Gastroduodenal intussusception, an invagination of a part of the gastric wall through the pyloric canal into the duodenum is a rare condition. Gastroduodenal intussusception is caused by a mobile usually benign gastric tumor. However, gastroduodenal intussusception by gastric submucosal hemangiomatosis is not documented. We have managed a case of gastric submucosal tumor leading to gastroduodenal intussusception in 2 years and 10 months old boy. The tumor was $10{\times}5{\times}3cm$ in size in posterior wall of gastric antrum. Laparotomy, manual reduction of the intussusception, and wedge resection of posterior gastric wall including the tumor were performed. Pathologic diagnosis was a submucosal hemangiomatosis.

Gastroduodenal intussusception is an invagination of part of the stomach through the pylorus and into the duodenum for a varying distance. The lead point of the intussusception is usually a benign gastric tumor such as gastric adenoma. We report a case of gastroduodenal intussusception in a 33-month-old boy presented with nonbilious vomiting and abdominal pain. Laparotomy revealed a gastroduodenal intussusception. After reduction and gastrostomy, a mass measuring $15{\times}5\;cm$ in size, was found at the leading point of the intussusceptum. The mass was resected, and pathological diagnosis showed a gastric hemangiomatosis.

Gastroduodenal intussusception is an infrequent cause of gastrointestinal obstructive disease. Benign neoplasms, gastrointestinal stromal tumors and pedunculated adenocarcinomas of less than 5 cm have been reported to cause gastroduodenal intussusception. We report a case of 76-year-old woman who was presented with a 3-day history of nausea and vomiting due to upper gastrointestinal obstruction. Computed tomography revealed gastroduodenal intussusception with the transpyloric herniation of alarge gastric hyperplastic polyp. The patient underwent laparoscopic wedge resection with the eversion method.

Patients with symptomatic gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST) typically present with gastrointestinal bleeding and abdominal pain. This report presents an unusual case of fundic GIST complicated by gastroduodenal intussusception, manifesting as acute pancreatitis. The patient presented with epigastric pain and pancreatic enzyme elevation; thus, he was diagnosed with acute pancreatitis. Computed tomography showed evidence of pancreatitis and a 4×4.7 cm well-defined hyperdense lesion in the 2nd part of the duodenum, compressing the pancreatic head and pancreatic duct. Esophagogastroduodenoscopy revealed invagination of the gastric folds into the duodenum, causing pyloric canal blockage consistent with gastroduodenal intussusception. Spontaneous reduction of the lesion during endoscopy revealed a 4 cm pedunculated subepithelial mass with central ulceration originating from the gastric fundus. Endoscopic ultrasound demonstrated a heterogeneous hypoechoic lesion originating from the 4th layer of the gastric wall. Laparoscopic-endoscopic intragastric wedge resection of the fundic lesion was subsequently performed, and surgical histology confirmed GIST.

Gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GISTs) are rare tumors of the gastrointestinal system and comprise only 1% to 3% of all gastrointestinal tract tumors, with the majority of them arising in the stomach. In this report, we present the unique findings of a case of gastroduodenal intussusception caused by an underlying gastric GIST and complicated with severe acute pancreatitis.
