차량용 어안렌즈영상의 기하학적 왜곡 보정 (Geometric Correction of Vehicle Fish-eye Lens Images)

  • $180^{\circ}$ 이상의 영역을 획득하는 어안렌즈(fish-eye lens)는 최소의 카메라로 최대 시야각을 확보할 수 있는 장점으로 인해 차량 장착 시도가 늘고 있다. 운전자에게 현실감 있는 영상을 제공하고 센서로 이용하기 위해서는 캘리브레이션을 통해 방사왜곡(radial distortion)에 따른 기하학적인 왜곡 보정이 필요하다. 그런데 차량용 어안렌즈의 경우, 대각선 어안렌즈로 일반 원상 어안렌즈로 촬영한 둥근 화상의 바깥둘레에 내접하는 부분을 잘라낸 직사각형 영상과 같으며, 수직, 수평 화각에 따라 왜곡이 비대칭구조로 설계되었다. 본 논문에서는, 영상의 특징점(feature points)을 이용하여 차량용 어안렌즈에 적합한 카메라 모델 및 캘리브레이션 기법을 소개한다. 캘리브레이션한 결과, 제안한 방법은 화각이 다른 차량용 어안렌즈에도 적용 가능하다.

Ship block assembly sequence planning considering productivity and welding deformation

  • The determination of assembly sequence in general mechanical assemblies plays an important role in terms of manufacturing cost, duration and quality. In the production of ships and offshore plants, the consideration of productivity factors and welding deformation is crucial in determining the optimal assembly sequence. In shipbuilding and offshore industries, most assembly sequence planning has been done according to engineers' decisions based on extensive experience. This may result in error-prone planning and sub-optimal sequence, especially when dealing with unfamiliar block assemblies composed of dozens of parts. This paper presents an assembly sequence planning method for block assemblies. The proposed method basically considers geometric characteristics of blocks to determine feasible assembly sequences, as well as assembly process and productivity factors. Then the assembly sequence with minimal welding deformation is selected based on simplified welding distortion analysis. The method is validated using an asymmetric assembly model and the results indicate that it is capable of generating an optimal assembly sequence.

20세기 초 이탈리아의 실험예술 의상에 관한 연구 (A Study on Experimental Clothing of the Early 20th Century Italian Artists)

  • This study concentrates on the relationship between the early 20th century italian artists and their works in the field of clothing design. They advocated the creation of art for life and introduced a new type of work of art which I will call 'experimental clothing for art'. The experimental clothing for art showed its dynamic characteristics in the field s of line and form, color, pattern, and material. The Italian artists made simple and functionalistic dresses, using asymmetric, geometric cuts. in pattern making. They employed dynamic patterns in textile design and favored brilliant colors which they debunked as storage and traditional. With regard to material, they used unusual materials such as metal, net, wire, and paper and inexpensive materials. To investigations of the visual expression of experimental clothing for art in Italy have led us to the internal expressions which are avant-garde, dynamic & speed, functionality & popularity, ephemeral & transformable, and warlike. As a result of the reflection of the times and the artists's will and roles the experimental clothing for art in Italy implicated contemporary clothing in the early twentieth century and it was only laboratory art that underwent various experiments in canvas but a model of efforts for the at of living, which was anti-traditional. It offered a new future and created a new environment. It is left for future research how the experimental clothing for art developed in countries other than Italian.

준3차원적 공간분포 계측에 의한 액체추력기 인젝터 연료분무의 분열 및 확산 거동에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Disintegration and Spreading Behavior of Fuel-spray Emanating from a Liquid-thruster Injector by Pseudo-3D Spatial Distribution Measurement)

  • 액체추진제 추력기 인젝터로부터 발생하는 분무의 분열과 확산거동을 파악하기 위해 이중모드 위상 도플러속도계(DPDA)를 사용하여 분무액적의 준3차원적 공간분포를 계측하고 도시한다. 분무는 27.6 bar의 분사압력 조건에서 길이-직경비가 1.67인 노즐 오리피스로부터 지면에 수직으로 분사된다. 분무 액적의 수직 및 수평방향 평균속도, SMD, 그리고 체적유속은 분무의 상류/중심에서 하류/외곽으로 이동함에 따라 분무분열에 의해 그 크기가 감소한다. 분무특성 인자들의 대칭적 분포 경향에도 불구하고 그들의 절대값은 노즐 오리피스 중심축을 기준으로 대칭이 아니다.

