보육실습이 예비보육교사의 보육효능감에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Practice on Student Teachers' Perceived Efficacy for Child Care and Teaching)

  • This study investigated the effects of Child Care and Teaching(CCT) practice on student teachers'(N=361) perceived Efficacy for Child Care an Teaching(ECCT), including relationships between ECCT and generalized self-efficacy. Instruments were the ECCT scale, the generalized self-efficacy scale, and self-evaluation concerning CCT. Research design consisted of pre-test, CCT practices. and post-test. Results showed that ECCT scores increased after CCT practice: ECCT was related with generalized self-efficacy and to self-evaluation concerning CCT. These findings suggested that CCT experience is important to student teachers' perceived ECCT, and ECCT, in turn, is a predictor of actual CCT behavior.

Do Therapeutic Interventions Exist in Online Games? Effects of Therapeutic Catharsis, Online Game Self-Efficacy, and Life Self-Efficacy on Depression, Loneliness, and Aggression

  • This study explored potential therapeutic mechanisms of playing preferred online games as predictors of therapeutic interventions for players' psychosocial factors (i.e., aggression, depression, and loneliness). Based on theories of catharsis, the generic model of psychotherapy, we took a therapeutic approach to integrate these perspectives. We created a path model describing how therapeutic catharsis-seeking, online game self-efficacy, and life self-efficacy were associated with psychosocial factors of aggression, depression, and loneliness, including generalized sub-constructs of each factor as multi-dimensional sources. We analyzed the path model using data of 1,227 online game players in Korea. Our results indicated that therapeutic catharsis-seeking could alleviate aggression via favorite game playing. Life self-efficacy was a primary predictor for alleviating depression and loneliness. However, online game self-efficacy was positively associated with depression and loneliness. Implications of these findings are discussed.

일본 간호학생의 학습포트폴리오를 활용한 임상실습교육의 학습경험과 자기주도학습능력 및 자기효능감 (Japanese Nursing Students' Learning Experience, Self-directed Learning Ability, and Self-efficacy in Nursing Practice Utilizing Portfolios)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to investigate the learning experience, self-directed learning ability and self-efficacy of Japanese nursing students undergoing portfolio-based clinical practicums. Methods: The self-directed learning ability and self-efficacy of nursing students were examined using two scales. And using a text-mining approach, we constructed correspondence analysis followed by cluster analysis of open-ended responses forms. Results: The mean score of the self-directed learning ability was $60.89{\pm}5.28$ and the generalized self-efficacy was $68.37{\pm}11.56$. Moreover, the scores in the self-directed learning ability were positively correlated with scores in the generalized self-efficacy. In correspondence analysis, the distribution of extracted words showed that record was located on the negative side of the third quadrant, to the first principal component and that patient was located on the positive side of the first quadrant, contributing greatly to the second principal component. Conclusion: The results of this study contribute to approaching to "confidence, pride, stability," "growth and intention to development'' offers a key in developing self-directed learning ability. Students record what they see and learn the importance of visualizing it in learning portfolios. "Expression in detail of the learned contents" and "concerning to which objective evaluation is suggested" are important to the students.

자기효능ㆍ희망증진프로그램이 자기간호 행위와 삶의 질에 미치는 효과 -백혈병 환자 중심- (Effects of a Program to Promote Self-Efficacy and Hope on the Self-Care Behaviors and the Quality of Life in Patients with Leukemia)

