This research explored the impact the thoughts and opinions of lecturers teaching university general English courses have on their virtual classes and discussed the differences and similarities in their perspectives. As a research methodology, the Q-method was used, which usually consists of five steps: Q-population, Q-statements, Q-participants, Q-sorting, and factor analysis using PQMethod, a computer software program. A total of 30 statements were finally selected and 26 people directly involved in teaching online university general English courses were selected as participants in this study. Based on the results of the factor analysis, this research discovered three different factors, which were interaction & content-oriented, online teaching favored, and content-oriented. The results of this study can contribute to developing the future directions of virtual university general English classes to help learners improve their English skills and prepare lecturers for the future.

This study aimed to analyze the learning contents related to biotechnology in life science II and general engineering based on the 2015 revised national curriculum and discuss pedagogical implications for biotechnology education. The main findings were as follows: First, while the learning topics of life science II focused on the ethical aspects related to biotechnology, the learning topics of general engineering focused on the industrial aspects of biotechnology. Second, there were types of overlapping biotechnologies in the life science II textbooks and general engineering textbooks. However, the life science II textbooks provided more scientific and professional descriptions of biotechnology principles than the general engineering textbooks. Also, the life science II textbooks provided more specific overall explanations than the general engineering textbooks. There was a lack of ethical considerations concerning biotechnology in the general engineering textbooks. These findings imply that it is necessary to reorganize biotechnology content based on each school's curriculum and student characteristics.

Social media is an emerging issue in content services and in current business environment. YouTube is the most representative social media service in the world. YouTube is different from other conventional content services in its open user participation and contents creation methods. To promote a content in YouTube, it is important to understand the diffusion phenomena of contents and the network structural characteristics. Most previous studies analyzed impact factors of contents diffusion from the view point of general behavioral factors. Currently some researchers use network structure factors. However, these two approaches have been used separately. However this study tries to analyze the general impact factors on the view count and content based network structures all together. In addition, when building a content based network, this study forms the network structure by analyzing user comments on 22,370 contents of YouTube not based on the individual user based network. From this study, we re-proved statistically the causal relations between view count and not only general factors but also network factors. Moreover by analyzing this integrated research model, we found that these factors affect the view count of YouTube according to the following order; Uploader Followers, Video Age, Betweenness Centrality, Comments, Closeness Centrality, Clustering Coefficient and Rating. However Degree Centrality and Eigenvector Centrality affect the view count negatively. From this research some strategic points for the utilizing of contents diffusion are as followings. First, it is needed to manage general factors such as the number of uploader followers or subscribers, the video age, the number of comments, average rating points, and etc. The impact of average rating points is not so much important as we thought before. However, it is needed to increase the number of uploader followers strategically and sustain the contents in the service as long as possible. Second, we need to pay attention to the impacts of betweenness centrality and closeness centrality among other network factors. Users seems to search the related subject or similar contents after watching a content. It is needed to shorten the distance between other popular contents in the service. Namely, this study showed that it is beneficial for increasing view counts by decreasing the number of search attempts and increasing similarity with many other contents. This is consistent with the result of the clustering coefficient impact analysis. Third, it is important to notice the negative impact of degree centrality and eigenvector centrality on the view count. If the number of connections with other contents is too much increased it means there are many similar contents and eventually it might distribute the view counts. Moreover, too high eigenvector centrality means that there are connections with popular contents around the content, and it might lose the view count because of the impact of the popular contents. It would be better to avoid connections with too powerful popular contents. From this study we analyzed the phenomenon and verified diffusion factors of Youtube contents by using an integrated model consisting of general factors and network structure factors. From the viewpoints of social contribution, this study might provide useful information to music or movie industry or other contents vendors for their effective contents services. This research provides basic schemes that can be applied strategically in online contents marketing. One of the limitations of this study is that this study formed a contents based network for the network structure analysis. It might be an indirect method to see the content network structure. We can use more various methods to establish direct content network. Further researches include more detailed researches like an analysis according to the types of contents or domains or characteristics of the contents or users, and etc.

The aims of this study are to analysis about the contents associated with the ocean environment compared 17 special-subject textbooks to 2 common-subject textbooks, and to make some proposals for construction of contents. The results of it are as follows; 1. Only 17 books among 36 textbooks taught by the fisheries and marine high schools are contained to some contents related with ocean environment. The contents associated with the ocean environment take possession of 90%, 62% each of total pages in the textbooks, 'ocean pollution' and 'ocean environment'. 2. Of compulsory texts, namely, 'general fisheries', 'general ocean' and 'information treatment of fisheries-marine', the former 2 books are composed of 4.5%, 36.2% each relating with ocean environment. But the last one is nothing. 3. Therefore, even a little contents of ocean environment and its conservation, it is necessary to add as the reasonable rate to the characteristics of each book in 36 special-subject textbooks. 4. And also it is shown that the common-subject textbooks,'ocean science', ' earth science I' and 'earth science II', are composed of 35.7%, 10%, 16.7% each. So we'd like to recommend that the contents of ocean pollution and environmental conservation have to add more.

The purpose of this study is to suggest the general education contents for undergraduate students at engineering related departments through need analysis in order to develop creative and integral talents. For this study, the need analysis was conducted by using focus group interviews, Borich's educational need equation and the Locus for Focus Model, and highly ranked priorities on both methods proposed as the highest priorities. As a result, 'drawing up a letter of self-introduction and a portfolio', 'understanding fields', 'understanding careers related to the major', 'presentation skills', 'knowledge for certificated exams', 'method to deduct creative ideas' were high on the list of top five priorities. The selected items by Locus for Focus Model show that undergraduate students at engineering related departments need general education contents associated with career development and communication by priority.

This paper designed 3D animation in consideration of human characteristics to stimulate their interest and to be more understandable to them. It was also confirmed that, using the 3D animation contents, general people came to recognize the problem of environment pollution and developed desirable attitude and behavior for protecting the environment. Furthermore, this paper suggested the direction of systematic environmental education and other general people education institutions using the developed 3D animation contents as a teaching material.

To produce several high-quality species of Chwinamul (Aster scaber, A. Tataricus, Ligularia fischeri), leaves of the plants grown in different natural habitats were anlayzed. Contents in vitamin C and $\beta$-carotene were generally higher in plants grown in the field. However, Aster scaber picked form Yongwol and A. tataricus from Mt.Taryong contained relatively higher vitamin c and $\beta$ carotene. Crude protein and fat contents varied depending on the growing area. Ca content was markedly higher in the plants grown in the natural havitats.