  • This study analyzed the group of experts who were related to cubism, selected among the works of 2010~2013 Paris Collection based on F.G.R.(Focus Group Research). According to the results of this study, there were appeared first, 'a one-piece dress' second, 'H silhouette' third, 'cotton', in case of item distribution and frequency. The analysis was done by using the manner of expression, cubical expression, exaggeration, distortion, dismantlement, geometrical division of face, mix-match look, wraparound repetition, asymmetric structure, etc. Based on the outcomes of the analysis on figurative design elements, this study adjusted three manners appearing on cubism fashion style. First, it was 'avant garde manner' of constitution or 'dismantlement' which was compiled into multi-view representations of overlaps and viewpoints by repetitive use of color tone trimming detail. Second, it was 'geomagnetic block placement' which expresses cubism with geometric partitioning of surface and separation of panel by cutting disintegration. Finally, it was 'distortion and simplification of silhouette' which is a distortion created by constitution-line pressed thin with silhouette. It maximizes the beauty of human body outline, which was distorted by three-dimensional-manipulation, and simplified by ellipsis for another shape for the extension or expansion of detail trimming.

대면적 후곡판 성형을 위한 블랭크 지지구조 설계 (Design of Blank Support Structure for Large and Curved Thick Plate Forming)

  • As one of the functional metal parts in steam turbine diaphragm assembly, the hollow-partitioned turbine nozzle (stator) has large and thick geometries, as well as an asymmetric configuration. Therefore it is hard to support a metal blank in the die cavity. To ease this situation and control posture and position of metal blank (workpiece), a blank support structure is newly introduced. The blank support structure is basically composed of enlarged arms from the blank, guide pins and linear bearings. It can help to control the intermediate blank without a critical sliding phenomenon. The operation mechanism of this blank support structure, during thick plate forming for the hollow-partitioned turbine nozzle stator, is first evaluated. A series of FEM-based numerical simulations, with respect to the width of the guide arm as geometric design parameters, are carried out to investigate its applicable range. As the results, it is observed the blank support structure for this thick plate forming can guide the workpiece to have stable posture during the plate forming process.

ANSYS Workbench를 활용한 타이어 구조 해석 (Structural Analysis of a Tire using an ANSYS Workbench)

  • Structural analysis of a tire is done using a commercial software, ANSYS Workbench. The properties of rubber of the tire is represented using a Mooney-Rivlin model. The bead in the tire is made of structural steel. 3D CAD model of the tire is obtained from a commercial CAD-specialized software, CATIA. Using an imported 3D CAD geometric model, a mesh system with fifty thousand nodes is constructed using ANSYS. A time-variant point force is applied to the rim of the tire, and the deformation of the tire is computed. It is found that both bending and twisting of the tire are observed where the point force is applied. The deformation of the tire is asymmetric, which results in the help of ripping the tire using the helper. It is also found that the deformation undergoes linearly with the applied force. When the force is larger than 1500N, then the deformation becomes larger than the half of the thickness of the tire. In the future, a more realistic rubber model will be applied and validated with the measured data.