  • Most patients having leukemia suffer severely from emotional turmoil due to the generalized perception that cancer will be fatal. The conventional chemotherapy results in side effects such as severe bone marrow depression which interfere with self-care management, vital for improvement in their condition. Bandura's theory of the self-efficacy suggests that self- efficacy can be enforced by performance attainments, vicarious experiences, verbal per-suasion and the release of emotional arousal. Self-efficacy can be enforced by a program of vicarious experiences and verbal persuasion, while the emotional arousal can be relieved through a hope promotion program, If once self-efficacy increases, the patient's self-care behaviors and the quality of life will also increase. The purpose of this study was to empirically test the effects of a program, to promote self-efficacy and hope, on self-care behaviors and quality of life in patients having leukemia. In this study, three types of approaches to enhance self-efficacy and hope were used : 1) a 20-minute long slide /tape for vacarious experiences : 2) a 10-minute long telephone call coaching for verbal persuasion ; and 3) two booklets for information about the symptoms of leukemia and treatment modalities and hope promotion. Thirty one patients were recruited in the experimental group and 29 in the control group with a nonequivalent pretest-posttest design. The subjects were patients with leukemia undergoing chemotherapy. Sherer and Maddux's self-efficacy scale, Nowotny's hope scale, and Padilla's quality of life scale were employed with some modifications. A self-care behavior scale was developed by the researchers. Statistical analyses including paired t-test, Chi-square, ANCOVA and ANOVA, were used. The results are as follows : The levels of self-efficacy, self-care behavior and quality of life were higher in the experimental group than in the control group after four weeks of intervention(F=28.71, P=.0001 ; F=63.35, P=.0001 F=16.57, P=.0001). After ten weeks of intervention, all of the dependent variables(self-efficacy, self-care behavior, hope & quality of life) in the experimental group were higher than in the control group (F=74.12, P=.0001 ; F=108.34, P=.0001 ; F=13,11, P=.001 : F=43.52, P=.0001). In conclusion, self-care behavior and quality of life increased mainly through an increase in self-efficacy, while increases in hope took more time and effort.

Effects of a Case-Based Sepsis Education Program for General Ward Nurses on Knowledge, Accuracy of Sepsis Assessment, and Self-efficacy

  • Purposes: Sepsis is a critical condition in which nurses should detect clinical manifestations and provide early intervention to prevent unwanted serious conditions in the patients. The initial occurrence and management of sepsis take place in general units, but there is a lack of knowledge in nurses. The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of a case-based sepsis education program and compare the case-based education program with and without smartphone applications. Methods: A quasi-experimental pre-test-post-test design with a control group was used. We provided a case-based education program with and without smartphone applications to the nurses and tested the effects of the program on knowledge, the accuracy of sepsis assessment, and self-efficacy as outcome variables. A total of 60 nurses in general units participated. To test differences in knowledge, the accuracy of sepsis assessment, and self-efficacy regarding sepsis between the groups over time, a mixed-design ANCOVA was used for parametric analysis, and generalized estimating equations (GEE) were used for nonparametric analysis. Results: There were significant differences in knowledge, the accuracy of sepsis assessment, and self-efficacy between the groups and within the groups over time. The intervention groups treated with the case-based education program showed improved outcome variables compared to the control group. There was no difference between case-based education with the smartphone application or without the application. Conclusions: The case-based education improved knowledge, the accuracy of sepsis assessment, and self-efficacy in the care of sepsis by nurses working in the general wards. The results suggest that the case-based education program for nurses was effective and eventually improved patient health outcomes.

  • Objective: In this case report, we address the case of a 22-year-old man complaining of generalized tonic-clonic seizures due to drug-resistant epilepsy. Methods: A patient was treated with Korean medicine, including herbal medication, Shihogyeji-tang (SGT), and acupuncture. We evaluated improvements in symptoms using the Korean version of the Epilepsy Self-Efficacy Scale and quality of life. Results: After 37 days of Korean medicine treatment, there were improvements in the patient's quality of life and self-efficacy in seizure control. Conclusions: This case report suggests that SGT and acupuncture might be effective in drug-resistant epilepsy via action on neurons. SGT showed excellent tolerability for drug-resistant epilepsy patients. Our experience provides evidence that SGT and acupunctue may be used as alternative treatment options when antiepileptic drugs do not work in epilepsy patients.

