As research has shown that export companies are superior in terms of job creation and growth compared to domestic companies, the conversion of domestic companies to export companies will not only result in job creation and increase in exports, but it will also enable the improvement of such companies. It is therefore important to support the export of small and medium sized businesses and maintain their status as export companies with supporting policies. The purpose of this study is to analyze the present state of the export environment of Korean and foreign small and medium sized businesses in order to elicit ideas for establishing strategies for the promotion of export and maintaining the status as an export company.
