patient safety concepts to implement patient safety curriculum. Further research should be done on communication in hierarchical culture and patient safety education during clerkship.

대학생의 스마트폰 중독, 의사소통 능력, 외로움, 대인관계 건강 간의 관계 (The Relationship among Smartphone addiction, Communication ability, Loneliness and Interpersonal relationship for university students)

  • 본 연구는 대학생의 스마트폰 중독, 의사소통 능력, 외로움, 대인관계 건강 간의 관계를 파악하고 대인관계 건강에 영향 미치는 요인을 확인하기 위해 실시된 서술적 조사연구이다. 2016년 5월 15일부터 5월 31일까지 일 대학생 263명을 대상으로 스마트폰 중독, 의사소통 능력, 외로움 및 대인관계 건강에 대해 구조화된 질문지를 이용하여 자료를 조사하였다. IBMSPSS/WIN21.0프로그램을 이용하여 t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient, Stepwise regression으로 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과 대학생의 스마트폰 사용시간은 평균 5-6시간미만이 63.1%로 우리나라 평균 스마트폰 사용시간인 4.3시간보다 더 많아 스마트폰을 과다사용 하고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 스마트폰 중독은 성별에서 여성이 남성보다(t=2.350, p=.019), 학년에서(F=3.313, p=.021) 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있었다. 대인관계 건강은 성별에서 남성이 여성보다 높은 점수로 유의한 차이가 있었다(t=2.337, p=.020). 스마트폰 중독과 대인관계 건강은 음의 상관관계가 있었으며(r=-0.157, p=.011), 의사소통능력과 대인관계 건강은 양의 상관관계가 있었다(r=0.581, p<.001). 외로움과 대인관계 건강은 상관관계가 없었다. 대인관계 영향을 미치는 최종 회귀모형은 스마트폰 중독(t=2.753, p=.006), 의사소통 능력(t=11.714, p<.001), 스마트폰 구입동기(t=2.125, p=.035)로 구성되었으며 36.6%의 설명력을 보였다. 대학생의 대인관계 건강을 증진하기 위해서는 스마트폰 중독 및 서로간의 의사소통을 원활하게 할 수 있는 해결책이 필요할 것이며 본 연구는 관련된 중재프로그램 개발의 기초자료로 활용될 것을 기대한다.

Development of an Artificial Intelligence Integrated Korean Language Education Program

  • 4차 산업혁명과 인공지능이 대두되면서 사회구조가 변화하고 있으며, 미래 인재 양성을 위한 인공지능 교육에 대한 세계적인 관심이 높아지고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 고등학교 1학년 학습자를 위한 인공지능 융합 국어 교과 교육 프로그램을 개발하는 것을 목적으로 하여 ADDIE 모형에 근거하여 교수·학습 프로그램을 개발하였다. 교육 프로그램의 효과를 평가하기 위해 미래 핵심역량 4C(Collaboration-협업, Communication-의사소통, Critical Thinking-비판적 사고, Creativity-창의력)과 지식정보처리 역량에 대한 사전-사후 검사를 수행하였고 총 9차시 동안 4개의 작은 프로젝트들로 수업을 구성하여 학생들에게 인공지능을 융합한 국어 교과 교육의 새로운 경험을 제공하고자 하였다. 그 결과, 프로그램 적용 학생들은 모든 영역에서 미래 핵심역량의 향상을 나타냈으며, 만족도 및 질적 분석에서도 긍정적인 결과를 도출했다. 이를 통해 본 프로그램이 고등학교 국어 교육에 인공지능을 성공적으로 융합하여 학생들의 미래 인재 양성에 기여 할 수 있는 가능성을 제시하고자 한다.