유방암예방 자원봉사활동에 참여한 유방암 생존자들의 자기효능감, 우울 및 외상 후 성장의 변화 (Changes of Self-efficacy, Depression, and Posttraumatic Growth in Survivors with Breast Cancer Participating Breast Cancer Prevention Volunteering)

  • 본 연구는 유방암예방 자원봉사활동을 통한 유방암 생존자들의 자기효능감, 우울, 및 외상 후 성장의 장기적 효과를 탐색하기 위해 실시되었다. 본 예비연구는 종단적 방법을 이용하였으며 참여자는 유방암예방교육프로그램에 참여한 유방함 생존자 14명이었다. 자료는 2013년 2월부터 8월까지 수집되었으며 자가보고식 설문지를 이용하여 유방암 자가관리에 대한 자기효능감, 우울, 및 외상 후 성장을 교육 전(T0), 교육 후 1개월(T1), 교육 후 3개월(T2), 교육 후 6개월(T3)에 각각 측정하였다. 효과분석을 위해 일반화 추정 방정식을 사용하였다. 자기효능감 점수는 T0과 비교했을 때 T1(${\chi}^2$=5.56, p=.018),T3(${\chi}^2$=4.56,p=.033)시점에 유의하게 증가하였다. 6개월 동안 우울은 일반인에 비해 낮은 수준으로 큰 변화가 없었고 외상 후 성장은 비교적 높은 점수가 유지되었다. 이러한 결과는 유방암 생존자들의 유방암예방 자원봉사활동이 자기효능감을 향상시키고 심리적 안녕을 유지하는데 효과적일 수 있음을 시사한다. 유방암 생존자의 유방암예방 자원봉사활동은 일반인 뿐 아니라 참여한 유방암 경험자들에게도 유용한 교육프로그램임을 보여주었다.

Development and effects of a webtoon education program on preventive self-management related to premature labor for women of childbearing age: a randomized controlled trial

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop a webtoon education program on preventive self-management related to premature labor (PSM-PL) for women of childbearing age, to evaluate its effects, and to assess the usability of webtoon education for women of childbearing age. Methods: The study design was a stratified randomized trial with repeated measures. The participants were Korean women of childbearing age (between the ages of 19 and 49 years), with 49 participants each. The preventive health management self-efficacy related to premature labor (PHMSE-PL) scale, the preventive self-management knowledge related to premature labor (PSMK-PL) scale, and usability of webtoon education were assessed. The intervention group read six episodes of the PSM-PL webtoon within 2 days after clicking an online link. The control group did not receive anything but was given the webtoon after the last measurement. To test the effect of the repeatedly measured variables, a generalized estimating equation model was used. Results: The experimental group had statistically significantly greater increases in PHMSE-PL and PSMK-PL scores from baseline to immediately after and 2 weeks later than the control group. The average score for usability of webtoon education was high (4.52; standard deviation, 0.62) on a scale of 1-5. Conclusion: This webtoon education program on PSM-PL was a feasible and acceptable program that increased self-efficacy and knowledge of preventive health management of premature labor in women of childbearing age. Future studies that adopt a webtoon format can be beneficial for childbearing women with other risk factors.

일부지역 종합병원 행정직원의 조직공정성, 자아존중감 및 자기효능감이 직무스트레스에 미치는 융복합적 영향 분석 (Analysis of Convergent Influence of Organizational Justice, Self Esteem and Self Efficacy on Occupational Stress among Some Regional General Hospital Administrative Staff)

  • 본 조사는 일부지역 종합병원 행정직원들의 조직공정성, 자아존중감 및 자기효능감과 직무스트레스 간의 관련성을 파악하고 직무스트레스에 미치는 융복합적 영향을 분석하였다. 자료수집은 2016년 11월 1일부터 2017년 1월 31일까지 구조화된 무기명 자기기입식 설문지를 통하여 시행되었으며, 조사대상은 임의로 선정된 J시의 11개 종합병원 행정직원 221명으로 하였다. 직무스트레스는 조직공정성의 절차공정성과 분배공정성, 자아존중감 및 자기효능감과는 음의 상관관계를 보였다. 공분산구조분석 결과, 종합병원 행정직원들의 조직공정성, 자아존중감, 자기효능감 및 직무스트레스의 인과관계를 확인하였으며, 조직공정성의 절차공정성 및 분배공정성이 높아질수록, 자아존중감이 높아질수록, 자기효능감이 높아질수록, 직무스트레스를 감소시키는 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 볼 때, 종합병원 행정직원의 직무스트레스와 관련된 조직공정성, 자아존중감 및 자기효능감을 관리하는 노력이 필요하다. 분석결과는 종합병원 행정직원의 직무스트레스를 낮추는 조직 및 인사관리에 활용될 수 있다. 추후연구에서는 종합병원 행정직원의 직무스트레스에 영향을 미치는 융복합적인 추가요인에 대한 조사가 필요하다.

