  • Preliminary investigations were carried out to isolate the constituents from the stems of genus Thalictrum. Methanol extracts of eight species from the genus were examined by thin layer chromatography. The author observed three different spots with Dragendorff's reagent in Thalictrum actaefolium, whereas none was detected in Thalictrum tuberiferum and Thalictrum simplex. Various fluorescent colors with different Rf values were detected in all species by UV ray, suggesting that each species may have different components.

  • This study is about the five species of the genus Thalictrum growing abundantly in South Korea. Dried roots of plants; T. aquilegifolium var. japonica, T. simplex var. affine, T. actaefolium, T. tuberiferum were compared by morphological observation and screening test on the ingredient extracted by methanol, ether etc.. The experiments by thin-layer chromatography was at tempted to find out the similarity and the difference among them. In conclusion, the author found that: 1) A special component similar to coumarin was found under UV-ray from T. actaefolium. 2) By thin-layer chromatography, they show the corresponding spot supposed to be that of berberine and magnoflorine according to the $T_{ABLE}\;IV$. Therefore it is worthwhile considering that Thalictrum species would be a substitution for Epimedium species used as a tonic. 3) Thalictrum species has resemblance of ingredient and chemotaxonomy gives more help to classify them than the morphology.

  • We used Maximum parsimony and Neighbor-joining to investigate phylogenetic relationship of the genus Thalictrum in Korea with 39 morphological characters. The plant materials were used for ingroup 21 taxa and outgroup 1 taxon including a Korean endemic plant. This study confirmed that Sect. Thalictrum and Sect. Camptonotum formed monophyletic group by 100% and 83% bootstrap values respectively, and Sect. Camptonotum appeared to be Sect. Thalictrum's sister group. Sect. Erythrandra and Sect. Physocarpum formed paraphyletic groups. Sect. Physocarpum except T. osmorhizoides appeared to be polytomy. Sect. Tripterium and Sect. Omalophysa formed an independent clade. The shape of stamen is the important character representing the phylogenetic pattern of the genus Thalictrum; the bat and filiform types might be derived from clavate type. The pollination patterns (entomophily, anemophily), and presence of calyx at flowering time may also be related to the evolution of the Thalictrum flowers.

  • Three phenolic alkaloid compounds (A,B,C) were isolated from the roots of Thalictrum uchiyamai Nakai (Ranunculaceae). Compound A, a colorless crystalline substance $mp168^{\circ}$, $C_{11}H_{15}NO_2$ was identified to be corypalline (6-methoxy-7-hydroxy-N-methyl-1, 2, 3, 4-tetrahydroisoquinoline) which has been reported by Wu from Thalictrum rugosum. Compound B, $mp166^{\circ}$ and Compound C, $mp164^{\circ}$ were shown aromatic rings by UV, IR spectra and chiral center by CD.

  • The purposes of this study were to clarify of floristic composition and the landscape structure on the habitats of three Thalictrum plants, which were distributed in Daejeon, Korea. Floristic composition of habitats was organized by living in flatten open space needed a lot of sunlight and humidity. Landscape ecological structure of habitats was defined by soils of loamy skeletal mesic, slope between 25 to 30$^{\circ}$ Vegetation rating was 75 percent of woody coverage at less than 450 m above the sea levels, respectively. Distribution patterns of Thalictrum plants in Daejeon were presented on the 1 km X 1 km grid map.

  • The trnL-F region islocated in the large single-copy region of the chloroplast genome. It consists of the trnL gene, the trnL intron, and the trnL-F IGS. Molecular evolution and phylogenetic relationships in Korean Thalictrum L. were investigated using data from the cpDNA trnL-F region. Bayesian and parsimony analyses of the data set with the gap characteristics recovered well-resolved trees that are topologically similar, with clades supported by some indels evolution. Indel events of cpDNA trnL-F in Korean Thalictrum were interpreted as phylogenetically informative characteristics. Sect. Physocarpum (excluding T. osmorhizoides) was an early-diverging group with in the genus and the remaining section formed strongly supported clades. Korean Thalictrum has various evolutionary patterns, such as the spatial distribution of the nucleotide diversity and transversion-type base substitutions in the trnL-F region.

  • This study is carried out through ecological situation of native Bupleurum latissimum habitats and the research of environmental conditions for conservation of native sites, restoration of alternative habitats and preliminary data for application of useful medicinal plant. Native Bupleurum latissimum habitats were distributed on lower and middle part of the mountain from Altitude 54m to 185m, and the directions of slope were researched as usually northen and western slope. As a result of phytosociological research in 12 stands of native Bupleurum latissimum habitats, they were seperated to two communities(Bupleurum latissimum typical community and Bupleurum latissimum-Galium spurium community) in accordance with containable rate of the organic matter and soil hardeness. Soil condition is usually constituted as loamy sand and clay loam. Bupleurum latissimum is propagated in valuable soil conditions. Bupleurum latissimum lives with Morus bombycis, Reynoutria sachalinensis in Bupleurum latissimum typical community and Thalictrum aquilegifolium, Stellaria media, Hedera rhombea etc. is appeared with Bupleurum latissimum in Bupleurum latissimum-Galium spurium community. Especially, companion species were researched as Aster glehni, Dystaenia takeshimana and so on. The flora of vascular plants in this study is 44 families, 88genus 82species, 2 subspecies, 14 varietas, 4 forma and total 102 taxa. Plants of compositae occupied 10.78% among whole of them.

  • This study is aimed at identifying the distribution of vascular plants growing at Byeollipsan(Mt.), Bongchunsan (Mt.) and Gucksoosan(Mt.) in Ganghwa isand. Field surveys were conducted for each season from March 2015 to October 2015. The flora of study area were found to be of 455 taxa, 93 families, 280 genus, 392 species, 4 subspecies, 53 varieties and 6 forma. Rare plants were found to be of 3 taxa. Among them, rare plant species consisted of endangered species (EN degree):1 (Thalictrum simlex var. brevipes Hara), vulnerable species (VU degree): 2 (Wikstroemia trichotoma (Thunb.) Makino, Scorzonera albicaulis Bunge), respectively. In all the surveyed areas, a total of 6 taxa (Clematis brachyura Maxim. etc.) were found to be endemic to Korea. The floristic special plants found in the surveyed areas were 1 taxa of grade Ⅴ, 4 taxa of grade Ⅳ and 8 taxa of grade Ⅲ, respectively. The naturalized plants were identified as 29 taxa and included Fallopia dumetorum (L.) Holub, Ambrosia artemisiifolia L., Aster pilosus Willd. etc..