터보차저의 공기맥동음 평가를 위한 측정 및 판별법 (Measurement and Discrimination Method for the Evaluation of Aero-Pulsation Noise Generated by the Turbocharger System)

  • 터보차저가 장착된 승용디젤엔진차량의 주요 소음원 중 하나로 터보차저 회전체의 기하학적 불균형에 기인한 공기 맥동음을 들 수 있다. 이 소음의 주요 발생부는 일반적으로 터보차저의 컴프레서휠로서 소음기와 같은 후처리 장치에 의해 저감될 수 있지만, 제조비용을 증가시키는 요인이 될 수 있다. 보다 효과적인 방법은 전반적인 기하학적 대칭성을 개선하거나 문제가 될 수 있는 단품을 분별해냄으로써 단품 품질을 관리하는 것이다. 제조상의 문제나 기타 여러 관점에서 볼 때, 단품에 대한품질관리가 보다 효과적이고 적합하다고 할 수 있다. 이를 위해서는, 생산 라인상에서 공기맥동음의 수준을 평가할 수 있는 적절한 판별방법이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 공기맥동음의 수준을 정확히 측정할수 있는 방법을 소개하고 그 판별기준도 제시하고자 한다. 또한 리그 측정시스템의 신뢰성 평가과 함께, 리그측정결과와 차량측정결과 간의 상관관계도 분석하였다. 25개 샘플에 대한 측정 재현성 검증을 위해 게이지 R&R 기법을 활용하였다. 이와같은 측정 및 분석 결과로부터, 공기맥동음 관점에서 단품의 우열을 판별할수 있는 표준관리값을 제시할 수 있었다.

Influence of electro-magneto-thermal environment on the wave propagation analysis of sandwich nano-beam based on nonlocal strain gradient theory and shear deformation theories

  • In this paper, the dispersion characteristics of elastic waves propagation in sandwich nano-beams with functionally graded (FG) face-sheets reinforced with carbon nanotubes (CNTs) is investigated based on various high order shear deformation beam theories (HOSDBTs) as well as nonlocal strain gradient theory (NSGT). In order to align CNTs as symmetric and asymmetric in top and bottom face-sheets with respect to neutral geometric axis of the sandwich nano-beam, various patterns are employed in this analysis. The sandwich nano-beam resting on Pasternak foundation is subjected to thermal, magnetic and electrical fields. In order to involve small scale parameter in governing equations, the NSGT is employed for this analysis. The governing equations of motion are derived using Hamilton's principle based on various HSDBTs. Then the governing equations are solved using analytical method. A detailed parametric study is conducted to study the effects of length scale parameter, different HSDBTs, the nonlocal parameter, various aligning of CNTs in thickness direction of face-sheets, different volume fraction of CNTs, foundation stiffness, applied voltage, magnetic intensity field and temperature change on the wave propagation characteristics of sandwich nano-beam. Also cut-off frequency and phase velocity are investigated in detail. According to results obtained, UU and VA patterns have the same cut-off frequency value but AV pattern has the lower value with respect to them.

Increase In Mean Alveolar Pressure Due To Asymmetric Airway Geometry During High Frequency Ventilation

  • During high frequency ventilation (HFV), mean alveolar pressure has been measured to increase with mean airway opening pressure controlled at a constant level in both humans and experimental animals. Since this phenomenon could potentiate barotrauma limiting advantages of HFV, the present study theoretically predicted the difference between menu alveolar and airway opening pressures ($MP_{alv}$). In a Weibel's trumpet airway model, approximated formula for $MP_{alv}$ was derived based on momentum conservation assuming a uniform velocity profile. The prediction, equation was a func pion of gas density($\rho$), mean flow rate(Q), and diameter of the airway opening where the pressure measurement was made($D_0$) : $MP_{alv}=4{\rho}(Q/D_0^{2})^2$. This was a result of the difference in crosssectional area between the alveoli and the airway opening. A simple aireway model experiment was performed and the results well fitted to the prediction, which demonstrated the validity of the present analysis. Previously reported $MP_{alv}$ data from anesthetized dogs in supine position were comparable to the predicted values, indicating that the observed dissociation between mean alveolar and airway opening pressures during HFV can be explained by this innate geometric (or cross-sectional area) asymmetry of the airways. In lateral position, however, the prediction substantially underestimated the measurements suggesting involvement of other important physiological mechanisms.