그룹 음악심리치료 프로그램이 장애아동 어머니의 양육 스트레스와 자기효능감에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of a Group music psychotherapy program on Parenting Stress, and Self-Efficacy in Mothers of Children with Disabilities)

  • 장애아동의 부모, 특히 주양육자가 되는 어머니는 자녀를 양육함에 있어 자녀의 장애로 인해 많은 어려움을 겪는다. 이들은 자녀 양육에 대한 현실적, 심리적 부담감으로 인해 스트레스가 많으며 이로 인해 점차적으로 자신의 능력에 대한 신뢰가 감소되어 무력감을 경험하는 경우가 많다. 본 연구에서는 그룹 음악심리치료 프로그램을 초등학교 특수학급 학부모들에게 적용함으로써 그룹 음악심리치료 프로그램의 실시가 참여자들의 양육 스트레스와 자기효능감에 미치는 영향을 알아보고 아울러 프로그램에 참여한 참여자들의 경험이 의미하는 바를 알아보았다. 연구 참여자는 경기도 부천시내에 위치한 초등학교 특수학급에 재학 중인 장애아동의 어머니 20명이며 이들을 실험집단과 통제집단에 각각 10명씩 배치하였다. 실험집단의 어머니는 약 8주에 걸쳐 15회기로 진행된 그룹 음악심리치료 프로그램에 참여하였다. 그룹 음악심리치료 프로그램이 양육스트레스와 자기효능감에 미치는 영향을 측정하기 위한 도구로는 '부모의 양육 스트레스 척도(Parenting Stress Index/Short Form: PSI/SF)'(Abidin, 1990)와 '자기효능감 척도(The Generalized Self-Efficacy Scale: GSE)'(Tipton & Worthington, 1984)를 사용하였다. 결과의 검증을 위하여 실험집단의 사전 사후 차이점수와 통제집단의 사전 사후 차이점수에 대해 독립표본 t검정을 실시하였다. 한편 그룹 음악심리치료 프로그램 참여자(실험집단)의 양육 스트레스와 자기효능감의 구체적인 변화를 알아보기 위하여 연구자가 개발한 프로그램 평가 질문지를 참여자들이 작성하도록 하였으며 프로그램의 마지막 세션에서 실시한 그룹 토론을 통해 얻게 된 내용을 녹음하여 자료를 수집한 후 전사된 자료를 바탕으로 알아보았다. 본 연구의 결과는 첫째, 그룹 음악심리치료 프로그램에 참여한 장애아동의 어머니(실험집단)의 양육 스트레스, 자기효능감의 변화정도는 통제집단의 양육 스트레스, 자기효능감의 변화정도보다 유의하게 큰 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 그룹 음악심리치료에 참여한 어머니들의 경험에 대한 프로그램 평가 질문지와 녹취 자료를 분석한 결과 양육 스트레스의 감소에 영향을 준 구체적인 경험의 변화는 '자녀에 대한 인식의 긍정적인 변화', '스트레스의 해소', '삶의 여유 공간 인식', '감정의 공유'의 4개의 하위영역으로 나타났다. 또한 자기효능감의 증진에 영향을 준 구체적인 경험의 변화는 '나의 발견', '새로운 자극', '심리적 지지'의 3개의 하위영역으로 나타났다. 평가 질문지와 녹취 전사본에서 도출된 내용들의 의미를 고찰해 볼 때 그룹 음악심리치료 프로그램에 참여한 장애아동의 어머니들은 자녀 양육에 있어 스트레스가 감소되고 자신감이 증진됨을 경험하였음을 알 수 있었다. 이와 같은 연구결과는 장애아동의 양육으로 심리적인 부담감과 스트레스를 경험하고, 자기 자신에 대한 믿음이 부족한 어머니들에게 그룹 음악심리치료 프로그램이 이들의 정서적인 안정과 자신감 획득에 긍정적인 영향을 줄 수 있다는 것을 시사한다.
